  • The paper is a summary of the results of the basic pullout test which is conducted to evaluate the anchorage capacity of high strength headed bars that is mechanical anchored vertically on steel fiber reinforced concrete members. The main experimental parameters are volume fraction of steel fiber, concrete strength, anchorage length, yield strength of headed bars, and shear reinforcement bar. Both sides of covering depth of the specimen are planned to double the diameter of the headed bars. The hinged point is placed at the position of each 1.5𝑙dt and 0.7𝑙dt around the headed bars, and the headed bars are drawn directly. As a result of pullout test experiment, concrete fracture and steel tensile rupture appear by experimental parameters. The compressive strength of concrete is 2.7~5.4% higher than that of steel fiber with the same parameters, while the pullout strength is 20.9~63.1% higher than that of steel fiber without the same parameters, which is evaluated to contribute greatly to the improvement of the anchorage capacity. The reinforcements of shear reinforcements parallel to the headed bars increased 1.7~7.7% pullout strength for steel fiber reinforced concrete, but the effect on the improvement of the anchorage capacity was not significant considering the increase in concrete strength. As with the details of this experiment, it is believed that the design formula for the anchorage length of KCI2017and KCI2012 are suitable for the mechanical development design of SD600 head bar that is perpendicular to the steel fiber reinforced concrete members.

  • In this paper, service life for RC(Reinforced Concrete) substructure subjective to carbonation was evaluated through deterministic and probabilistic method considering field investigation data and Design Code(KDS 14 20 40). Furthermore changes in service life with increasing COV(Coefficient of Variation) and equivalent safety index meeting the same service life were studied. From the investigation, the mean and its COV of cover depth were evaluated to 70.0 ~ 90.0 mm and 0.2, respectively. With intended failure probability of 10.0 % and 70 mm of cover depth, service life decreased to 137 years, 123 years, and 91 years with increasing COV of 0.05, 0.1, and 0.2, respectively. In the case of 80 mm of cover depth, it changes to 179 years, 161 years, and 120 years with increasing COV. The equivalent safety index meeting the same service life from deterministic method showed 1.66 ~ 3.43 for 70 mm of cover depth and 1.61 ~ 3.24 for 80 mm of cover depth, respectively. The various design parameters covering local environment and quality condition in deterministic method yields a considerable difference of service life, so that determination of design parameters are required for exposure conditions and parameter variation.

  • This study performed research for improvement on basic concept of PBD applying suitable design method before and after LB-DECK composition. According to study, in this case, before composition, it can reduce minuteness cracks by increasing bending tensile strength utilizing polymer concrete, can expect sensuous effect, improve durability as to low permeability, and was evaluated that can reduce covering depth according as it. Also, because LB-DECK baseplate that apply the empirical design method composite is superior load resistance ability than general baseplate, safety is increased, it is expected to secure constructibility and economic performance at the same time because reinforcement arrangement method and reinforcement amount are fixed even if span effective span is increased at ultimate strength design method application.
