  • Recently, the Korea's economy concerns the second money crisis because of the rapid increase of the exchange rate. The Korea's economy which is very dependent on the foreign trade is more sensitive to the change of exchange rates. There are many literatures which analyze the effects of variations of the exchange rates on the secondary and tertiary industries such as the manufacturing industry and IT(Information Technology). But there have been no studies which try to figure out the effects of variations of exchange rate on the primary industries, especially, fisheries' industry. Therefore this paper tries to analyze the effect of price competition structure and the change of exchange rate on foreign fisheries exporting prices in Korea's fisheries import market. This study utilizes OLS(Ordinary Least Squares Analysis) for the analysis in the market of frozen yellow corvina, hairtail, angler fish which are major fisheries importable in Korea. The results show that the exporting country which has the highest market share is more sensitive to the change of the exchange rates itself than that of the other exporting countries' price when it starts to set up its exporting price. And the exporting countries which have low market share are more sensitive to the change of price which country has the highest market share than that of price whose countries have low market share and those of their exchange rate. Also we can find out that the countries which have similar market share try to set up price-setting strategy in the opposite direction. In other words, one country tries to bid up its price, other countries response to rival country by lowering their prices. In the consideration of the fact that most exporting countries aren't affected by Korea's fisheries' prices, the exporting countries in Korea's fisheries import market are more sensitive to the prices of other exporting countries than that of Korea's. This result indicates that the price leader-follower model could be applicable to the Korea's fisheries import market.

  • A variety of risks caused by natural, technological and biological hazards threaten a business continuity of an organization. Business continuity is very important issue for all organizations and its proper management may control success and failure of an organization. Business continuity plan (BCP) may be defined as a management process which provides a business continuity. BCP includes risk management, operational continuity plan, response/ recovery, exercise/study and crisis communication, etc. Risk management is a systematic method to identify, analyze, evaluate and treat emergency risks and risk assessment is composed of identifying, analyzing and evaluating emergency risks. Risk assesment is the first step for making BCP. In this study, risk assessment has been conducted for sewer laying project. Through assessing risks, 18 risks that may threaten the construction operation are identified and it is founded to be that high levels of risks which require treatment are 'collapse of excavation surface', 'breakage of ground infra-facilities', 'noise & dust dispersion' and 'rise of material costs'.

  • This writing is to understand some trends and its meaning of Regionalism Architecture in Jeju Island since 1950's. This thesis began with an interest in the identity crisis implicit in the simultaneous striving for modernism and the so-called regional values in Jeju Island. Regionalism is a response in architectural terms to re-establish continuity in a given place between past and present forms, and also a unique result related to particular places, cultures and climates in region. This is one way of looking at the issues of regional identity. The study began by observing the general characteristics of contemporary ideas on Regionalism in Jeju architecture. This means that tracing the history of development of Regionalism architecture in research area is not the focus of this thesis. The thesis demonstrates that Regionalism architectures in Jeju shows some trends related to the local cultural elements (or ideas) such like traditional architectural forms, natural environment, local construction-materials, etc. In summation, in the perspective of Regionalism architecture, mostofbuildingsin Jeju bring out them only as vernacular architecture as it was once produced, by the simple combination and imitation without any creative interaction of the regional culture. I stress the point in this paper that, in over the last fifty years, there have been very narrowed attempts to design the regional values in the main, and also point out that there are problems in the manner in which local architects have gone about trying to define the regional themes. So, a grate depth is required to understand the phenomenon that Jeju area is with its various nuances of traditions, art, culture, climate and light and then to reinterpret it into the modern building type with all the high sense. In addition to that, some conclusions are reached on future directions and the significance of the study.

  • Korea is the world's top ten energy consumer, relying on foreign imports for 97% of its total energy. In 2007, energy imports amounted to US $ 95 billion, accounting for 26.6% of total imports. Thus, fundamental and long-term countermeasures against the same energy crisis It is a fact that is required. Despite the fact that the world is moving rapidly around the world in response to energy saving and low-carbon economic era, domestic movements are relatively slow. In this paper, we developed an IoT data collection device (Gateway) to control Light Things (lighting, signage, display, etc.) built in medium and large facilities under the assumption of hospital facilities, We propose the Light Things control algorithm and data acquisition (Gateway) development technology.

  • Considerable number of major countries have put great efforts to leverage the efficiency of power consumption using Smart Grid in order to resolve the critical issues with drastical growing demands regarding electricity, the crisis of environmental pollution and so on. There has been increasing number of researches to construct Smart Grid in Korea as well. The threats of cyber terror attacks which might cause national crisises in terms of economy and society have been climbing up because of the fact that Smart Grid employs bi-directional communications embedding the cyber threats from existing/legacy communication networks. Consequently, it is required to build concrete response processes including investigation and analysis on cyber breaches into Smart Grid. However, the digital evidence acquisition techniques do not suffice to be deployed in Smart Grid systems despite of the fact that the techniques, against cyber breaches into well-known networks, have been studied in plenty of time. This work proposes a novel digital evidence acquisition scheme appropriate to Smart Grid systems through intensive investigation of the evidence acquisition requirements in Smart Grid and the historical evidence acquisition methods.

