  • Membrane proteins play a essential role in the biological systems and it is not easy to handle a membrane protein for its structural study. Solid-state NMR (ssNMR) can be a good tool to investigate the structures and dynamics of membrane proteins. In ssNMR, Magic Angle Spinning (MAS) and Cross Polarization (CP) can be utilized to reduce the line-broadening, leading to high resolution and sensitivity in the spectrum. ssNMR, if combined with other spectroscopic methods, can provide us a enough knowledge on structures and dynamics of membrane proteins in biological condition.

  • The paper focuses on Device-to-device (D2D) Architectures evaluation frameworks. D2D communication and discovery can improve spectrum usage efficiency and optimize the tradeoffs between throughput and energy consumption. The target operation modes involve both indirect communication between two nodes via a base station or the direct communication among proximal nodes, enabling use cases that can support communications out of cellular coverage, as well as low end-end delay requirements. The paper will present the architectural evolution of D2D networks within 3GPP standardization and will highlight key network functionalities and signaling protocols. It will also identify key analytical and simulation models that can be used to assess the performance and energy efficiency of resource allocation strategies, and it will present a suitable cross-layer integrated framework.

  • A method of the leak detection from the pipe system by using accelerometer is proposed. The signal detected from accelerometer is proved experimentally to be a dispersive wave. Based on the experiments, a method using the narrow band pass filter and the unit impulse response function is analyzed. The method uses the characteristics of the unit impulse response function, that the function is available evenin the narrow band signal because, unlike the cross correlation, it is normalized by the auto spectrum. The accelerometer is quite easier to use than the hydrophone in adapting to the pipe system.

  • A new signal processing technique, the directional harmonic wavelet map(dHWM), is presented to characterize the instantaneous planar motion of a measurement point in a structure from its transient complex-valued vibration signal. It is proven that the directional auto-HWM essentially tracks the shape and directively of the instantaneous planar motion, whereas the phase of the directional cross-HWM indicates its inclination angle. Finally, the technique is suessfully applied to an automobile engine for characterization of its transient motion during crank-on/idling/engine-off.

  • There has been considerable interest in recent years in field-responsive suspensions, which are of some importance in industry in many different applications. The microstructure of these materials is a significant issue which can be probed by rheological measurements. In this study, measurements were made of a magnetorheological fluid (MRF) under steady and oscillatory shear flow, with and without a magnetic field. Mathematical inversion was used to derive the relaxation time spectrum of the MRF from oscillatory shear data. Experimental evidence is presented of the gel-like properties of this MRF.

  • The performance of noncoherent fast frequency-hopped spread spectrum multiple access communication systems with square-law combining over fading channel is presented. The expression for the probalility of error as a performance measure is derived by means of momenting function of the dedecision variables, and the cross-covariance of the fading process the ambiguty function of the transmitted signals.

  • This paper discusses the spectral efficiency and performance of asynchronous direct sequency spread spectrum multiple access systems strict bandwidth limitation by Nyquist filtering. The signal to noise plus interference ratio(SNIR) at the output from the correlation receiver is derived analytically taking the cross correlation characteristics of spreading sequences into account, and also an approximated SNIR of a simple form is presented for the systems employing Gold sequences. Based on the analyzed result of SNIR, bit error rate performance and spectral efficiency are also estimated. and at last, we analyzed improvement rate using RS, convolution as a method for improving functions.

  • The heme assignment of the 1H NMR spectrum of cytochrome c3 of Desulfovibrio vulgaris Hildenborough within the X-ray structure were fully cross established according to their redox potential. The major reduction of the heme turned out to take place in the order of hemes Ⅳ,Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ(the heme numbers indicating the order of bonding to the primary sequence). This assignment can provide the physicochemical basis for the elucidation of electron transfer of this protein.

  • In this paper, the physical and volume resistivity properties of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) for ultra-high voltage investigated due to temperature dependence, and the measurement of volume resistivity used to highmegohm meter is measured from 1 to 30 minutes when the each applied voltage, for example, DC 100[V], 250[V], 500[V] and 1000[V] is applied, according to the step voltage application method. From FT-IR spectrum as an analysis of physical properties, a strong absorption in wavenumbers 700 to 730[$cm^{-1}$ /], 1456[$cm^{-1}$ /] and 2700 to 3000 [$cm^{-1}$ /] observed by the methyl groups(CH$_2$). From the analysis of DSC, the crystalline melting points of the specimen observed in the temperature 60[$^{\circ}C$] and 106.58[$^{\circ}C$].
