  • 터빈로터는 발전설비 중에서 가장 핵심 부분이며 동시에 심한 고온 응력을 받는 부분이다. 터빈로터 재료로는 Ni-Cr-Mo-V강과 CrMoV 강등이 사용된다. CrMoV 강은 발전 설비로 장시간 사용 중 열적피로나 크립손상, 고온 부식 등의 문제가 단독 혹은 복합적으로 발생하여 재료에 손상을 입히게 되고 결국에는 설비의 수명을 단축 시키곤 한다. (중략)

  • Charpy V-Notch test is commonly used to evaluate fracture toughness. However, since the region to be evaluated is limited to bulk material due to the specimen size required, individual evaluation of micro-structures on weldment is very difficult. In this study, ASP(Advanced Small Punch) test was carried out to evaluate material degradation and fracture toughness on the B.M, W.M and each micro-structures of HAZ for X20CrMoV121 and 2.25Cr1Mo steels with artificial aging time. In addition, to evaluate fracture toughness and material degradation of B.M and W.M of X20CrMoV121 steels with aging times, CVN (Charpy V-notch) test was performed. And then the correlation between ASP and CVN test on X20CrMoV121 steels was obtained. Furthermore, through this correlation, material degradation property of each micro-region of the HAZ in weldment, which was impossible to be evaluated by the CVN test, can be estimated and determined.

  • 수소크롬산이온에 의한 $[Mo_2O_4(C_2O_4)_2(OH_2)_2]^{2-}$의 산화는 $[Mo_2O_5(C_2O_4)_2(OH_2)_2]^{2-}$를 생성한다. 수소크롬산이온과 $[Mo_2O_4(C_2O_4)_2(OH_2)_2]^{2-}$의 반응에 대한 화학양론은 ${3Mo_2}^V+2Cr^{VI}\;{\rightleftharpoons}\;{3Mo_2}_{VI}+2Cr^{III}$와 같다. 관찰된 속도상수는 $[H+]^2$에 의존한다. $Cr^{VI}$Cr^V$$Cr^{IV}$를 거쳐서 $Cr^{III}$로 일전자씩 연속적으로 변화한다. 이들 반응에 대한 상세한 메카니즘이 제시되며 이에 대해서 논의된다.

  • 10%C-5%Mo-5%W-10%Cr 및 10%C-5%Mo-5%W-10%V 백주철의 응고거동을 열분석을 통하여 연구하였다. 15Kg 용량의 고주파 유도옹해로에 선철, 고철, Fe-Mo, Fe-W, Fe-Cr, Fe-V 등을 장입시켜 용해시킨 후 슬래그를 제거시키고 $1550^{\circ}C$에서 Y블럭의 펩 주형에 주입하였다. 응고거동을 조사하기 위하여 50g을 Y블럭에서 채취한 뒤 알루미나 도가니에 넣어 재용해시킨 후 1$0^{\circ}C$/min의 냉각속도로 냉각시키면서 여섯 종류의 다른 온도에서 도중에 급냉시켜 응고조직을 광학현미경으로 관찰하였다. 10%C-5%Mo-5%W-10%Cr 백주철의 경우 초정 오스테나이트, 오스테나이트와 M(sub)7C(sob)3의 공정, 오스테나이트와 M(sub)6C의 공정으로, 10%C-5%Mo-5%W-10%V 백주철의 경우 초정 MC, 오스테나이트와 MC의 공정, 오스테나이트와 M(sub)2C의 공정으로 각각 순차적으로 정출하였다. 정출하였다.

  • To investigate transition region in welded overlay relating to disbonding crack, the effect of vanadium addition on disbonding of Cr-Mo steels overlay welded with austenitic stainless steel was studied. V modified Cr-Mo steels have a higher resistance to disbonding than V free Cr-Mo steel. One reason is due to the fact that fine vanadium carbide precipated in base metal traps hydrogen and thus decreases the susceptibility to the disbonding. The second is related to the higher stability of the vanadium and stable carbides formed during PWHT, in which the carbon diffusion to the interface is lower than for V free Cr-Mo steel. Decreasing the carbon content at the interface of the weld overlay shows good resistance to the disbonding. Hence, it is important to control the carbon content at the interface of the weld overlay.