  • Because of energy crisis and environment pollution, we have become more conscious of the need to conserve heat in buildings. In response to this need. new requirements have been developed for insulation and other matters relating to energy consumption. Among others, more promising is to use the energy that is all around us in the dynamic forces of nature:the wind, tides, waves, rivers, geothermal hot spots, and the sun. The problem is that we have not been forced to find the technological means to convert these natural energies into usable forms because it has been too easy simply to dig or pump our energy out of the ground. Now, the problem is not a shortage of energy itself, but a shortage of technology for converting the energy that lies aoo around us into usable forms. Energy-conversion technology is the real issue, and solar energy is one of the brightest and most promising frontiers in energy conversion. All buildings are wrapped in a skin. Generally skins protect the person in stay from rain, wind, dust, noise, cold, hot etc.. However, there are some skins that provide energy from given environment into the building. Out of aoo, transparent insulation material is one of these materials that most effectively satisfies this kind of envelope function. Since, there are no research on transparent insulation in Korea, it has been studied very actively in Europe and in America. Thus, in this thesis, we will theoratically study and analyze how the heat flows through a trans arrent insulated opaque wall of a school building in Korea. It will be an important information for the effective using guidelines of transparent insulation materials in Korea.

  • The domestic mold industry is composed of 6,560 small and medium sized mold companies as of 2015. The structure of mold industry centered on less than 10 people in the past has been improved in the direction of increasing number of medium and large scale companies with more than 20 competitors with global competitiveness and has maintained its position as the world's second largest mold exporter with global competitiveness. Nevertheless, the manpower structure and corporate competitiveness structure of the mold industry is very high, with the proportion of production manpower reaching 70% and shortage rate of 10% or more in order to respond to the orders of customers. However, the development base for new employees with technological skills required by the industrial field is poor, and the inflow of young people is very limited due to factors such as the avoidance of small and medium enterprises and production jobs. It is expected that the labor shortage of mold enterprises will be further increased in the future. In the mold industry, due to the characteristics of small quantity multi-product production corresponding to the demand of the consumer, many production processes are individually and independently carried out, resulting in low labor productivity, and the structural time required for the worker to increase the working time Due to limitations, the working hours per week of the employees are about 50 hours. The implementation of the working time reduction bill, which is recently promoted by the government, is a crisis factor. In order to cultivate the mold industry, it is necessary to expand the base of molds to meet the intensification of global competition, the convergence of technologies to actively respond to the restructuring of the industrial structure, and the response to the new industry, It is necessary to improve labor productivity through policies such as development and dissemination of system, and to secure price, delivery and quality competitiveness in global market.

  • This study aims to examine terrorism by biological agents. These days terrorism evolved so rapidly that more than one terror occurs a day in global society as we are on the edge of so-called New-terrorism. One of new examples of new terrorism is Bioterrorism by biological agents. In order to address Bioterrorism we should conduct a study to examine things to be prepared at ordinary times and future plans. As an effort to develop countermeasures against Bioterrorism, anti-terrorism laws should be made on Prevention phases anti-terrorism funding laws as well. Other Bioterrorism laws need to be made. On Response phases initial reaction task force should be ready for making positive initial reaction. A special hospital for CBR(Chemical, Biological, and Radiological) warfare needs to be designated to practice medicine. Biological-Safety-Levels should be constructed by IV levels. Effective public promotion network should be built. On Recovery phases evaluation system needs to be suggested and international cooperative network should be established.

  • The government real estate policy has repeatedly relaxed and reinforced controls under the mutually contradictory targets. Switching over the supporting policy after the IMF crisis to the regulating policy from 2003, the government housing policy began to generate ill effects due to various regulations. This stud carefully investigates and statistically tests the transmissions of variations in the housing prices between the metropolitan areas in the early stage of the preceding administration, under the effect of the supporting scheme, and those in the late stage, under the effect of the restricting scheme. The distinctive feature between the two periods is found to be much simplified interrelationships of the price variations in the latter period. Consolidated leading role of capital sphere, by concentrated economic strength, suggest the obvious imbalance between variations in the metropolis housing prices.

  • Terrorism is a serious problem in that it can infringe on a broad range of legal interests, from individual legal interests to national legal interests. And if these legal values are damaged, it is very unlikely that they will be restored to their original state. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize the importance of preventive activities as well as institutional improvement and alternative policies. The role of the criminal justice authority is of paramount importance in ensuring proactive action and procedural legitimacy. It would be meaningful to look at their perception about terrorism before specific procedures and legal approaches are taken. A Study is related terrorism awareness of police officers - focused on 'Comprehensive Emergency Management Model'. Four phases of Comprehensive Emergency Management Model: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
