Microorganisms specifically groups of bacteria exhibiting physiological activities of production of acids are a major cause of concern because of their ability to induce corrosion in oil field pipelines and metal systems involved in water handling. Water Injection Stations as a means of secondary recovery from existing oil producing reservoirs, are often employed in most upstream oil and gas industries to ensure replenishment of voidage, maintenance of reservoir pressure and optimization of crude emulsion throughput. In the present study, scanning electron microscopy of macroscopic orange coloured slime formations sampled from leaking valves on the flow-lines of a Water Injection Stations of Oil India Limited revealed the presence of filamentous bacterial mats in association with diatoms. The species composition of the acidic slime formations from the sampled locations reveal the possible role of acid producing iron oxidizing bacteria (IOB) like Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans in association with Gomphonema sp. in creating conditions for bio-corrosion.

Today, It is difficult to search the various and numerous information efficiently. For this reason, Semantic Web emerged to provide searching services more easily through the structuring of a variety of unstructured format data and the definition of meaningful relationships between information. Especially, definition of relationship and meaning among resources is significant to share and infer related information. Ontology modeling plays just that role. Weapon parts development information is unstructured and dispersed all over. There are many difficulties in finding desired information, leading to getting improper outcomes. In this paper, we present an intuitive ontology model with weapon parts development information including the multi-dimensional information analysis and expansion of the relevant information. This study build up a ontology model through creating class and hierarchy about parts information and defining the properties of classes with Ontology Development 101[1] procedures using Protégé tools. The ontology model provides users with a platform on which search of needed information can be easy and efficient.

This study was conducted to report background, organism and activities of Greenspace Scotland, which was established for creation and management of green environment in urban Scotland, UK, and to help discussing an efficient structure for green environmental management in future Japan. As a result, it was confirmed that Greenspace Scotland plays a key role to develop and offer the framework - structure of partnership - for creating, regenerating and managing green environment from a large-scale point of view. Rich varieties of projects, which are difficult to manage by individual organization, have been brought to realization through circulating national funds and policies among local communities in partnership with existing charities and voluntary sector keeping their identity and independence. Greenspace Scotland also put stress on the aspects of social, cultural and economic regeneration in urban communities, and emphasizes a partnership development for above purposes.

Purpose: This study explores the effect of employee's growth needs strength on counterproductive work behaviors. Perceived job insecurity was also examined as a moderating variable on the relationship between the two variables. Research Design, data and methodology: This study collected 108 data samples from working individuals from South Korea. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and the hierarchical regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Hierarchical regression analysis was performed using SPSS 24.0. Results: Our research results indicated that employee's growth needs strength has a negative effect on counterproductive work behaviors. Perceived job insecurity moderates the relationship between the two variables. Conclusions: Organizations should focus on creating growth opportunities for employees, since facilitating employee's growth need strength will counteract the desire to engage in behaviors that can be detrimental to the organization. and its members.

Major global powers are investing heavily in artificial intelligence (AI) and hyper-connected networks, demonstrating their crucial role in future warfare. To advance and utilize AI in national defense, it is essential to have policy support at the governmental or national level. This includes establishing a research and development infrastructure, creating a common development environment, and fostering AI expertise through education and training programs. To achieve advancements in hyper-connected networks, it is essential to establish a foundation for a robust and resilient infrastructure by comprehensively building integrated satellite, aerial, and ground networks, along with developing 5G & edge computing and low-orbit satellite communication technologies. This multi-faceted approach will ensure the successful integration of AI and hyper-connected networks, strengthening national defense and positioning nations at the forefront of technological advancements in warfare.

Surface engineering plays a significant role in fabricating highly functionalized materials applicable to industrial and biomedical fields. Surface wrinkles and folds formed by ion beam or plasma treatment are buckling-induced patterns and controlled formation of those patterns has recently gained considerable attention as a way of creating well-defined surface topographies for a wide range of applications. Surface wrinkles and folds can be observed when a stiff thin layer attached to a compliant substrate undergoes compression and plasma treatment is one of the techniques that can form stiff thin layers on compliant polymeric substrates, such as poly (dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS). Here, we report two effective methods using plasma modification techniques for controlling the formation of surface wrinkles and folds on flat or patterned PDMS substrates. First, we show a method of creating wrinkled diamond-like carbon (DLC) film on grooved PDMS substrates. Grooved PDMS substrates fabricated by a molding method using a grooved master prepared by photolithography and a dry etching process were treated with argon plasma and subsequently coated with DLC film, which resulted in the formation of wrinkled DLC film aligning perpendicular to the steps of the pre-patterned ridges. The wavelength and the amplitude of the wrinkled DLC film exhibited variation in the submicron- to micron-scale range according to the duration of argon plasma pre-treatment. Second, we present a method for controlled formation of folds on flat PDMS substrates treated with oxygen plasma under large compressive strains. Flat PDMS substrates were strained uniaxially and then treated with oxygen plasma, resulting in the formation of surface wrinkles at smaller strain levels, which evolved into surface folds at larger strain levels. Our results demonstrate that we can control the formation and evolution of surface folds simply by controlling the pre-strain applied to the substrates and/or the duration of oxygen plasma treatment.

