폐산화철촉매에 의한 도금폐수중 크롬이온 회수에 관한 기초연구 (A study on the recovery of chromium from metal-plating wastewater with spent catalyst)

  • 석유화학공정으로부터 폐기되는 폐산화철촉매를 이용하여 도금합성폐수중 크롬회수에 관한 연구를 회분식과 연속식으로 실시하였다. 도금합성제수 중 $CrO _{4}^{-2}$ 형태의 음이온으로 존재하는 6가 크롬은 폐산화철촉매의 등전점(pH 3.0)이하에서 폐촉매와 물리적 흡착을 한다. 한편, 6가 크롬은 pH 3.0 이상에서도 폐촉매의 수산화철과 산화환원반응에 의해 일부 환원되어 $Cr(OH)_3$로 침전한다. 컬럼을 이용한 크롬 연속회수실험에서 크롬합성폐수의 pH가 0.5∼2.0일 때 폐촉매의 크롬흡착량은 2.0∼2.3g/L이며, pH가 3.0에서는 1.5g/L이었다. 폐수 중 크롬농도가 50∼500mg/L로 높아질수록 폐촉매에 흡착한 크롬누적량은 1.29∼8.56g/L로 증가하지만, 유속이 30∼80 ml/mm으로 증가하여도 크롬 흡착누적량은 2.21∼2.49 mg/L로 거의 유사하였다.

비대칭 스퍼터링에 의한 TiAIN/CrN 나노 다층 박막의 합성 및 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Development of TiAIN/CrN Multi-layered Thin Films by Unbalanced Magnetron Sputtering Process)

  • In this work a multi-layered nanostructured TiAIN/CrN superlattice coatings was synthesized using closed-field unbalanced magnetron sputtering method and the relationships between their superlattice period (1), micro-structure, hardness and elastic modulus were investigated. In addition, wear test at $500^{\circ}C$ and oxidation resistance test at $900^{\circ}C$ were performed to investigate high temperature properties of these thin films. The coatings were characterized in terms of microstructure and mechanical properties by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and nano-indentation test. Results from TEM analysis showed that superlattice periods was inversely proportional to the jig rotation speed. The maximum hardness and elastic modulus of 37 GPa and 375 GPa were observed at superalttice period of 6.1 nm and 4.4 nm, respectively. An higher value of microhardness from TiAIN/CrN thin films than either TiAIN (30 GPa) or CrN (26 GPa) was noted while the elastic modulus was approximately an average of TiAIN and CrN films. These enhancement effects in superlattice films could be attributed to the resistance to dislocation glide across interface between the CrN and TiAIN layers. Much improved plastic deformation resistance ($H^3/E^2$) of 0.36 from TiAIN/CrN coatings was observed, compared with 0.15 and 0.16 from TiAIN and CrN, respectively. Also the wear resistance at $500^{\circ}C$ was largely increased than those of single TiAIN and CrN coatings and TiAIN/CrN coatings showed much reduced weight gain after exposure at $900^{\circ}C$ for 20 hours.

  • Crystal Structure and Magnetic Properties of $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$)가 1273K에서 $La_S_3$ , Cr, S의 혼합물의 반응으로부터 합성되었다. $(LaS)_xCrS_2( x\approx 1.20$)의 XRD회절 pattern은 monoclinic의 LaS-부격자, triclinic의 $CrS_{2}$-부격자와 그들의 초격자로서 해석되었다. 부격자의 온도의존성을 저온에서 X-선 회절분석으로 조사하였다. 77K~실온의 온도역에서 $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$)의 자기자화율을 Faraday balance법으로 측정하였다. $(LaS)_xCrS_2(x \approx 1.20$)은 실온 $\sigma$ -H plot에서 paramagnetic한 거동을 나타내었다. 관측된 유효자기 moment($\mu_{eff}$)는 $Cr^{3+}$을 spin-only에 의한 것과 $La^{3+}$을 spin-only와 orbital에 의한 것으로 계산할 경우 잘 일치되었다.

