Hemiaegina minuta Mayer, 1890 belonging to the family Caprellidae was collected from Jeju Island in Korea. This species has extensive habitats worldwide but it is the first record of the genus Hemiaegina from Korean waters. This monotypic species of the genus Hemiaegina has the following characteristics: gnathopod 1, propodus with a roundly swollen proximal projection; gnathopod 2, propodus with a bilobed triangular process; pereonite 2 with a pair of projections ventrally; and pereopod 7, propodus with a serrated palm. In this study, H. minuta is fully illustrated based on the mature specimens.

A parasquillid stomatopod, Faughnia haani(Holthuis, 1959), collected from Jeju Island, is reported for the first time in Korea. This species is characterized by the presence of obtuse anterolateral angles of carapace, median and three pairs of longitudinal carinae on telson, and crenulate inner margin of uropodal protopod. In this paper, a detailed description and illustrations are provided. As a result of this study, the geographical distribution of the present species is extended and 15 species of stomatopods including this species are now recorded in Korean fauna. The specimen examined herein was deposited in the National Institute of Biological Resources(NIBR).

A squillid stomatopod, Oratosquilla fabricii, collected from Jindo Island, is reported for the first time in Korea. The family Squillidae differs from other families by the presence of more than four intermediate denticles of telson. This species is distinguished from O. oratoria, another Oratosquilla species recorded in Korea, by the presence of an armed submedian carinae on the fourth abdominal somite and dark patches on the second abdominal somite. In the present study, detailed descriptions and illustrations of O. fabricii are provided. A key to the species of Korean Oratosquilla species is also presented. With this new record, the number of stomatopod species in the Korean fauna has increased to 16.

Members of Allobathynella Morimoto and Miura, 1957 and Hangangbathynella Park and Cho, 2013 belong to the family Parabathynellidae Noodt, 1965 exclusively inhabit subterranean environments including caves, springs, and interstitial groundwater. Among them, two parabathynellid species, Allobathynella cheongdoensis Park and Cho, 2016 and Hangangbathynella taechooni Park and Cho, 2013, have been reported in the hyporheic zones of the Nakdonggang and Namhangang Rivers in South Korea, respectively. To evaluate gene markers as diagnostic characters, we determined mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (CO1) and nuclear 18S rDNA from the topotypes of two Korean parabathynellid species, and then analyzed the genetic divergence among the two parabathynellids and their congeners. Additionally, we provided their habitus photographs and a brief discussion of the usefulness of the two marker regions for both genera as DNA barcodes.
