Empirical study on BlenderBot 2.0's errors analysis in terms of model, data and dialogue (모델, 데이터, 대화 관점에서의 BlendorBot 2.0 오류 분석 연구)

  • Blenderbot 2.0 is a dialogue model representing open domain chatbots by reflecting real-time information and remembering user information for a long time through an internet search module and multi-session. Nevertheless, the model still has many improvements. Therefore, this paper analyzes the limitations and errors of BlenderBot 2.0 from three perspectives: model, data, and dialogue. From the data point of view, we point out errors that the guidelines provided to workers during the crowdsourcing process were not clear, and the process of refining hate speech in the collected data and verifying the accuracy of internet-based information was lacking. Finally, from the viewpoint of dialogue, nine types of problems found during conversation and their causes are thoroughly analyzed. Furthermore, practical improvement methods are proposed for each point of view, and we discuss several potential future research directions.

  • The purpose of this study is to summarize recent research on new product development (NPD) and to examine the direction of future research on NPD. In recent years, product development has also become more diversified due to the formation and disappearance of new markets, the increasing commoditization of products, and the emergence of new technological infrastructures such as ICT and crowdsourcing. In addition, NPD research is also in a situation where new research is emerging along with the progress of research in related areas, such as open innovation and customer participation. On the other hand, research on NPD has become increasingly fragmented into themes related to NPD as research progresses, making it more difficult to grasp the overall picture of NPD research, although review articles on NPD have been written. Not many review articles have been written in a way that goes beyond the individual themes of NPD research. However, even though it is impossible to look at NPD research as a whole, this study believe that by daring to conduct an exhaustive review of recent NPD research, rather than individual issues, and by understanding the types of discussions that have taken place in recent NPD research, this study can identify areas that require further discussion. Based on the above, the purpose of this study is to comprehensively examine and organize the topics and issues that have been dealt with in recent NPD research, point out the topics that have not been adequately dealt with in previous research, and indicate the direction of future research. This study found that (1) half of the previous studies this study reviewed dealt with the topic of collaboration in NPD, (2) existing studies on NPD assume that the purpose of NPD is to gain competitive advantage through differentiation, but the formation of the market itself through NPD has not been discussed However, it became clear that there has been no discussion of the formation of the market itself through NPD. While the formation and disappearance of new markets has become a common phenomenon in recent years as the competitive environment changes more and more rapidly, the formation of new markets through NPD may also be discussed as a new research area of NPD. Performance Evaluation and Analysis on Single and Multi-Network Virtualization Systems with Virtio and SR-IOV (가상화 시스템에서 Virtio와 SR-IOV 적용에 대한 단일 및 다중 네트워크 성능 평가 및 분석)

  • As functions that support virtualization on their own in hardware are developed, user applications having various workloads are operating efficiently in the virtualization system. SR-IOV is a virtualization support function that takes direct access to PCI devices, thus giving a high I/O performance by minimizing the need for hypervisor or operating system interventions. With SR-IOV, network I/O acceleration can be realized in virtualization systems that have relatively long I/O paths compared to bare-metal systems and frequent context switches between the user area and kernel area. To take performance advantages of SR-IOV, network resource management policies that can derive optimal network performance when SR-IOV is applied to an instance such as a virtual machine(VM) or container are being actively studied.This paper evaluates and analyzes the network performance of SR-IOV implementing I/O acceleration is compared with Virtio in terms of 1) network delay, 2) network throughput, 3) network fairness, 4) performance interference, and 5) multi-network. The contributions of this paper are as follows. First, the network I/O process of Virtio and SR-IOV was clearly explained in the virtualization system, and second, the evaluation results of the network performance of Virtio and SR-IOV were analyzed based on various performance metrics. Third, the system overhead and the possibility of optimization for the SR-IOV network in a virtualization system with high VM density were experimentally confirmed. The experimental results and analysis of the paper are expected to be referenced in the network resource management policy for virtualization systems that operate network-intensive services such as smart factories, connected cars, deep learning inference models, and crowdsourcing.

