최적 총체사료벼 품종 선발을 위한 건물수량 및 사료가치 분석 (Analysis of Dry Matter Yield and Feed Value for Selecting of Whole Crop Rice)

  • This study was carried out to obtain basic information on variety selection for the utilization of whole crop rices(WCR) at National Institute of Crop Science, RDA, in 2004. Fifteen varieties and elite line were evaluated on feed value such as dry matter yield(DMY), crude protein( CP), acid detergent fiber(ADF), neutral detergent fiber(NDF) and total digestible nutrients(TDN). The dry matter yields were ranged from 13.23 to 17.83 ton per ha, the highest yielding varieties were Sobibyeo(l6.98ton / ha) in Japonica type, SR22060 (17.83 ton / ha) in New plant type, Hangangchalbyeo(I7.66 ton / ha) in Tongil type. Suweon 468 showed the highest value in the RFV and TDN content among the varieties, and Suweon 468, Suweon 498, Suweon 490 and SR22058 were chosen to have the high feed values through cluster analysis. The dry weight(grain) was found to be positively related with percent of the ripened grain, 1,000 grain weight and CPo TDN content was found to be positively related with CP, but negatively related with NDF and ADF. RFV was found to be negatively related with plant height, NDF and ADF. The promising rice varieties for WCR were Suweon 468, Suweon 498, Suweon 490 and SR22058 on the basis of CP, TDN and DMY.

A new Atractylodes spp. hybrid cultivar 'Manchul' with high yielding and disease tolerance

  • Atractylodes japonica and Atractylodes macrocephala belongs to Atractylodes genus and theirs roots are used as 'Baek-chul'(White atractylodes rhizome) in Korea Pharmacopoeia. 'Baek-chul' widely used in traditional herbal remedies in Asia. Concurrently, the 'Baek-chul' demand enormously increased in the market due to the growing interest in favoring health benefits but it is depend on import from China. Thus we conducted breeding research to solve the problems associated with domestically cultivated 'Baek-chul' such as low productivity and low disease tolence. We crossed A. japonica (female parent) and A. macrocephala (male parent) in the greenhouse in September 2000. the next season 119 crossed line seeds were collected and germinated in the green house. Among them we selected the good lines in the same season. then conducted replicated yield trials (RYT) in 2014 to local adaptability test (LAT) in 2015-2016. The results showed that the 'AJM16' line has beneficial charactersitcs like, increased plant height, large rhizome diameter, narrow leaf width compared with a 'Sang-chul' (check cultivar) and varied flower color from A. japonica (female parent). The line 'AJM16' was also exhibited decreased anthracnose symptoms(Colletotrichum gloeosporides Penz.). Simultaneously the root yield of AJM16 was 2,409 kg per are, which was increased 130% higher yield compared to 'Sang-chul' (check cultivar) at three various regions from 2015 to 2016. Therefore, we named AJM16 as new cultivar 'Man-chul'. According the results, we have developed a new Atractylodes spp. hybrid cultivar 'Macn-chul' with high yielding and disease tolerance by National Institute of Horticulture and Herbal Science, RDA, in 2016.

A Wheat Variety, "Hwanggeumal" with Good Bread Quality, Red Grain, Partial Waxy, Tolerance to PHS

  • A new winter wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) cultivar "Hwanggeumal" was developed by the NICS(National Institute of Crop Science), RDA(Rular Dvelopment Administraion) in 2019. It was derived from a cross of the "Jokyoung//Kauz/Rayon" and "Jopoom" in 2008. It had advanced generation through bulk and pedigree method for seven years and designated line name "Jeonju398" after AYT(Advance Yield Trial) test for two years. And "Hwangeumal" was designated variety name after RYT(Regional Yield Trial) test in eight locations around Korea for two years from 2018 to 2019. Its heading date was April 19 and maturity date was May 31, which were similar to Jokyoung. "Hwanggeumal" had shorter plant height(75 cm) and spike length(7.1 cm), spikes per m2(699) and lower 1,000 grain weight(44.2 g) than "Jokyoung"(78 cm, 8.2 cm, 776, 46.6 g, respectively). "Hwanggeumal" was showed weak to winter hardiness and susceptible to powdery mildew but tolerance to PHS(Pre-harvest sprouting). The average grain yield in the AYT was 6.2 ton/ha, which were 10% more than "Jokyoung" And in the RYT was 5.1 ton/ha in upland and 4.4 ton/ha in paddy field, which were lower than "Jokyoung", respectively. "Hwanggeumal"s flour yield (71.4%) and flour lightness (91.82) showed similar to "Jokyung" and higher protein content (14.0%) and gluten content (10.3%) and SDS-sedimentation volume (60.3ml). These result showed that the "Hwanggeumal" dough strength of flour is strong than "Jokyung". "Hwanggeumal"s HMW-GS(High molecular weight gluten subunits) composition are Glu-D1 (5+10), Granule-bound starch synthase(GBSS) composition are Wx-A1 (a), Wx-B1 (b), Wx-D1 (a) and composition of Puroindolines are Pina-D1(a), Pinb-D1(b).