12% Cr 로터강의 강도 개선에 관한 연구 (Study on the Improvement of Strength for 12% Chromium Steel Rotor)

  • To check technical improvement in the soundness and strength of 12% Cr steel rotor, a 25 tons of rotor with 65 tons of ingot was made in real size and was cut to pieces to take test samples, and the various mechanical tests such as impact, tensile, creep, and fatigue were carried out. The strengths are compared with those of 1% Cr-Mo-V rotor of same size. Microstructures of the samples are examined and reviewed. The results can be summarized as follows. 1) Fracture appearance transition temperatures are 80.deg. C at the center part and 60.deg. C near surface of 12% Cr rotor, and 8.deg. C near surface of 1% Cr-Mo-V rotor. 2) Comparative rapid softening occurs at higher temperatures above 600.deg. C for 12% Cr steel and 550.deg. C for 1% Cr-Mo-V steel in tension tests. 3) Fatigue crack propagation rate of 12% Cr steel is almost same as that of 1% Cr-Mo-V steel at the same corresponding surface part of the rotors. The crack growth rate of center part of 12% Cr rotor is faster than near surface part of the rotor, and the crack growth rate at the load condition of R=0.04 is slower than that of the load condition of R=0.5 for both 12% Cr steel and 1% Cr-Mo-V steel. 4) Crack growth rate of radial direction near surface of 12% Cr rotor is faster than that of transverse direction at the same part because of the difference in residual stresses. 5) Both creep and fatigue strengths of 12% Cr steel are superior to those of 1% Cr-Mo-V steel and the difference is thought the effect of climb and glide controlled creep by solid solution of alloying elements and dispersion of carbides.

SH(shear horizontal) 초음파를 이용한 압력용기용 재료의 피로손상 예측 (The Prediction of Fatigue Damage for Pressure Vessel Materials using Shear Horizontal Ultrasonic Wave)

  • Ultrasonic method using SH(shear horizontal) wave has been developed to determine the surface damage in fatigued material. Fatigue damages based on propagation energy were analyzed by multi-regression analysis in interrupted fatigue test specimen including CrMoV and 12Cr alloy steel. From the test results, as the fatigue damage increased the propagation time of the launched waves increased and amplitude of wavelet decreased. Also, analysis for the waveform modulation showed a reliable estimation, with confidence limit of 97% for 12Cr steel and 95% for CrMoV steel, respectively. Therefore, It is thought that SH ultrasonic wave technique can be applied to determine fatigue damage of in-service component nondestructively.

열화된 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V강의 DBTT 크기효과 보정에 관한 연구 (Normalization of DBTT Size Effect far Aged 1Cr-lMo-0.25V Steel)

  • Miniaturized specimen technology is useful to characterize the mechanical behavior when it is difficult to sample the material enough for the test. In this study, two kinds of miniaturized Charpy impact specimens(i.e., miniaturized specimen with side groove and without side groove) of aged 1Cr- lMo-0.25V steel were prepared and tested. The relationship between the extent of degradation in terms of ductile brittle transition temperature(DBTT) and the fracture stress of 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel was established. The fracture stress obtained from miniaturized specimen without side groove turned out to be linearly related with the DBTT of standard specimen. Therefore the fracture toughness of aged turbine rotor steel might be evaluated by the fracture stress. In addition, the correlation between DBTT of standard specimen and that of miniaturized specimen was investigated. As the results of normalizing DBTT by maximum elastic tensile stress, the normalized DBTT of miniaturized specimen without side groove allows one to estimate that of standard specimen.

  • Spherical indentation technique was developed to evaluate the flow properties of metallic materials in carbon steel, stainless steel and alloys, etc. Through the spherical indentation test, differently degraded 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel's mechanical properties were observed and compared with conventional standard test data. The flow properties of 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steels were estimated by analyzing the indentation load-depth curve. To characterize the flow property, we used material yield slope and constraint factor index rather than strain-hardening exponent because the variation of strain-hardening exponent was very little and the data showed irregularly. And the constraint factor's effect was small when the material yield slope was taken into account.
