Purpose: This study is to assess the level of student perceptions, academic achievement, satisfaction, and their relationships in a medical-surgical nursing course using team-based learning (TBL). Method: Four-hour TBL sessions were given in a structured three-phase sequence in a cohort of 261 second year nursing students. Results: Mean perceptions of TBL was $6.64{\pm}5.11$, and $8.30{\pm}4.11$ for perceptions of teamwork. On a 7-point scale, the mean satisfaction score was $4.85{\pm}1.41$, and 64.0% of nursing students were satisfied with TBL compared to lecture. Group readiness assurance test score was significantly higher than individual readiness assurance test score (t=-16.76, p<.001). Perceptions of TBL (F=1.40, p=.245), perceptions of team work (F=1.55, p=.202) and satisfaction (F=0.81, p=.489) was not different by the level of students' academic achievement on items related TBL. Conclusion: Results indicates that TBL was an effective instructional strategy including favorable perceptions and satisfaction for nursing students. TBL could be an adjunct educational strategy for undergraduate nursing education.

Long span cross-rope suspension structure is an innovative structural system evolved from typical Cross-Rope Suspension (CRS) guyed tower, a type of supporting system with short span suspension cable supporting overhead power transmission lines. In mountainous areas, the span length of suspension cable was designed to be extended to hundreds or over one thousand meters, which is applicable for crossing deep valleys. Vortex Induced Vibration (VIV) of overhead power transmission lines was considered to be one of the major factors of its fatigue and service life. In this paper, VIV and its controlling by Stockbridge damper for long span CRS was discussed. Firstly, energy balance method and finite element method for assessing VIV of CRS were presented. An approach of establishing FE model of long span CRS structure with dampers was introduced. The effect of Stockbridge damper for overall vibration of CRS was compared in both theoretical and numerical approaches. Results indicated that vibration characteristics of conductor in long span CRS compared with traditional tower-line system. Secondly, analysis on long span CRS including Stockbridge damper showed additional dampers installed were essential for controlling maximum dynamic bending stresses of conductors at both ends. Moreover, factors, including configuration and mass of Stockbridge damper, span length of suspension cable and conductor and number of spans of conductor, were assessed for further discussion on VIV controlling of long span CRS.

본 연구의 목적은 교과 교육과정과 연계할 수 있는 범교과 학습주제의 성취기준을 분석하고, 학교도서관에 활용할 수 있는 진로독서와 관련된 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하는 데 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 위해 첫째, 2015 개정 교육과정의 범교과 학습주제를 10개 주제로 범주화하고, 진로교육의 세부 내용요소를 통합적으로 다룰 수 있는 범교과 학습 활동을 통해 독서교육 프로그램과 연계하여 수업모형을 설계하였다. 둘째, 중학생 5개 반 137명을 대상으로 한 학기 동안 범교과 기반의 진로독서 수업모형을 통해 자기이해, 진로탐색, 진로설계 영역의 진로독서 수업을 실행하였다. 셋째, 연구의 분석을 위해 진로독서 평가 자료를 구축하여 분석하였으며 일화기록과 체크리스트의 다각적인 관찰과 실행연구를 수행하였다. 마지막으로 진로독서 스토리텔링과 흥미유형의 진로 멘토 중심 도서목록 자료를 제시하고, 학교 현장에서의 진로독서 교육 활동을 제안하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine clinical nurses' perception and education needs for concepts related marketing. Methods: The subjects of this study were 340 nurses who were working in the 9 general hospitals located in Seoul and Gyeonggido. The data were collected using structured questionnaire(Cronbach'${\alpha}$=.98) from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31. of 2005. For data analysis, the SPSS/PC program Version 12.0 was used. Results: The highest mean score of nurses' perception for concepts related marketing was client satisfaction and the lowest mean score was marketing mix. The highest mean score of nurses' education needs was client satisfaction and the lowest mean score was marketing mix. The correlation between subject's general characteristics and nurse's perception was showed in nurses' age, education, hospital size, clinical career, position. The correlation between subject's general characteristics and nurses' education needs was viewed in age, clinical career, position. Conclusion: These results can be used to develop for clinical nurses' marketing education course and plan for marketing strategies of nursing organization.

