In this status no inspection standard of quality in repair of present concrete structure has a problem to repair for simple experience. In this paper for this problem improvement, it made an analysis of relation to injection quantity of crack width, injection time of crack width, injection pressure of crack width, injection pressure and time, injection quantity of structural size, injection quantity of structural individual crack position, injection time about crack width. and structural thickness. The data gained in analysis result be judged that it will help in systematic quality control about concrete structural repair.

Cracks, which account for the largest proportion of defect lawsuits in apartment buildings, are not clear on the criteria for defect determination, so judgments about defects are mixed. Interlayer cracks, which account for most of the crack defect judgment amount, tend to be judged as defects regardless of the crack width or condition, and repair methods are mostly set uniformly. This starts from the problem that the standards of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Construction Appraisal Practice, which the courts use as standards, do not match. It is necessary to establish a defect determination standard that can be applied to all stakeholders through the amendment of laws and the revision of the Court Appraisal Practice. In addition, it is necessary to apply the crack repair method according to the width and condition of the interlayer crack. If the defect determination and the application of the repair method for cracks are rationalized, it could serve as an opportunity to change the current trend of defect disputes that rely only on litigation.
An experimental investigation of the effect of composite patching repair was conducted to characterize the fatigue crack growth behavior in thick A16061-T6 (6mm) panels with single bonded patch by fiber reinforced composite patch. Four patch lengths and no patch plate were examined. An analytical procedure, involving three-dimensional finite element method having three layers to model cracked aluminum plate, epoxy by adhesive and composite patch, is calculated the stress intensity factors. From the calculated stress intensity factors, the fatigue crack growth rates are obtained. At the single patching type, different fatigue crack growth ratios through the plate thickness were investigated by using the experimental and analytical results. The results demonstrated that there was a definite variation in fatigue life depending on the size of composite patch. While crack reached the patch end, retardation of crack growth was also revealed in the bonded repair.

This study is to establish a standardization of injection system by inorganic material for crack repair of tunnel concrete structures. For this various surveys and experiments were carried out as followed. The first we surveyed capability of injection and crack pattern of concrete structures in site. and second we analyzed the relationship between crack width and volume of injection, and decided pressure and volume of injection. Finally we evaluated the relationship between crack width and volume of injection with kind of concrete structures, and between required time for injection and crack width with thickness of structure. From these surveys and experiments, we cleared the relationship between crack patterns and injection technologies such as volume, pressure of injection and required time for injection with kind of structure.

Due to the development of high-strength fibers and adhesives, it is now possible to repair cracked metallic plates by bonding reinforced patches to the plate over the crack. In this study, pre-cracked aluminum 6061-T6 alloy plates repaired with bonded carbon/epoxy composite patch are applied to investigate the effect of various patch shapes on the tensile strength and the fatigue behavior of the structure. A non-patch-boned cased and 2 type-50$\times$50, 40$\times$20 mm-composite patch-bonded cases were tested to obtain fracture loads and fatigue crack growth rate. The results showed that the patch-bonded repair improves the static strength by 17% and the fatigue life by 200% compared to non-repaired case. It means that patch-boned repair is more effective in the fatigue life. It was also revealed that the patching method along crack growth direction is more efficient in cost and weight reduction. By observing the fractography, patch-bonded repair specimens demonstrated zigzag fracture patterns compared with the non-patched specimens, which shows a typical ductile fracture.

The present study was aimed at analysing the damage of a used gas turbine bucket after 39,500h of total service. Microstructures and cracks of service-induced bucket were observed. The crack might have initiated from the coating in the bucket surface by thermal fatigue and propagated into the GTD111 base metal. Maximum depth of penetration was 2.7 mm(full penetration) at the leading edge. Crack contains a lot of Cr-,Ti-,Al-oxide which will prohibit filling and wetting of insert metal. Depth and propagation direction of crack were accorded with centrifugal force and temperature distribution in turbine bucket. Present result will provide basic data for repair bonding process.

This study explores the effects of repair width on the deposition characteristics and mechanical properties of stainless steel samples repaired using direct energy deposition (DED). In the DED repair process, defects such as pores and cracks can occur at the interface between the substrate and deposited material. In this study, we changed the width of the pre-machined zone for repair in order to prevent cracks from occurring at the inclined surface. As a result of the experiment, cracks of 10-40 ㎛ in length were formed along the inclined slope regardless of the repair width. Yield and tensile strength decreased slightly as the repair width increased, but the total and uniform elongation increased. This is due to the orientation of the crack. For specimens with a repair width of 20 mm, yield and tensile strength were 883 MPa and 1135 MPa, respectively. Total and uniform elongations were 14.3% and 8.2%, respectively. During observation of the fracture specimens, we noted that the fracture of the specimen with an 8 mm repair width occurred along the slope, whereas specimens with 14 mm and 20 mm repair depths fractured at the middle of the repaired region. In conclusion, we found that tensile properties were dependent upon the repair width and the inclination of the crack occurred at the interface.

This study is performed to evaluate an the crack properties and repair-reinforcement of concrete introduced crack. Materials used are portland cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, unsaturated polyester resin and fly ash. Specimen is used beam of 76${\times}$76${\times}$412mm for measurement of pulse velocity, dynamic modulus of elasticity and bending strength and is introduced crack artificially. The following conclusions are drawn; Pulse velocity, dynamic modulus of elasticity and bending strength of concrete introduced crack is shown the lower 1.24∼11.91%, 3.42∼17.21% and 38.17∼61.0% than that of the control concrete, respectively. Pulse velocity, dynamic modulus of elasticity and bending strength of concrete repaired and reinforced crack is shown the higher 0.5∼2.60%, 1.57∼3.07% and 28.17∼47.25% than that of the concrete introduced crack and the lower than that of the control concrete, respectively.

The aim of this study was to produce polymer cement composites (PCCs) composed of polymer dispersion and cement as crack repair materials for RC structures, and to investigate their fundamental properties. The test mixtures for the study were based on EVA and SAE polymer dispersions, and the water-cement ratio was determined while varying the polymer-cement ratio(P/C) in four different levels (20%, 60%, 80%, and 100%) to achieve the desired viscosity of PCCs considering their fillability as crack repair materials. Additionally, silica fume was incorporated into P/C 80% and 100% specimens to enhance their stiffness. The basic properties of PCCs as crack repair materials, such as viscosity, flowability, fillability, tensile strength, elongation, and modulus of elasticity, were examined. The results showed that P/C depending on the type of polymer significantly affected the viscosity and flowability, and appropriate w/c ratios were needed to achieve the desired viscosity for the mixture design with consideration of fillability as crack repair materials for RC structures. All designed mixtures in this study exhibited excellent fillability. The tensile strength and elongation of PCCs satisfied the KS regulation for cement- polymer modified waterproofing coatings. The incorporation of silica fume improved the tensile strength and modulus of elasticity of PCCs. Depending on the type of polymer, mixtures using SAE showed better fundamental properties as crack repair materials for RC structures compared to those using EVA. In conclusion, SAE-based P/C 80% or 100% with the addition of up to 30% silica fume can be recommended as suitable mixtures for crack repair of RC structures.