The purpose of this study is to explore the key elements of the regional innovative milieu by analyzing the role of regional innovative elements and case organizations that promoted the emergence of 'Songakdongnesaramdeul (the people of the Songak town),' and to present pertinent policy implications. For the purpose, this study set the "Songakdongnesaramdeul," a residential community organization founded for regional innovation to revitalize the village community, as a case organization from the perspective of regional innovation system theory. The result of the study showed that creating an innovative milieu through the creation of various innovation elements to revitalize the village community is crucial. Especially, this study confirmed that the existence of regional development organizations is the key element of the innovative milieu. such as case organization that contributes to regional development while promoting interaction between actors, common learning and systemization, and new value creation activities. The implications derived through the study can be summarized in four points. First, a variety of means to promote the formation of subjects in response to the public debate of the village agenda is needed. Second, it is highly important to create innovative elements, for example, organizations and programs, resources, and spaces that promote regional innovation. Third, forming a close network between various innovative resources existing in the region and establishing regional capabilities that allow to mobilize and utilize such innovative resources are important. Fourth, the establishment of a promotion mechanism such as a case organization is suggested as a major task, to revitalize the village community. Specifically, forming and revitalizing numerous private-based community organizations with regional developmental capabilities to establish local governance also has significant importance. In this vein, based on the point of view of the regional innovation system theory, the establishment of regional policies to construct a regional innovation milieu, such as creating innovative elements that can actively promote the regeneration of the village community and establishing a promotion system, can be presented as major tasks.

현재 대부분의 게임은 가상공간에서만 이루어지기 때문에 사용자의 실질적인 움직임이 없이 단순한 조작으로 수행되며, 이로 인해 사용자의 신체 및 정신에 다양한 부작용이 발생한다. 대체 현실 게임은 기존 온라인 게임과 달리 가상 공간과 현실 세계를 연계하여 기존 게임의 부작용을 완화할 수 있는 새로운 게임 장르이며, 게임 참여자간의 사회적 친밀감의 증가로 단순한 게임을 넘어서 새로운 사회적 유대를 형성하는 수단이 될 것으로 기대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 기기와 NFC 태그를 활용한 대체 현실 게임의 실제 구현을 보인다. 이를 위해 대체 현실 게임을 제작하기 위한 새로운 편집기와 이를 플레이하기 위한 모바일 기기 기반의 게임 실행기를 구현하였으며, 편집기를 통해 제작된 게임은 모바일 게임 실행기를 통하여 실행된다.

최근에 정부에서는 공공정보 공개와 민간협력을 통해 일자리 창출을 위한 노력을 기울이고 있으며, 이와 관련하여 국토교통부에서는 브이월드 사업을 추진하고 있다. 브이월드는 국가에서 보유하고 있는 공개 가능한 공간정보 및 행정정보를 민간에 공개하기 위한 공공 플랫폼이다. 하지만, 브이월드가 플랫폼, 민간협력, 일자리 창출의 창고로서의 역할을 수행하기에는 아직 부족한 편이다. 이에 국토교통부에서는 현재 브이월드를 고도화하는 사업을 추진하고 있으며, 중장기 추진 계획을 수립하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 요구사항을 충족시키고, 브이월드의 고도화 및 중장기 계획 수립을 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 기초자료로 활용하는데 필요한 사용자 만족도 조사 및 분석을 수행하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현재 브이월드에 대해 가입자 및 방문객을 대상으로 만족도 조사를 실시 및 분석하였으며, 이를 기반으로 브이월드 서비스 개선 방향, 오픈 API 활용을 위한 개선 방향, 향후 서비스 발전 방향을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 현재의 브이월드를 개선하고, 사용자의 활용도가 향상되는데 필요한 기초적인 자료로 활용될 것이다.
