This study was conducted to clarified the relationship between bird community and forest structure and present the counterplan for protection and management of bird community from February 1993 to July 1995 at deciduous and coniferous forest within Mt. Nam area, Seoul, Korea. DBH distribution has not significant differences in each study site. Deciduous forest had more foliage coverage in all layers than coniferous forest. Total 41 species of birds, which were 16 species of resident, 14 species of summer visitor, 4 species of winter visitor, and 7 species of passage migrant were recrded in two study sites. Leaf use rate of birds was increased the increase of coverage. The number of breeding species and pairs, breeding density, and diversity index were greater in deciduous forest than coniferous forest. The number of species and pairs on bush-nesting and foraging guild were greater than other guilds. And the nuber of species and pairs on hole nesting guild were the fewest in nesting guild. Use rate of artificial nests for improvement of habitat quality was greater in coniferous forest than deciduous forest. Maintenance of bush layer, increase of coverage and leaf layer diversity, supply of artificial nests, management of large trees, and control of natural enemy were necessary for protection and management of bird community in Mt. nam area.

This study was designed to help develop an optimized sizing system for the military winter jackets of Korean males. First, we conducted a survey on the supply rate of military winter jackets and the wearing of suitable size jackets in order to identify problems in the current sizing system. We next developed a new sizing system generation method to satisfy the coverage rate and appropriate size number: Hybrid of Grid with Optimization. The findings of this study were: 1. The survey indicated that a 90 (chest girth) size is necessary; in addition, a one-step large size jacket fit well as a right size jacket. 2. We developed three optimized sizing systems for Korean male military winter jackets using the Hybrid of Grid with an optimization method and suggested one of them as a final new sizing system. The new sizing system consisted of two primary dimension: chest girth and stature. It has a 14 size number and its extended coverage rate is larger than the current sizing system and it has a 90 (chest girth) size. It also selected an optimized size for the area of low population density. The new sizing system is therefore considered very effective for Korean male soldiers military winter jackets.
Objectives: This study aimed to find out the characteristics of patients with facial palsy based on the National Health Insurance(NHI) statistical yearbook and provide the information pertaining to supplement Coverage of NHI. Methods: Based on the data of NHI between 2004 to 2021 for facial palsy(G51) obtained from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the analyses were carried out according to the distribution of gender and the number of patients, visits, reimbursed days, and medical expenses by using the SAS 9.4. Results: The crude rate of facial palsy was reported as 361.71(2021) comparable with 419.60(2004) and 534.11(2009). The rate of men increased from 293.96(2004) to 302.27(2021) but the rate of women decreased from 450.88(2014) to 420.80(2021). The number of patients maintained around 190,000, however, it declined for patients treated Korean medicine(KM) after 2010. As the medical expenses were elevated, especially Western medicine(WM), that of WM exceeded KM's since 2018. The expenses of women were higher than men's in KM. By contrast, there was no difference with gender in WM. For reimbursed days per visits, it has been increased in WM but there was no difference in KM. Conclusion: Although the rate of patients with facial palsy in KM was high with no difference in the whole number of patients and reimbursed days per visits in KM annually, the number of patients in KM decreased but medical expenses elevated. According to this, it is necessary for reinforcing Coverage of NHI to research other factors related to KM.

In wireless sensor and actuator networks (WSANs), the network lifetime is an important criterion to measure the performance of the WSAN system. Generally, the network lifetime is mainly affected by the energy of sensors. However, the energy of sensors is limited, and the batteries of sensors cannot be replaced and charged. So, it is crucial to make energy consumption efficient. WSAN introduces multiple actuators that can be regarded as multiple collectors to gather data from their respective surrounding sensors. But how to deploy actuators to reduce the energy consumption of sensors and increase the manageability of the network is an important challenge. This research optimizes actuators deployment by a proposed probabilistic mutation multi-layer particle swarm optimization algorithm to maximize the coverage of actuators to sensors and reduce the energy consumption of sensors. Simulation results show that this method is effective for improving the coverage rate and reducing the energy consumption.