기계이앙답에서 무인헬기를 이용한 imazosulfuron·mefenacet의 잡초방제효과 (Application of remote-controlled aerial application to control weeds on the paddy field using imazosulfuron·mefenacet)

  • The experiment was conducted to investigate the herbicidal efficacy of imazosulfuron mefenacet by using remote-controlled aerial application (RCAA) to control annual and perennial weeds in rice paddy field. Eight annual weed species including Echinochloa crus-galli L. and three perennial weeds were dominated in the experimental field. Application of imazosulfuron mefenacet using RCAA was highly effective to control both annual and perennial weed species. No phytotoxic effect was observed in the rice based on the plant height and the number of tillers. Finally, rice yield in the imazosulfuron mefenacet treatment was as much as that in the hand weeding. This study indicates that imazosulfuron mefenacet using RCAA can be applied to control both annual and perennial weed species in rice paddy field.

중립 내병 다수성 장류·두부용 콩 '늘찬' ('Neulchan', a Middle-seed, Disease-resistant, and High-yield Soybean Cultivar for Soy-paste and Tofu)

  • '늘찬'은 '석량풋콩'과 '장엽콩'의 후대인 SS91501-9-1-1를 모본으로 '목포17호'와 '신팔달콩2호'의 교배후대인 SS96205을 부본으로 1998년에 인공교배하여 계통육종법에 의하여 선발된 품종이다. 2006~2008년 생산력검정시험에서 중립으로 병에 강하여 재배안정성이 높고 다수성으로 유망시되어 '밀양206호'의 계통명을 부여한 후 '09년에서 '11년까지 3년간 9개소에서 지역적응시험을 실시한 결과 중립 내병 내재해 우량계통으로 평가되어 품종보호출원 및 국가품종목록으로 등재하였다. '늘찬'은 유한신육형, 화색이 백색, 협색이 담갈색, 종실은 종피와 제색이 황색이면서 모양이 구형인 장류 및 두부용 콩품종이다. 개화기가 7월 30일, 성숙기가 10월 9일로 중만생종이며 경장은 '대원콩' 보다 4 cm 짧으며 주경절수가 14개로 같고, 백립중이 21.7 g으로 가벼운 특성을 지니고 있다. 검은뿌리썩음병은 다소 약하지만 불마름병과 콩모자이크바이러스에 저항성 품종이다. 두부가공특성은 '대원콩' 대비 밝기가 비슷한 정도였으며 경도도 '대원콩'과 비슷한 특성을 나타냈다. 메주 풍취와 청국장 풍취는 '대원콩'보다 약간 못하였으며 메주수율과 청국장 γ-PGA 함량이 '대원콩' 보다 우수하였다. 수량성은 지역적응시험 결과 전국 평균 2.95 ton/ha, 적응지역인 이모작 지대에서 3.07 ton/ha로 '대원콩'보다 약간 많은 다수성 품종이다.

도입 우슬의 생육특성 및 국내 적응성 (Growth Characteristics and Adaptability of Introduced Achyranthes bidentata Blume in Korea)