전자빔과 무반사층이 없는 크롬 마스크를 이용한 나노그레이팅 사출성형용 고종횡비 100nm 급 니켈 스템퍼의 제작 (Fabrication of High Aspect Ratio 100nm-scale Nickel Stamper Using E-beam Lithography for the Injection molding of Nano Grating Patterns)

  • We present high aspect ratio 100nm-scale nickel stamper using e-beam lithography process and Cr/Qz mask for the injection molding process of nano grating patterns. Conventional photolithography blank mask (CrON/Cr/Qz) consists of quartz substrate, Cr layer of UV protection and CrON of anti-reflection layer. We have used Cr/Qz blank mask without anti-reflection layer of CrON which is non-conductive material and ebeam lithography process in order to simplify the nickel electroplating process. In nickel electroplating process, we have used Cr layer of UV protection as seed layer of nickel electroplating. Fabrication conditions of photolithography mask using e-beam lithography are optimized with respect to CrON/Cr/Qz blank mask. In this paper, we have optimized e-beam lithography process using Cr/Qz blank mask and fabricated nickel stamper using Cr seed layer. CrON/Cr/Qz blank mask and Cr/Qz blank mask require optimal e-beam dosage of $10.0{\mu}C/cm^2$ and $8.5{\mu}C/cm^2$, respectively. Finally, we have fabricated $116nm{\pm}6nm-width$ and $240nm{\pm}20nm-height$ nickel grating stamper for the injection molding pattern.

미생물의 크롬내성과 크롬환원의 상호 비교 (A Comparison between Bacterial Cr(VI) Resistance and Cr(VI) Reduction among Environmental Isolates)

  • 미생물에 의한 6가이온 크롬의 3가이온으로의 환원은 세균에게 크롬내성을 제공할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 가설을 확인하기 위하여 크롬오염 토양과 오염되지 않은 토양으로부터 형태적으로 다른 20종의 세균을 순수분리하고 각각의 균주에서 크롬내성과 크롬환원능을 상호 비교하였다. 전자의 공여체로 glucose를 사용했을 때 세포현탁액에 의한 크롬의 환원은 시간당 0.014-0.305mM Cr(VI)의 범위로 관찰되었으며, 액체배지에서 2mM의 크롬에 대한 내성은 크롬을 첨가하지 않은 배지에서 배양한 경우와 혼탁도를 비교한 결과 전혀 저해를 받지 않는 경우부터 93.4%의 성장저해를 받는 경우까지 다양하게 관찰되었다. 이러한 결과로부터 상관관계를 분석한 결과 크롬내성과 크롬환원은 전혀 상관이 없는 것으로 계산되었다. 한편 군집수준에서의 크롬내성비교는 크롬오염 토양과 오염되지 않은 토양에서 각각 19.1%와 0.4%로 나타나 크롬의 존재는 내성균주의 선택적 성장을 유도하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 그러나 이때 획득된 크롬에 대한 내성은 크롬의 환원에 의해서 제공되는 것이 아님을 상관관계 분석으로부터 알 수 있었다.

SiTe에 Cr을 치환한 화합물의 자기적 성질 (Magnetic Properties of Cr Substituted SiTe Compounds)

  • 암염구조를 가진 SiTe에서 일부 Si를 Cr로 치환한 화합물에 대한 전자구조와 자성을 교환상관퍼텔셜에 일반기울기 근사를 쓴 full potential linearized augmented plane wave 에너지 띠 계산방법을 이용하여 연구하였다. Si 대신 25 %의 Cr을 치환한 $CrSi_3Te_4$ 및 50 %를 치환한 $CrSiTe_2$를 고려하였다. 총에너지 계산으로 $CrSi_3Te_4$는 11.64 a.u, $CrSiTe_2$는 a = 7.89 a.u., c = 11.13 a.u.의 평형격자상수를 가짐을 알았다. $CrSiTe_2$는 단위부피당 정수인 $4{\mu}_B$의 자기모멘트를 가지는 반쪽금속성을 나타냈으며, $CrSi_3Te_4$는 단위부피당 자기모멘트가 $4{\mu}_B$보다 미세하게 컸다. 두 화합물 모두에서 치환되어 들어간 Cr은 $3.6{\mu}_B$ 정도의 자기모멘트를 가졌으며, Si나 Te는 약하게 자기화되었다. 계산된 스핀분극 상태밀도를 이용하여 이 두 화합물의 자성을 논의하였다.

INT-Dehydrogenase 시험법에서 슬러지 일령이 Cr6+, Zn2+ 및 Cd2+ 독성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Sludge Age on the Toxicity of Cr6+, Zn2+, and Cd2+ in INT-Dehydrogenase Assay)