In this study, we performed urrban climate simulation how both the factor of environmental land and artificial factors influence on the formation of urban temperature. With deducing quantitative data, this study could get more accurate results of the urban temperature using urban climate simulation system. In the case of natural land cover, it appeared that there are effects on the lowering temperature and the lower temperature rate appeared in the water land cover on the whole. This is considered as temperature in water land was low because of the characteristics of water land having evaporation latent heat was high and convective sensible heat was low. In case of building which has building coverage ratio, 5% with 10 floors and building coverage ratio, 15 % with 6 floors, it appears that the temperature in the water land is $33.6^{\circ}C$. In case of building coverage ratio 5%, temperature dropped when buildings has more than 4 stories. This is regarded as the size of building is bigger, the temperature dropped in relatively because of the fluctuation of the rate of solar heat from the land. At the present time, the urban temperature are higher because of various artificial factors in the city. With these results, this study supposed to be a basies of the future studies for considering both the composition of building coverate ratio and floor plan.
Exposed root surfaces can cause esthetic problems, hypersensitivity, and root caries. Numerous efforts have been tried to cover the recessed root surfaces, and various techniques have been developed and introduced. Among these, subepithelial connective tissue graft which shows high coverage rate in various researches, has the advantage of good color match, less discomfort to the donor site, rich vascularity, and high predictability. Following results were obtained after investigating 6 and 18 months post operatively, 98 cases of subepithelial connective tissue graft from 48 patients who underwent subepithelial connective tissue graft procedure in the department of periodontology, college of dentistry, Yonsei university. 1. The total average root coverage of Miller class I, II & III were 76.2?24% at 6 months follow-up and 75?25.2% at 18 months follow-up with no statistically significant difference between the follow-up periods.(p<0.05) 2. The percentage of teeth showing complete coverage were 41.9% at 6 months follow-up and 39.2% at 18 months follow-up. 3. At 6 months follow-up, Miller classification I showed 84.9?20.7%, class II showed 82.5?17.7%, and class III showed 62.3?24.5% of coverage. In class III recession, statistically significantly less root coverage was observed compared to class I & II. (p(0.05) 4. At 18 months follow-up, Miller classification I showed 92.2?13.5%, class II showed 84.3?17.4%, and class III showed 59.5?24.5% of coverage. In class III recession, statistically significantly less root coverage was observed compared to class I & II. (p<0.05) In conclusion, subepithelial connective tissue graft for class I and II recession can be used as a clinically predictable treatment modality for root coverage.

3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) is the progressing standardization of the narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) system to support massive devices for the Internet of Things (IoT) services. The NB-IoT system uses a coverage class technique to increase the performance of the NB-IoT system while serving massive devices in very wide coverage area. A moving device can change the coverage class according to the distance or the channel state between the base station and the moving device. However, in the conventional NB-IoT standard, the performance of the NB-IoT system degrades because the coverage class is changed based on the fixed criterion. This paper proposes the coverage class adaptation schemes to increase the performance of the NB-IoT system by dynamically change the coverage class according to the location or the channel state of the device. Simulation results show that the proposed coverage class adaptation scheme decreases both the signaling overhead and the PDCCH decoding error rate in comparison with the conventional coverage class adaptation scheme in the 3GPP standard.

Background : Efforts towards increasing insurance coverage for traditional Korean medicine (TKM) are being continued. However, various difficulties are faced in generating evidence for TKM due to limited financial support and the low quality of research methodology. Objectives : The objectives of this study were to review the Swiss evaluation program for complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and assess the expansion in public health insurance coverage of complementary medicine as approved by referendum in Switzerland. Methods : The regulations of CAM in the European Union were assessed. Research articles, reports, government publications and websites which deal with the 'Programm Evaluation $Komplement{\ddot{a}}rmedizin$ (PEK)' and the referendum in Switzerland were searched for and analyzed. Results : The PEK was conducted from 1998 to 2005. The PEK evaluated the efficacy, utilization and cost-effectiveness of anthroposophical medicine, homeopathy, neural therapy, phytotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine. However, clear conclusions could not be drawn from the evaluation according to the PEK Report. Later, a referendum was implemented in which 5 therapies would be added to the Switzerland Constitution with the support of the public. The coverage of CAM was approved by Swiss a plebiscite with an approval rate of 67.0%. Conclusions : The reason for the successful referendum is suggested to be public support and the solidarity with CAM experts and politicians. It may be surmised that recognition of the political efforts and scientific aspects required to expand insurance coverage of TKM, and towards obtaining public support, is necessary.

Mobile Multi-hop Relaying (MMR) system can provide increased system capacity of wireless access network by coverage extension and enhanced transmission rate within the Base Station (BS) coverage area. The previous researches for the MMR system with a non-transparent mode Relay Station (RS) do not consider channel selection procedure of Mobile Station (MS), co-channel interference and Multi-hop Relay Base Station (MR-BS) coverage and RS coverage ratio in MMR system. In this paper, we investigate the performance of MMR uplink system in multicell environments with various topologies. The performance is presented in terms of call blocking probability, channel utilization, outage probability and system throughput by varying offered load. It is found that, for certain system parameters, the MMR uplink system achieve the maximum system throughput when MR-BS coverage to RS coverage ratio is 7.

In this paper, we analyze the coverage of asynchronous IMT(International Mobile Telecommunication)-2000 reverse link with a MUD(Multi-User Detector) system. The MUD system is utilized to increase the coverage of reverse link. Also we have considered a propagation loss model and an interference effect. Because it is very difficult that we have calculated the interference accurately, so a fractional cell loading factor(F) is used in this paper. We make use of a MUD efficiency($\beta$) to analyze the performance; this efficiency is presented the MAI of reduction. A simulation utilizes Hata's model, we calculated the coverage according to voice and data services. In this paper, we have assumed that the frequency of carrier has 800 MHz or 1.9 GHz, and a bandwidth is decided 3.84 MHz. We have predicted the performance of actual system by the analysis of capacity and coverage.
