The sand shrimp, Crangon hakodatei commonly occured in the southern coast of Korea. The population structure, growth, mortality, and size at sexual maturity of C. hakodatei were examined by the samples collected from the coastal area of Geoje Island, Korea from October 2000 to October 2001. For estimation of parameters of growth and mortality, monthly length-frequency data were analysed by ELEFAN. Parameters of growth were estimated, using the modified yon Bertalanffy growth function model. The female grew faster and reached larger size at the same age than the male, There was a breeding season showing a peak in winter (January to february). Total mortality by length-converted catch curve was estimated at $3.10 yr^{-1}$, fishing mortality was $0.62 y^{-1}$ and natural mortality was $2.48 yr^{-1}$. The size at $50\%$ sexual maturity for the female ranged from CL 11.00 to 11.50 mm.
Although shrimps belonging to family Crangonidae are known to be genetically divergent and ecologically important among the various benthos, any of their mitochondrial genome has not been reported yet. We here determined the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Crangon hakodatei (Rathbun, 1902), which was collected from East China Sea ($124^{\circ}E$ and $34.5^{\circ}N$). Total mitochondrial genome length of C. hakodatei was 16,060 bp, in which 13 proteins, 2 ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs and a putative control region were encoded. Secondary structure prediction analysis showed that twenty tRNA genes exhibit the conserved structure but two genes, $tRNA^{Cys}$ and $tRNA^{Ser}$ (AGN), lack T and D arm, respectively. Based on the sequence similarity of the COI region from the currently reported five species belonging to genus Crangonidae, C. hakodatei was most closely related to Crangon crangon. Phylogenetic analysis of full COXI genes belonging to infraorder Caridea showed that only crangonid shrimps were clustered together with those of Dendrobranchiata. Gene order were well conserved from Penaeoidea to Caridea but $tRNA^{Pro}$ and $tRNA^{Thr}$ in Palaemonid shrimp were flipped each other by the recombination. Further study about mitochondrial genome sequences of shrimps belonging to Crangonidae should be made to know better about their evolutional relationships with other those in infraorder Caridea.

The species composition and seasonal variation of fisheries resources in Jinhae bay and Jinju bay, were studied using shrimp beam trawl through a year of 2010. During the study period, a total of 117 species were collected in Jinhae bay. Species included were 63 species in Pisces and 24 in Crustacea. And a total of 106 species were collected in Jinju bay. Species included were 57 species in Pisces and 31 in Crustacea. The dominant species were Zoarces gilli, Crangon hakodatei and Oratosquilla oratoria in Jinhae bay, and Crangon hakodatei, Leiognathus nuchalis and Charybdis bimaculata in Jinju bay. The samples were mainly grouped according to the location and season on the SOM. Group 1 with sample sites in Jinju bay, was characterized by high values of Parapenaeopsis tenella, Leiognathus nuchalis and Hexagrammos otakii. Group 2 with sample sites in April, were dominant Crangon hakodatei and Luidia quinaria. The samples in Group 3 were high values of Charybdis bimaculata and Pleuronichthys cornutus. Group 4 with sample sites in Jinhae bay, was characterized by high densities of Zoarces gilli and Pholis fangi. The dominant species, Crangon hakodatei, were catched egg-bearing females until June. Zoarces gilli and Leiognathus nuchalis were presented small size individuals during study period. It represented that study area is an important role in spawning and nursery ground for fisheries resources.
We examined seasonal variation In the abundance and species composition of shrimp communities in Doam Bay and around Naro-do, Korea. Samples were collected monthly from March 2001 to February 2002 (Doam Bay) and from December 2000 to November 2001 (Naro-do) usinga beam trawl. A total of 19 shrimp species representing eight families were collected from Doam Bay. The dominant species were Exopalaemon carinicauda, Trachysalambria curvirostris, Parapenaeopsis tenella and Crangon hakodatei, which accounted for 92.6% of individuals and 92.8% of biomass. In the Naro-do area, a total of 18 shrimp species representing eight families were collected. The dominant species were C. hakodatei and P. tenella, which accounted for 78.6% of individuals. Exopalaemon carinicauda, T. curvirostris, P. tenella, C. hakodatei and Metapenaeus joyneri accounted for 89.6% of biomass. In each season, the pattern of species appearances differed in the two areas.