  • This study was initiated to elucidate the relation between the toxicity of $Cr^{6+}$, $Zn^{2+}$, and $Cd^{2+}$ and sludge age (Solids retention time, SRT). The effect of SRT on the toxicity of $Cr^{6+}$, $Zn^{2+}$, and $Cd^{2+}$ in activated sludge system was investigated with INT-dehydrogenase assay. Experimental results showed that the inhibitory effects of $Cr^{6+}$, $Zn^{2+}$, and $Cd^{2+}$ were reduced as the sludge age increased from SRT 5 d to SRT 25 d. It is noteworthy that the experimental results enabled to determine the relative toxicity of the tested metals depending on the sludge age. At the SRT of 5 and 9 days, the order of toxicity of the three metals to the activated sludge was $Cr^{6+}$ > $Zn^{2+}$ > $Cd^{2+}$ (the $IC_{50}$ value of $Cr^{6+}$, $Zn^{2+}$, and $Cd^{2+}$ was 16.15, 25.90, and 32.49 mg/L, respectively) and $Zn^{2+}$ > $Cr^{6+}$ > $Cd^{2+}$ (the $IC_{50}$ value of $Cr^{6+}$, $Zn^{2+}$, and $Cd^{2+}$ was 39.12, 27.93, and 42.31 mg/L, respectively), respectively. However, the toxicity of three metals was almost same at the SRT of 14 and 25 days (the range of $IC_{50}$ in SRT 14 and 25 days was from 49.80 mg/ L to 53.44 mg/L among three heavy metals). This results would be explained by that the quantity of biopolymer formed in short SRT was small, whereas that in long SRT was large. Consequently, it is recommended that sludge age be maintained at long SRT in order to avoid the toxicity inhibition of heavy metals such as $Cr^{6+}$, $Zn^{2+}$, and $Cd^{2+}$.

  • Alloys of $Fe_3$Al, $Fe_3$Al-6Cr, $Fe_3$Al-4Cr-1Mo, $Ni_3$Al, and $Ni_3$Al-2.8Cr were oxidized at $1000^{\circ}C$ in air, and the oxide scales formed were studied using XRD. SEM, EPMA, and TEM. The oxide scales that formed on $Fe_3$Al-based alloys consisted primarily of $\alpha$-$Al_2$$O_3$ containing a small amount of dissolved Fe and Cr ions, whereas those that formed on $Ni_3$Al-based alloys consisted primarily of $\alpha$-$Al_2$$O_3$, together with a small amount of $NiAl_2$$O_4$, NiO and dissolved Cr ions. For the entire alloys tested, nonadherent oxide scales formed, and voids were inevitably existed at the scale-matrix interface.

Acetaldehyde폐수의 활성오이법에 의한 기질제거조건 (Substrate Removal Condition in Activated Sludge Process of Wastewater from Acetaldehyde Manufacturing Plant)

  • This study is conducted to investigate treatability by activated sludge process for wastewater from acetaldehyde manufacturing plant. The optimum hydraulic retention time in aeration tank for removal of high strength substrate were measured. The removal efficiency were checked out by hydraulic retention time : 35hr., 40hr. and 45hr., respectively. $COD_{Cr}$, like substances were removed in all hydraulic retention time zone directed for efficiency, but non-biodegradable substances were remained. $COD_{Cr}$ biomass loading was 0.81kg $COD_{Cr}/kgMLVSS$ . day at 35hr. of retention time, 0.34 kg$COD_{Cr}$/kg MLVSS . day at 40hr., and O.l9kg$COD_Cr$/kgMLVSS . day at 45hr. And the mean $COD_{Cr}$, removal efficiency was 65.5%, 81.6% and 83.0%, respectively. And also $COD_{Cr}$, volume loading was 1.01kg$COD_{Cr}/m^3$ day, 0.87kg$COD_{Cr}/m^3$ - day, and 0.79kg$COD_{Cr}/m^3{\cdot }$day, respectively. The basic design parameter obtained is as fallows. The value of Specific substrate removal rate coefficient (k), Yield coefficient(Y) and Decay coefficient($k_d$) was $0.0013day^{-1}$, $0.505kgMLVSS/kgCOD_{Cr}$ and $0.040day^{-1}$, respectively.

연소합성법에 의한 Plasma-arc Deposit 용 $Cr_3C_2$ 합성 및 특성에 관한 연구 (Synthesis and Characterization of $Cr_3C_2$ for Plasma-arc Deposit by Combustion Synthesis Process)

  • Using Cr2O3 Al and graphite powders as starting materials Cr3C2 was synthesized by combustion synthesis process according to the following reaction : 3Cr3C2 +4C+6Allongrightarrow2Cr3C2 +3Al2O3. The synthesis was conducted at 2 atm in an argon atmosphere. in this study main-product was monolithic phase of Cr3C2 /Cr7C3 mixture and sub-product was slag state of $\alpha$-Al2O3. Single phase of Cr3C2 was obtained when crushed main-product was heat-treated at 120$0^{\circ}C$ for 3h in vacuum state with addition of 2.5wt% C. The obtained Cr3C2 powder can be used as plasma-arc deposit material because the flowability index of powder with the size of 9-50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ was 66.
