The main reason that drives many developing countries to pursue waste-to-energy (WtE) technologies is that it produces energy while eliminating build-up of large quantities of wastes, at a time, when oil and gas reserves are declining. The rate of generation of municipal solid wastes (MSW) in any given country depends on many factors including economy, population, and modernization of industry and infrastructure developments. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federation of seven emirates that has grown to be one of the Middle East's most important economic centers. UAE has also become one of the highest waste producing countries due to fast development and growth; thus, UAE pursue modern technologies to covert generated wastes into energy. In this communication, the status of on-going waste to energy projects and WtE plants that are currently under design and construction in UAE are discussed. The need for development of WtE technologies is presented based on the literature, reports, economics and the environmental regulations.

이 연구는 중앙일보, 조선일보, 한겨레, 경향신문 등 국내 주요 일간지들이 광고주 기업의 뉴스를 얼마나, 어떤 관점에서, 어떻게 보도하는지를 계량적으로 살펴보았다. 특히 이 연구는 광고주 순위와 기사빈도 간에 관계가 있는지, 광고주 관련 보도가 긍정적으로 다뤄지는지, 이런 경향이 신문의 기업관과 이념성향에 따라 차이가 있는지에 대해 내용분석을 실시했다. 또한 같은 방법으로 '삼성그룹 X파일 사건'이라는 특정사건 기간 중 4개 신문의 삼성관련 보도태도를 분석했다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저, 전반적으로 광고수주액이 많은 기업일수록 관련기사 수가 많았다. 또한 광고주 관련 기사는 해당기업에 대해 부정적이기보다는 긍정적인 경우가 많았다. 특히, 광고주 관련 기사의 우호적인 성향(친기업성향)은 기사의 제목보다는 본문의 논조에서, 본문 논조보다는 보도 프레임에서 더욱 두드러지게 나타나는 구조적인 특징을 보였다. 이러한 보도태도는 기업에 우호적인 신문을 외부로 표방하는 중앙일보는 물론, 기업에 비교적 중립적인 입장을 취하는 것으로 알려진 조선일보, 그리고 기업에 비판적 태도를 보이는 한겨레, 경향신문 등 진보신문들도 비슷한 성향을 보였다. 광고주에 우호적인 4개 신문의 이런 보도성향은 삼성X파일 사건기간 중에서도 유사하게 나타났다.

해양 분야에서는 최근 e-navigation 실현을 위한 차세대 표준에 관한 연구가 진행 중이다. IHO(국제수로기구)를 중심으로 전자해도뿐만 아니라 해양의 지리 정보 및 관련 데이터의 교환, 공유, 활용할 수 있도록 S-100기반 다양한 표준에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 다양한 데이터를 통합하여 안전운항을 위한 새로운 정보를 제공하기 위해서는 프로파일링을 통해 S-101, S-102, S-10x 등 다양한 표준 프로파일이 만들어지면 각 표준에서 정의하는 데이터 모델의 요소를 일관성 있고 명확하게 해석하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 S-10x 표준의 기반이 되는 S-100 표준을 일관된 의미 해석과 처리를 할 수 있도록 S-100 표준의 메타데이터를 온톨로지로 변환하는 방안을 제시한다.

The purpose of the present study is to understand the change in the relation between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law according to the social change in comparison with the survey effects in 1974 (ko Jung-Ja) and 1985 to find out the cause of conflict in both side of power structure and affection structure, indicating behavior, the influences on the relationships among family, possible meditators. this thesis was made by an experimental research. Data were collected from 146 mothers-in-law and 141 daughters-in-law in Pusan. The collected data were analysed by statistical methods such is as follows, 1. cause of conflict In power structure the cause of conflict is, in the case of mother-in-law opinion opposion and shaughty attitude by daughter in-low and, in the case of daughter-in-law, domestic dominance. It is thought that there is a difference of viw\ew between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law about the possesion of economic dominance and many conflicts rises because of economic dominance. but the study in 1985 than 1974 suggests the possibility of conflict meditator because mother-in-law and daughter-in-law do homework dependently in the practice of power. In affection structure, the chief dissatisfaction toward daughter-in-law showes the change in time. In 1974, there was no affection and respect. In 1985, the rate of doing without consultation was high. Also, the lack of communication of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law is the cause of conflict. 2. Indicating behavior the rate of thinking alone if high in both sides. But in the survey of 1985, the covert verbal aggressive action with which mother-in-law appeals to her daughter and daughter-in-law to husband is rising. 3. Influence on the relationship among family by the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law play negative effects on the intimacy and relation between husband and wife. 4. Conflict mediation behavior As compremiser, it is suggested that in the case of daughter-in-law the position and role of husband is important and, in the case of mother-in-law respects mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and gives her the role.

모바일 상에서 연재되고 소비되는 웹소설은 다른 문화콘텐츠와 마찬가지로 우리 사회의 한 단면을 포착해낼 수 있는 특징이 있다. 본 논문은 웹소설 키워드 정보를 수집해 웹소설의 주요 모티프 및 트렌드를 파악하고, 나아가 기존 논문들과 연관 지어 이용 독자의 내적 욕구 및 특성을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 분석 결과 접근성이 높고 가독성이 편리한 모바일 환경과 관련해 현대물과 성인 작품이 인기가 높았다. 남자주인공은 웹소설 상에서 이상적으로 그려지는 경향이 있었으나, 현재 남자주인공의 주요 키워드는 2000년대 초와 비교했을 때 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 곧 현대인들의 젠더 관념의 변화를 시사한다. 이와 상반되게 여자주인공은 내면에 상처를 지닌 캐릭터가 인기가 많았고, 이에 대한 원인 중 하나로 사회구조적인 환경 속에서 좌절을 겪어야 했던 현대 여성의 현실을 설명했다. 본 논문은 웹 크롤링의 한계로 성인 작품에 대해 심층적인 분석을 진행하지는 못했지만, 정량적 분석이 미흡했던 기존 웹소설 연구들에 키워드라는 파라텍스트를 활용하여 현대인들의 내적 욕구 및 특성을 분석했다는 의의를 지닌다.
