  • In this paper, we generalize lifted inequalities to a 0-1 mixed-integer bilinear covering set with linear terms. This work is motivated by the observation that Generalized Bilinear Inequality (GBI) occurs in the Branch and Bound process. We find some conditions and prove the subadditivity of lifting functions for lifting to be sequence-independent. Using the theoretical results, we develop facet-defining inequalities for a GBI-defined set through three steps of lifting.

  • Robust knapsack problem appears when dealing with data uncertainty on the knapsack constraint. This note presents a generalization of the cover inequality for the problem with its lifting procedure. Specifically, we show that the lifting can be done in a polynomial time as in the usual knapsack problem. The results can serve as a building block in devising an efficient branch-and-cut algorithm for the general robust (0, 1) IP problem.

  • Some new Lyapunov-type inequalities for a class of nonlinear differential systems, which are natural refinements and generalizations of the well-known Lyapunov inequality for linear second order differential equations, are given. The results of this paper cover some previous results on this topic.

  • In this paper we address reliable output feedback control problem for a class of linear systems with actuator/sensor failures. An output feedback control method is proposed which stabilizes the plant and guarantees $H_\inftyt$-norm constraint against all admissible actuator/sensor failures. The controller can be obtainer by solving some LMls that cover all failure cases. Effectiveness of this controller is validated via a numerical example. • This study analyzes human development convergence and the impact of funds transfer to the regions using σ and β-convergence analysis method. Observations were made in all Indonesia's provinces in the period 2010-2019. The coefficient of variation calculation shows a dispersion in the inequality of human development, which means that convergence occurred. This is also documented by the clustering analysis results developed in the study. The results are in line with the hypothesis of neoclassical theory, which shows the tendency for provinces with lower human development levels to grow relatively faster. The dynamic panel data approach with the GMM model shows that a model built with explanatory variables for transfer of funds to regions may lead to the process of convergence of human development - 2.21% per year or 31 years to cover the half-life of convergence. This is a consequence of the Special Allocation Fund and the Village Fund, which positively impact the convergence process, and the General Allocation Fund and the Revenue Sharing Fund with negative signs slowing the convergence process. This evidence opens opportunities to review the justification of the weighting component in determining the amount of funds transferred to the region to accelerate the convergence process of human development.

  • This note addresses the problem of reliable (equation omitted) output-feedback control design for linear systems with actuator and/or sensor failures. An output feedback control design is proposed which stabilizes the plant and guarantees an (equation omitted)-norm bound on at-tenuation of augmented disturbances including all admissible actuator/sensor failures. Based on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, the output- feedback controller design method is constructed by formulating to LMIs that cover all failure cases. Ef-fectiveness of this controller is validated via a numerical example.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method for template matching, patch ratio, to inpaint unknown pixels. Before this paper, many inpainting methods used sum of squared differences(SSD) or sum of absolute differences(SAD) to calculate distance between patches and it was very useful for closest patches for the template that we want to fill in. However, those methods don't consider about geometric similarity and that causes unnatural inpainting results for human visuality. Patch ratio can cover the geometric problem and moreover computational cost is less than using SSD or SAD. It is guaranteed about finding the most similar patches by Cauchy-Schwarz inequality. For ignoring unnecessary process, we compare only selected candidates by priority calculations. Exeperimental results show that the proposed algorithm is more efficent than Criminisi's one.

  • Multicast technology allows the transmission of data from one source node to a selected group of destination nodes. Multicast routes typically use trees, called multicast routing trees, to minimize resource usage such as cost and bandwidth by sharing links. Moreover, the quality of service (QoS) is satisfied by distributing data along a path haying no more than a given number of arcs between the root node of a session and a terminal node of it in the routing tree. Thus, a multicast routing tree for a session can be represented as a hop constrained Steiner tree. In this paper, we consider the hop-constrained multicast route packing problem with bandwidth reservation. Given a set of multicast sessions, each of which has a hop limit constraint and a required bandwidth, the problem is to determine a set of multicast routing trees in an arc-capacitated network to minimize cost. We propose an integer programming formulation of the problem and an algorithm to solve it. An efficient column generation technique to solve the linear programming relaxation is proposed, and a modified cover inequality is used to strengthen the integer programming formulation.

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of public spending, macroeconomic variables, and BPK opinion on economic growth. This study is motivated by the inequality of fiscal policy effectiveness between regions in Indonesia in influencing the economic growth of different regions, the ability of local governments to attract foreign investors, and the transparency of regional financial management in designing development programs to encourage regional economic growth. The analytical tool in this study is a dynamic panel regression model with data from 2008 to 2017. The results of this study show that, in the short term, the population affects regional economic growth, while in the long term, the economic growth is affected by the number of people, the poor, General Allocation Fund, health budget, foreign investment and BPK opinion. The findings of this study are that in the long term the General Allocation Fund becomes an obstacle to economic growth, this is because the general allocation funds is widely used to cover the lack of funds for routine regional activities, thereby reducing activities for development programs. Another research finding is that fiscal policies carried out by local governments make a small and ineffective contribution to promoting economic growth.