Demersal fishery resources were collected by an otter trawl in May, August and November 1996 at 9 stations off Youngkwang. And they were compared with the data obtained by a stow net, Of 73 species identified, assemblages were consisted of $63.0\%$ in fish, $14\%$ in shrimps, $14\%$ in crabs, $5\%$ in cephalopods and $3\%$ in gastropods. Johnius grypotus, Palaemon gravieri, Crangon hakodatei, Cynoglossus joyneri, Collichthys niveatus predominated in abundance, consisting of $64.4\%$ in the number of individuals. Catch by an otter trawl consisted mainly of demersal fishery resources, while catch by a stow net consisted mainly of pelagic fishery resources.
Species composition and seasonal change were examined monthly with shrimp assemblage caught in the coastal waters of Solido, Korea. Samplings were conducted in Solido using a beam trawl from June 2000 to May 2001. In the study period, a total of 16 species of shrimp belonging to six families were collected. Species was dominated by Palaemon gravieri, Crangon hakodatei, Trachysalambria curvirostris and Metapenaeus joyneri. Higher abundance of shrimp occurred in September and November, and lower abundance in June. Species diversity was reached its maximum (0.82) in November and its minimum (0.06) in January. Shrimp species in the study area can be grouped into three groups on the basis of their occurrence patterns: resident, seasonal and temporary species.
The seasonal and interannual variation in the species composition and abundance of the decapod assemblage (shrimps, crabs, and hermit crabs) collected using pots in the coastal waters off Gori were studied between 2005 and 2008. During the study period, 49 decapod species belonging to 19 families were collected. The dominant species were Crangon hakodatei, Pandalus gracilis, Carcinoplax longimana, Charybdis bimaculata, Carcinoplax vestita, Diogenes edwardsii, and Dardanus arrosor. These seven species accounted for 95.46% of the total number of individuals collected. The number of species, number of individuals, biomass, and species diversity indices fluctuated with the seasons. The peak number and biomass of individuals occurred in July 2006. The number and biomass of individuals were higher in summer and lower in winter, and the diversity indices were lower in summer than in the other seasons. The abundance of dominant species showed some seasonal and interannual change; in particular, those of C. hakodatei and P. gracilis corresponded with the bottom water temperature.
The diet composition of Tanaka's snailfish, Liparis tanakae were collected by bottom trawl net in the Yellow Sea of Korea during 2022 (April, August, October, and November). The size of the specimens ranged from 3.8 to 52.2 cm in total length. L. tanakae were primary consumed caridea shrimps (Crangon hakodatei, Eualus spathulirostris, etc.) and specialist feeder mainly consumed caridea shirmps (C. hakodatei). The L. tanakae's trophic level is 3.63. Caridea shrimps were the primary prey items for all size groups (<20 cm, 20~30 cm, 30~40 cm, ≥40 cm). The proportion of E. spathulirostris has increased as the body size of L. tanakae increased, whereas the proportion of C. hakodatei decreased gradually. As the body size of L. tanakae increased the mean weight of prey per stomach (mW/ST) tended to increase significantly (One-way ANOVA, P<0.05). The caridea shrimps were the primary prey items throught all seasons. In summer, the main prey items were the C. hakodatei, however, in autumn, the proportion of C. hakodatei decreased while the proportion of E. spathulirostris increased.

Seasonal species composition of fishery resources was determined using samples collected by a stow net from April 1995 through January 1996 at 9 stations off Youngkwang. Catch data obtained from a set net using strong tidal current could be used for a quantitative analysis of dominant species. Of the 98 species identified, assemblages were consisted of $52.0\%$ in fishes, $44.6\%$ in shrimps, $2.0\%$ in cephalopods, $1.4\%$ in crabs and <$0.1\%$ in gastropods. Thryssa kammalensis, Crangon hakodatei, Metapenaeus joynezi and Johnius grypotus predominated in abundance, consisting of $68\%$ in the number of individuals, The abundance and species composition fluctuated seasonally, and species could be distinguished by life history pattern with seasons. Seasonal variation in species composition was greater than the spatial variation in a sampling period, As the fine sediment was predominated in the study area, the species composition were significantly different from those of other coastal waters of West Sea, Korea.
