The relationship between the small-punch creep test and the conventional creep test was investigated experimentally using a method similar to that of the Monkman-Grant relationship. Uniaxial and small-punch creep rupture tests were carried out on 9Cr-2W ferritic steel (Commercial Grade 92 steel: X10CrWMoVNb 9-2) at elevated temperatures. From the relation derived in the same manner as the Monkman-Grant relation, a correlation between the displacement rate in response to the small-punch creep test and the strain rate in the uniaxial creep test was found, and the creep life was calculated using this relation. Furthermore, the failure modes of the small punch creep test specimens were investigated to show that the fracture was caused by creep.
The short-term high temperature creep rupture behavior of Ni-based Alloy718 steels jointed by friction welding wasinvestigated at the elevated temperatures of 550 to $700^{\circ}C$ under constant stress conditions. The creep rupture characteristics such as creep stress, rupture time, steady state creep rate, and initial strain were evaluated. Creep stress has a quantitative correlation between creep rupture time and steady state creep rate. The stress exponents (n, m) of the experimental data at 550, 600, 650 and $700^{\circ}C$ were derived as 26.1, -22.4, 22.5, -18.5, 17.4, -14.3 and 6.9, -8.1, respectively. The stress exponents decreased with increasing creep temperature. The creep life prediction was derived by the Larson-Miller parameter (LMP) method and the result equation obtained is as follows: T(logtr+20)=-0.00148${\sigma}^2$-3.089${\sigma}$+23232. Finally, the results were compared with those of the base metal for Alloy718.

The stress exponent decreased with increasing creep temperature. The creep lift prediction was derived by the Larson-Miller parameter (LMP) method and the resultant equation was obtained as follows: T($logt_r$+20)=-0.00252 ${\sigma}^2$-1.377${\sigma}$+-22718.
The effects of antimony addition on the microstructures and creep behavior of AZ31 magnesium alloy have been investigated. Constant load creep tests were carried out at temperatures ranging from $150^{\circ}C$ to $200^{\circ}C$, and an initial stress of 50MPa for AZ31 alloys containing antimony up to 0.84% by weight. Results show that small additions of antimony to AZ31 effectively decreased the creep extension and steady state creep rates. The steady state creep rate of AZ31 was reduced 2.5 times by the addition of 0.84% of antimony. The steady state creep rate of AZ31-0.84Sb alloy was controlled by dislocation climb in which the activation energy for creep was 128 kJ/mole. The microstructure of as-cast AZ31-0.84%Sb alloy showed the presence of $Mg_3Sb_2$ precipitates dispersed throughout the matrix. The main reason for the higher creep resistance in AZ31-Sb alloys is due to the presence $Mg_3Sb_2$, which effectively hindered the movement of dislocations during the elevated temperature creep.
In this study, a small punch creep(SP-Creep) test using miniaturized specimen(10${\times}$10${\times}$0.5mm) is described to develop the new creep test method for high temperature structural materials. The SP-Creep test is applied to 2.25Cr-lMo(STBA24) steel which is widely used as boiler tube material. The test temperatures applied for the creep deformation of miniaturized specimens are between 550∼600$^{\circ}C$. The SP-Creep curves depend definitely on applied load and creep temperature, and show the three stages of creep behavior like in conventional uniaxial tensile creep curves. The load exponent of miniaturized specimen decreases with increasing test temperature, and its behavior is similar to stress exponent behavior of uniaxial creep test. The creep activation energy obtained from the relationship between SP-Creep rate and test temperature decreases as the applied load increases. A predicting equation or SP-Creep rate for 2.25Cr-lMo steel is suggested. and a good agreement between experimental and calculated data has been found.

This paper focuses on the effect of creep on the critical compressive strain (CCS) of concrete. The strain of concrete corresponding to the peak compressive stress is crucial in the selection of the ultimate yield strength of the reinforcing bar used in reinforced concrete columns. Among the various influencing factors, such as the creep, shrinkage, loading rate and confinement, the effect of creep and shrinkage is the most significant. So far, investigations into how these factors can affect the CCS of concrete have been rare. Therefore, to investigate the effect of creep and shrinkage on CCS, an experimental (part I) and a parametric study (part II) were conducted, as presented in these papers (part I considers creep effect, part II considers effect of creep and shrinkage). In part I, experiments pertaining to the loading age, loading rate, loading duration and loading and creep levels were conducted to study the effect of these variables on the CCS of concrete. It was found that the effects of the loading rate, loading age, and level and duration on the CCS of concrete were negligible. However, it is very important to consider the effect of creep.
The creep crack growth properties in 3.3NiCrMoV steel were investigated at 55$0^{\circ}C$ by using CT specimen under constant load and constant Ct condition that was held during crack growth of Imm distance. Ct lelied on load line displacement rate, C*usually increased with crack length though load is reduced in order to maintain constant Ct value as crack growth and appeared scatter band. At constant load and Ct region, crack growth slope was 0.900 and 0.844 each, on the other hand C* slope was 0.480. Fully coalesced area(FCA) ahead of crack tip increased as Ct increase to the critical value, and after that value FCA decreased. For the tertiary creep stage of crack growth test, the most of displacement was due to the steady state creep, except only small part due to the primary creep and other effects. Therefore, tests were mainly interrupted in the tertiary stage to obtain high value of Ct.
The objective of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the short-term creep rupture time and the creep rupture properties at three different elevated temperatures in STS304 stainless steel. Uniaxial constant stress creep rupture tests were performed on the steel to observe the creep rupture behaviors at the elevated temperatures of 600, 650 and 700, according to the testing matrix. It is very important to predict creep life in practical creep design problems. As one of the series of studies on the statistical modelling of probabilistic creep rupture time and the development of creep life prediction techniques, the relationship between applied stress and creep rupture behaviors, such as creep strain rate and rupture time, were investigated. In addition, the Monkman-Grant relationship was observed between the steady-state creep rate and the creep rupture time. The creep rupture surfaces observed by SEM showed up dimple phenomenon at all conditions.
This paper deals with the variability analysis of short term creep rupture test data based on the previous creep rupture tests and the possibility of the creep life prediction. From creep tests performed by constant uniaxial stresses at 600, 650 and $700^{\circ}C$ elevated temperature, in order to investigate the variability of short-term creep rupture data, the creep curves were analyzed for normalized creep strain divided by initial strain. There are some variability in the creep rupture data. And, the difference between general creep curves and normalized creep curves were obtained. The effects of the creep rupture time (RT) and steady state creep rate (SSCR) on the Weibull distribution parameters were investigated. There were good relation between normal Weibull parameters and normalized Weibull parameters. Finally, the predicted creep life were compared with the Monkman-Grant model.
