약용작물 고수 종자의 형태학적 특성 및 발아조건에 관한 연구 (Seeds Characteristics and Germination of Coriandrum sativum L. on Several Storage Conditions)

  • This study was conducted to obtain the basic data related to seed characteristics and germination conditions of the Coriandrum sativum L. at different storage condition and temperature. The shape of fruit was oval with light brown color. Fruit was mericarp, biloculate, with one ovule in each locus. The length and width of seed were $1.37{\pm}0.067mm$ and $0.52{\pm}0.039mm$, respectively. Weight of 1,000 seeds was $6.55{\pm}0.15g$. Seeds which were stored at room ($15^{\circ}C$) and cold temperature ($4^{\circ}C$) in vinyl container showed the highest germination rate (93.3%) under the room temperature germination condition. Percentage of germination in cold and freeze temperature was 20% and 0%, respectively. Germination rate of room storage seeds with paper container increased to about 91.3%, however, decreased in cold ($4^{\circ}C$) and freeze storage ($-20^{\circ}C$) with paper container (76.7% and 78.0%, respectively). Germination rate of seed in vinyl stock container was better than that of paper stock container. Germination rate of seeds stored at room temperature for 4 years (2010 - 2013) ranged from 80.0% to 91.3%. Therefore, coriander seeds are expected to be stored at room temperature for increasing the germination rate and keeping a long term.

국내산 쌀보리 맥강을 이용한 glutamate로부터 GABA 생산 (Production of γ-aminobutyric Acid Using the Korean Hull-less Barley Bran with Glutamate)

  • 곡류 가공 부산물인 미강과 맥강을 활용한 GABA 생산성 향상을 위하여 맥강과 미강의 첨가량, glutamate 농도 및 보리 품종에 따른 GABA 생산량을 측정 비교하였다. 그 결과 맥강이 미강 보다 모든 조건에서 높은 GABA 생산성을 보였고, 맥강을 활용한 GABA 생산 반응에서 최적 조건은 맥강 첨가량은 0.15 g/mL, glutamate 농도는 10 mM, 반응온도는 $20^{\circ}C$로 이때 glutamate의 GABA로의 전환율은 75.1%였다. 또한 보리 품종에 따른 GABA 생산성은 유의적인 차이를 나타내었으며 다송과 영백찰쌀보리가 높은 GABA 생산성을 나타내었다. 본 연구결과 부산물인 맥강을 이용하여 GABA 생산성을 향상시킬 수 있었으며, 보리 품종이 GABA 생산의 중요 요인으로 작용하였다.

  • Cropping of head and tail ends of rod in wire Rolling Process is required to aviod roll damage, and prevent cobbles. In order to reduce the crop loss, the new crop control system for rotary shear of Wire rolling Process has been developed. Performance shows the developed system cut precisely within setting length. As a result, it is expected to increase the yield ratio of products about 0.2 percent and stabilize the operantional condition.

Weed Emergence as Affected by Burying Depth and Water Management

  • The experiment was conducted to investigate emergence response of lowland weeds at different soil moisture contents, burying depths and upon changes in soil moisture. Rice germination was over 50% at all burying depths under aerobic condition, but the emergence rate of the soil surface placed seeds in saturated and flooded conditions decreased by 19% and 29%, respectively, as compared with that of aerobic condition. Rice seeds at burying depth of over 3 cm did not emerge at all. The emergence rate of Echinochloa crus­galli (L.) Beauv. in aerobic condition was lower than 30%, but the emergence pattern of E. crus galli (L.) Beauv. at different soil moisture contents and seeding depths was similar to that of rice. Emergence behavior of lschaemum rugosum Salisb., Ludwigia octovalvis (Jacq.) Raven and Sphenoclea zeylanica Gaertn. which are dominant lowland weed species in the Philippines also differed depending on soil moisture conditions and burying depths. lschaemum rugosum Salisb. emerged at all burying depths under aerobic condition, whereasLudwigia octovalvis (Jacq.) Raven emerged only at 0 cm deep under saturated and aerobic condition and Sphenoclea zeylanica Gaertn. at 0 cm deep under flooding condition. Weed seeds planted at 1, 3, and 5 cm deep in continuous flooded and saturated condition did not emerge at all, but upon a change of soil moisture condition from saturated to drainage (S$\rightarrow$D) and flooded to drainage (F$\rightarrow$D), grass weeds began to germinate again and the average emergence rate in S$\rightarrow$D and F$\rightarrow$D were 26% and 5% forE. crus­galIi (L.) Beauv., 9% and 8% forI. rugosum SaIisb., respectively. Weed seeds buried in soil in the pot showed great emergence at S$\rightarrow$D but did not emerge under continuous flooded condition. The diversity index accounting for dominance degree and occurrence aspect of weed, was the lowest at F$\rightarrow$D.

초본계 농업부산물 바이오매스의 저장방법 및 저장시기에 따른 이화학적 특성 (Physiochemical Characteristics for Bale Types and Storage Periods of Agricultural By-products as a Lignocellulosic Biomass)

  • 농업유래의 바이오매스 중 볏짚의 저장형태와 저장기간에 따른 수분함량 변화와 바이오매스의 화학적 성분 변화를 분석함으로써 바이오에탄올 생산을 위한 원료의 최적 저장방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 주요 결과는 아래와 같다. 1. 볏짚의 수분함량 변이를 측정한 결과 실내에서 보관한 사각곤포 및 원형곤포는 약 20~25%의 수분함량을 유지하였으며 실외에서 보관한 비가림 시설을 도입한 사각곤포의 경우 20%이하의 낮은 수분함량을 확인하였다. 2. 볏짚의 화학적 성분의 변이를 분석한 결과 실외보관곤포는 cellulose 및 hemicellulose의 함량이 큰 폭으로 감소하였으나, 실내에서 보관한 곤포들은 비닐원형곤포를 제외한 나머지 집속형태에서는 오히려 성분의 함량의 증가를 확인하였다. 3. 볏짚을 장기간 보관할 때에는 외부환경을 차단할 수 있는 실내에서 보관하거나 부득이하게 실외에서 보관할 때 최소 비가림 시설을 도입하여 수분함량 및 화학적 성분의 감소를 최소화해야 바이오에탄올 생산을 위한 고품질의 원료로써 이용될 수 있을 것이다.