  • 중국에서 도입된 우슬 (Achyranthes bidentata.)을 신소득작물로 개발하기 위하여 국내 적응성을 검토하였다. A. bidentata는 $25^{\circ}C$$15^{\circ}C$에서 파종 후 각기 3일과 5일경부터 발아가 시작되었고, 10일과 15일경에는 대부분의 종자가 발아하였으며, 발아율과 발아세 모두 A. japonica보다 높게 나타났다. 초기생육 및 정식 후 60일까지는 A. bidentata의 생육이 A. japonica보다 양호하였으나, 그 후부터는 반대의 양상을 보였다. A. bidentata의 개화기와 낙엽기는 7월 10일과 9월 26일로 A. japonica에 비하여 월등히 빠르게 나타났다. A. japonica는 줄기색이 녹색 바탕에 옅은 자색을 띠는데 반하여 A. bidentata는 자색을 나타내어 두종 간의 차이가 확실하였다. A. japonica의 키와 분지수는 A. bidentata에 비하여 길고 많으나, 화방군의 길이와 화방군당 꽃수는 짧고 적었다. 뿌리의 길이, 직경, 지근수 및 천립중은 A. bidentata가 A. japonica에 비하여 짧고, 굵고, 적고, 무거운 것으로 조사되었다. A. bidentata의 수량성 (수원, 나주지역 평균)은 A. japonica와 비슷하였으며, A. bidentata는 A. japonica에 비교하여 수원보다 나주지역에서 수량 증수효과가 더욱 큰 것으로 보아 도입종인 A. bidentata의 재배적지는 따뜻한 남부지역으로 판단되었다. 이상의 결과로 한약재 우슬로 대한약전에 새로 수재된 도입우슬의 국내 재배생산 가능성이 확인되어 새로운 한약재 자원식물로 이용 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

$CO_2$ 농도 증가에 따른 벼의 생육 반응 (Response of Rice Growth under $CO_2$ Enrichment)

  • 대기중의 $CO_2$ 농도 증가에 따른 벼의 생육단계별 생육 및 광합성 관련 반응을 관찰한 결과는 다음과 같았다. 1. 벼 유묘기에는 $CO_2$ 농도가 증가하고 처리기간이 길어질수록 일품벼, 추청벼, 화성벼 모두 초장, 경수, 엽면적이 증가하였고 처리 후 18일경에는 대비구에 비해 500ppm, 700ppm에서 건물중 $35\~47\%$ 증가하는 경향이었다(3품종 평균). 2. 벼 유모기의 광합성율은 높은 $CO_2$>농도에서는 증가되었으나 처리기간이 길어져서 생육이 진전될수록 약간 감소하는 경향이었다. 3. 유수형성기 및 출수기에는 $CO_2$농도가 증가함에 따라 초장, 건물 중은 증가되었으나 SPAD값과 광합성속도, 기공전도도, 증산율 등은 처리기간이 길어질수록 감소하였다. 4. 출수 직전부터 55일간 처리한 벼의 수량은 대비구에 비해 500ppm, 700ppm 처리구에서 세 품종 모두 큰 차이가 없었다. 5. $CO_2$농도에 따른 광합성 속도 및 증산량은 농도가 높아지고 광합성속도가 빨라질수록 증산량은 낮아져 수분 이용 효율이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

Starch Properties of Chinese Yam, Dioscorea opposita Thunb.

  • The starch properties of two chinese yams were evaluated in this study. Amylose content ranged 13.5% to 19.3%. The swelling power of starches varied 10.98% to 11.43%. Water binding capacity in chinese yam starches ranged 93.46% to 107.21%, high WBC was observed in Ma 1. The onset temperature (To) of two chinese yam starches ranged 62.9 to $75.0^{\circ}C$, peak temperature (Tp) ranged 76.2 to $84.7^{\circ}C$. The PHI(peak height index) was about 4-fold higher in Anwon cultivar than in Ma 1 cultivar. SEM revealed that starches has a presence of large oval or spherical to small irregular-shape granules. Starch granule size ranged 15.23 to 15.52 ${\mu}m$, showing a typical C-type X-ray pattern.

  • A Zoysia japonica and Miscanthus sinensis grasslands of north-west side on Mt. Kwanak were investigated The most important species in this area were Zoysia japonica and Miscanthus sinensis These two species contributed greatly to the standing crops of live material, which were in excess of 598. 4g /$m^2$ and 698. 7g /$m^2$ during the growing season, respectively. This value would he ucreased if the production of the moss and algal mats which cover the soil surface during the growing season was included. The productive structures of the Zoysia japonica and Mliscanthus si nen sis grasslands were short and long height types of the grasslands, respectively. 개서나무林의 種子生産과 天然更新에 관한 生態學的 硏究 1. 기초연구 (Ecological Studies on the Seed Production and Natural Regeneration in Hornbeam Forest)

  • This study was carried out to estimate the seed crop of Carpinus forest in Piagol of Mt. Chiri for six years and the results obtained were as follows; Upper two layers of Capinus forest were dominated by C. tschonoskii and Subfall tree layer ranging from 15.40 to 17.20 m in height. The distribution of seed weight of C. tsconoski was skewed to light weight classes. Most seeds fall in November. The best crop was shown in 1984, while virtually no crops in 1985. Since 1985, annual seed crop increased gradually.
