ONE REMARK FOR CR EQUIVALENCE PROBLEM

  • Assume that two boundaries of worm domains, which are parpametrizd by harmonic functions, are CR equivalent. Then we determine the Taylor expansion of CR equivalence mapping and get a relation of harmonic functions.

  • The effect of chemical composition on mechanical properry and corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel was investigated. The main results obtained were as follows : 1. There was a linear relationship between the tensile strength of stainless steel and the $Cr_{eq}/Ni_{eq}$. The larger the $Cr_{eq}/Ni_{eq}$ was the higher the tensile strength of stainless steel. 2. There was a good correlationship between $Cr_{eq}/Ni_{eq}$ and intergranular, gerneral corrsion rate. 3. Intergranular corrosion rate decreased linearly with increasing Cr content. 4. General corrosion rate decreased linearly with increasing Ni content. 5. Logarithm corrosion rate of intergranular and general corrosion has a linear relationship with all of the factor of $Cr_{eq}/Ni_{eq}$, Cr and Ni content.

  • Let (M,p) be a germ of a $C^{\infty}$ CR manifold of CR dimension n and CR codimension d. Suppose (M,p) admits a $C^{\infty}$ contraction at p. In this paper, we show that (M,p) is CR equivalent to a generic submanifold in $\mathbb{C}^{n+d}$ defined by a vector valued weighted homogeneous polynomial.

9-12% Cr강의 용접부에 미치는 δ-ferrite의 영향 (The Effects of δ-ferrite on Weldment of 9-12% Cr Steels)

  • As the energy consumption increases rapidly, power generation needs the high energy efficiency continuously. To achieve the high efficiency of power generation, the materials used have to endure the higher temperature and pressure. The 9-12%Cr steels possess good mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and creep strength in high temperature due to high Cr contents. Therefore, the 9-12%Cr steels are widely used for the high-temperature components in power plants. Even though the steels usually have a fully martensitic microstructure, they are susceptible to the formation of ${\delta}$-ferrite specifically during the welding process. The formation of ${\delta}$-ferrite has several detrimental effects on creep, ductility and toughness. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid its formation. As the volume fraction of ${\delta}$-ferrite is less than 2% in microstructure, it has the isolated island morphology and causes no significant degradation on mechanical properties. For ${\delta}$-ferrite above 2%, it has a polygonal shape affecting the detrimental influence on the mechanical properties. The formation of ${\delta}$-ferrite is affected by two factors: a chemical composition and a welding heat input. The most effective ways to get a fully martensite microstructure are to reduce the chromium equivalent less than 13.5, to keep the difference between the chromium and nickel equivalent less than 8, and to reduce the welding heat input.

400 MeV/u 탄소 이온에 대한 방사선치료 선량 측정용 고체비적검출기의 교정 (Calibration of CR-39 for Hadron Radiotherapy using 400 MeV/u C ions)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소이온을 이용한 고LET 방사선 치료시 CR-39 고체비적검출기(SSNTD)를 선량계로 사용하기 위하여 일본 중입자가속기연구소(HIMAC)의 400 MeV/u 탄소 이온을 이용한 교정실험을 수행하였다. 탄소 이온을 조사한 CR-39 검출기는 일본 우주항공연구개발기구(JAXA)의 고체비적검출기 전처리 프로토콜에 따라 화학적 에칭을 하였고, 에칭된 CR-39 검출기의 표면에 형성된 트랙은 디지털 카메라로 촬영한 후 Image J를 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 400 MeV/u 탄소 이온의 ${\bar{y_F}}$${\bar{y_D}}$는 각각 $8.5keV/{\mu}m$$10.1keV/{\mu}m$이었으며, 이 결과는 한국천문연구원의 조직등가비례계수기(TEPC)로 측정한 값 및 GEANT4 몬테칼로 시뮬레이션으로 계산한 값과 잘 일치하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 CR-39의 선량 및 LET 교정인자를 결정할 수 있었으며, 고LET 방사선 치료시 CR-39를 이용한 선량평가의 가능성을 확인하였다.

한국인의 라돈-222 자핵종 호흡 실효선량당량 평가 (Effective Dose Equivalent due to Inhalation of Indoor Radon-222 Daughters in Korea)