In recent years, many of medical institution have reinforced educations for their employees aiming to secure competitiveness and to achieve higher performances. In an effort to actively response to the fast changing environment in the medical industry, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has implemented "Innovation and Service promotion" educations for employees of 34 regional medical institutions and 6 Red Cross hospitals. In this regards, the effect of the educations to change employees' mind for innovation and services and its results need to be evaluated. This study conducted surveys asking participants of the 2006 Education for Innovation of Regional Public Hospital Employees and Service Promotion and synthetically analyzes the effect of the education on their mind for services compare to their mind before the education. As a result, more them 92% of participants say that they are satisfied with the education, and many more participants agreed the effect of the education to change their mind for services. Under this circumstance, after the educations participants change more positively on "their mind for innovative services" and "their service skills in practice".

Objectives: By analysing the recent trends of published papers in the Korean Journal of Health Education and Promotion, this study aims to identify and discuss some challenging issues, and to provide recommendations for quality improvement of the research papers. Methods: One hundred and sixty five papers published between 2009 and 2011 were examined and categorized according to selected standards. Results are displayed in frequencies and percentages. Results: The volume of articles published has increased by two-folds in three decades since the publication of the first issue. More than 90% of the papers were original articles. Cross-sectional research design was most frequently applied, while only 11.5 % of the articles were intervention studies. For cross-sectional research articles, limitation in generalizability of the study findings was mentioned as one of the major issues, in relation with the frequent use of convenient sampling methods and lack of theoretical evidence in inclusion of variables. Consideration of internal and external validity of the study, utilization of scientific evaluation design and mixed evaluation methods were recommended for intervention research to improve the quality of the research results. Conclusion: To serve as a key resource for evidence-based practices in health promotion, more strict scientific research criteria should be applied to the articles published in the Korean Journal of Health Education and Promotion.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find factors influencing needlestick and sharp injuries (NSI). Methods: This study was a descriptive research for current situation of NSI, recognition and implementation for standard precaution, and factors influencing NSI exposures. The subjects were 450 nursing students of 2 universities in Seoul and Kyunggi-do. The data were collected from June to November, 2008. The gathered data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and regression analysis. Results: The 33.8% of 450 nursing students experienced NSI during 2 weeks clinical training. NSI events were more common among third-year students than second-year students. The most common causative device causing needlestick injuries was blood glucose lancet as 12.4%. Frequencies influencing NSI were students' year and experience of needlestick injuries. Conclusion: The results suggest development of education guidelines for nursing students and implementation of continual systematic education and training in clinic to control blood-borne infections efficiently.

Graphene has attracted an increasing attention due to its extraordinary electronic, mechanical, and thermal properties. Especially, the two dimensional (2D) sheet of graphene with an extremely high surface to volume ratio has a great potential in the preparation of multifunctional nanomaterials, as 2D supports to host metal nanoparticles (NPs). Copper oxide is widely used in various areas as antifouling paint, p-type semiconductor, dry cell batteries, and catalysts. Although the copper oxide(II) has been well known for efficient catalyst in C-N cross-coupling reaction, copper oxide(I) has not been highlighted. In this research, CuO and Cu2O nanoparticles (NPs) dispersed on the surface of grapehene oxide (GO) have been synthesized by impregnation method and their morphological and electronic structures have been systemically investigated using TEM, XRD, and XAFS. We demonstrate that both CuO and Cu2O on graphene presents efficient catalytic performance toward C-N cross coupling reaction. The detailed structural difference between CuO and Cu2O NPs and their effect on catalytic performance are discussed.