Building a Korean Sentiment Lexicon Using Collective Intelligence (집단지성을 이용한 한글 감성어 사전 구축)

  • Recently, emerging the notion of big data and social media has led us to enter data's big bang. Social networking services are widely used by people around the world, and they have become a part of major communication tools for all ages. Over the last decade, as online social networking sites become increasingly popular, companies tend to focus on advanced social media analysis for their marketing strategies. In addition to social media analysis, companies are mainly concerned about propagating of negative opinions on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as e-commerce sites. The effect of online word of mouth (WOM) such as product rating, product review, and product recommendations is very influential, and negative opinions have significant impact on product sales. This trend has increased researchers' attention to a natural language processing, such as a sentiment analysis. A sentiment analysis, also refers to as an opinion mining, is a process of identifying the polarity of subjective information and has been applied to various research and practical fields. However, there are obstacles lies when Korean language (Hangul) is used in a natural language processing because it is an agglutinative language with rich morphology pose problems. Therefore, there is a lack of Korean natural language processing resources such as a sentiment lexicon, and this has resulted in significant limitations for researchers and practitioners who are considering sentiment analysis. Our study builds a Korean sentiment lexicon with collective intelligence, and provides API (Application Programming Interface) service to open and share a sentiment lexicon data with the public (www.openhangul.com). For the pre-processing, we have created a Korean lexicon database with over 517,178 words and classified them into sentiment and non-sentiment words. In order to classify them, we first identified stop words which often quite likely to play a negative role in sentiment analysis and excluded them from our sentiment scoring. In general, sentiment words are nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs as they have sentimental expressions such as positive, neutral, and negative. On the other hands, non-sentiment words are interjection, determiner, numeral, postposition, etc. as they generally have no sentimental expressions. To build a reliable sentiment lexicon, we have adopted a concept of collective intelligence as a model for crowdsourcing. In addition, a concept of folksonomy has been implemented in the process of taxonomy to help collective intelligence. In order to make up for an inherent weakness of folksonomy, we have adopted a majority rule by building a voting system. Participants, as voters were offered three voting options to choose from positivity, negativity, and neutrality, and the voting have been conducted on one of the largest social networking sites for college students in Korea. More than 35,000 votes have been made by college students in Korea, and we keep this voting system open by maintaining the project as a perpetual study. Besides, any change in the sentiment score of words can be an important observation because it enables us to keep track of temporal changes in Korean language as a natural language. Lastly, our study offers a RESTful, JSON based API service through a web platform to make easier support for users such as researchers, companies, and developers. Finally, our study makes important contributions to both research and practice. In terms of research, our Korean sentiment lexicon plays an important role as a resource for Korean natural language processing. In terms of practice, practitioners such as managers and marketers can implement sentiment analysis effectively by using Korean sentiment lexicon we built. Moreover, our study sheds new light on the value of folksonomy by combining collective intelligence, and we also expect to give a new direction and a new start to the development of Korean natural language processing.

The Impact of Utilizing Online Outsourcing in Startups on Member Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction (스타트업의 온라인 아웃소싱 활용이 구성원 조직몰입과 직무만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The importance of sustainable growth and cost reduction has increased globally, leading to the expansion of outsourcing by companies. Additionally, the spread of the platform economy has brought changes in the way we work, and the online outsourcing market, where tasks are mediated through platforms, is growing. Academically, while research on general outsourcing is actively conducted, studies on online outsourcing are relatively insufficient compared to its actual utilization. This study aims to analyze the factors and performance factors of online outsourcing utilization by startups, to identify the effects and concerns of using online outsourcing from multiple perspectives, and to suggest the roles of various stakeholders for effective utilization and industry development. For the research, a survey was conducted with 281 employees of startups who have experience in using online outsourcing, and the main findings are as follows. First, the enhancement of efficiency, profitability, and innovation through the use of online outsourcing positively affects organizational commitment and job satisfaction of startup members. Especially, the improvement of efficiency due to the use of online outsourcing has a significant effect on enhancing job satisfaction. Second, concerns about the burden of online outsourcing fees or uncertain outcomes negatively affect organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Third, there are perceptual differences in the motivations and performance regarding the utilization of online outsourcing depending on the job position. Practitioners perceive that the use of online outsourcing increases organizational commitment, whereas managers have relatively higher concerns about the uncertainty of outsourced task outcomes and information security. Through this study, the possibility that human resource shortages and employee management issues in startups can be improved through online outsourcing was confirmed. By verifying the influence of various factors of online outsourcing utilization, this study also provides meaningful implications for establishing business strategies for online outsourcing intermediary platform companies and for formulating startup support policies by government and other startup support organizations.