  • 국내 12개 지역의 340여 실내에서 측정한 라돈농도로부터 단순한 수학적 폐선량 평가모형을 이용하여 주민의 실효선량당량을 평가하였다. 수동적 시간적분형 CR-39 라돈컵으로 1990년 4월부터 10월까지 $3{\sim}4$개월 동안 측정 한 실내의 라돈농도는 지역별로 $33.82{\sim}61.42 Bq/m^3$(평균 : $48.90 Bq/m^3$)의 분포를 보였으며, 이로 인한 라돈자핵종의 평형등가라 돈농도$(EEC_{Rn})$는 라돈과 자핵종간의 평형인자의 값 0.4를 적용했을 때 $13.53{\sim}24.57Bq/m^3$(평균 : $19.55 Bq/m^3$)으로 예상되었다. 국제방사선방어위원회의 폐모형에 근거한 본 연구의 폐선량 평가모형에서 유도된 단위 평형등가라돈농도의 피폭당 실효선량당량환산 인자는 $1.07{\times}10^{-5}\;mSv/Bq\;h\;m^{-3}$으로 국제방사선방어위원회나 국제연합 방사선영향평가 과학위원회(UNSCEAR)에서 권고한 값과 잘 일치하였다. 동 선량환산인자와 CR-39 라돈 컵으로 측정 한 실내 의 평균 평형등가라돈농도를 년간 $0.75 m^3/h$의 호흡율로 호흡한 것으로 가정했을 때, 주민이 받는 년평균 폐선량당량 및 실효선량당량은 갹각 20.90 mSv 및 1.25 mSv인 것으로 평가되었다. 동 피폭선량은 국제연합(UNSCEAR)에서 1988년에 발표한 일반인의 년평균 자연방사선피폭 실효선량당량인 2.40mSv의 거의 50%에 상당하였다.

22Cr 린 듀플렉스 스테인리스강의 공식저항성에 미치는 Mn과 Ni 첨가의 영향 (Effect of Alloying Elements of Mn and Ni on the Pitting Corrosion Resistance of 22Cr Lean Duplex Stainless Steel)

  • Duplex stainless steels have the dual microstructure of austenite and ferrite phases. This steel exhibits generally a high corrosion resistance and higher mechanical strength compared with austenitic stainless steels. The steels used in the investigation have the chemical composition of Fe-22Cr-xNi-yMn-0.2N in which the contents of Ni and Mn were varied with maintaining the equal [Ni/Cr] equivalent. The fraction of ferrite phase was increased with the increase of annealing temperature. The impact factor of Mn element on the [Ni] equivalent was amended on the basis of the results of the investigation. 4Mn-2Ni alloy showed the highest pitting corrosion resistance. The fraction ratio, grain size and misorientation angle between grains were measured, and the correlation with pitting potential was investigated.

고체비적검출기를 이용한 500 MeV/u 철 이온의 선에너지전이 교정 (LET Calibration of Fe 500 MeV/u Ions using SSNTD)

  • In this study, LET (Linear Energy Transfer) calibration of CR-39 SSNTD (Solid State Nuclear Track Detector) was performed using 500 MeV/u Fe heavy ions in HIMAC (Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator) for high LET radiation dosimetry. The irradiated CR-39 SSNDT were etched according JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) etching conditions. And the etched SSNTD were analyzed by using Image J. Determined dose-mean lineal energy ($\overline{y_D}$) of 500 MeV/u Fe is about 283.3 keV/um by using the CR-39 SSNTD. This value is very similar result compare to the results calculated by GEANT4 Monte Carlo simulation and measured with TEPC active radiation detector. We confirmed that the CR-39 SSNTD was useful for high LET radiation dosimetry such as heavy iron ions.

Effect of Thermal History on Pitting Corrosion of High Nitrogen and Low Molybdenum Stainless Steels

  • Chromium, molybdenum. and nitrogen are very important alloying elements in stainless steels and its effect was approved in pitting resistance equivalent (PRE) equations and many experimental results. However, Cr can improve the corrosion resistance, but facilitate the formation of sigma phase. Also. Mo has the same effect in stainless steels. If Cr and Mo are added at high amount to increase the corrosion resistance of stainless steel, corrosion resistance in annealed alloys can be improved, but in case of welding or aging heat treatment. its resistance will be drastically decreased. In this work, increasing Cr and N contents but decreasing Mo than the commercial alloys made the experimental alloys. Typical alloys are 25Cr-4.5Mo-0.43N alloy, 27Cr-4.7Mo-0.4N alloy, 27Cr-5.3Mo-0.25N alloy, 32Cr-2.6Mo-0.36N alloy. After annealing and aging heat treatment, microstructures, anodic polarization test, and pitting corrosion test were performed. Annealed alloys showed $100^{\circ}C$ of CPT and aged alloys showed the different tendency depending upon Cr and Mo contents(SFI)

12% 크롬 로터강의 피로수명 예측 모델에 관한 연구 (Fatigue Life Prediction Model of 12% Cr Rotor Steel)

  • By examining the fatigue deformation properties of 12% Cr rotor steel which has been proved to have high fatigue and creep rupture strength around 600deg. C, authors reviewed major fatigue life prediction models such as Manson, Langer and Morrow equations, and following results were obtained. (1) A simple life prediction model for 12% Cr rotor steel was obtained as follows : DELTA..epsilon.$_{t}$ =2.18+.sigma.$_{u}$ /E+ $N^{-0.065}$+ $e^{0.6}$ $N^{-0.025}$ This equation shows that fatigue life, N, can be easily determined when total strain range, DELTA..epsilon.$_{t}$ and ultimate tensile strength, .sigma.$_{u}$ are known by simple tension test on the given test conditions. (2) Life prediction equation with equivalent maximum stress, DELTA..sigma./2, corresponding maximum strain in one cycle at room temperature is as follows: DELTA..sigma./w=-7.01logN+96.69+96.69
