고출력(25GW)글라스레이저시스템의 개발에 관한 연구

  • The laser parameters such as a population inversion density, a stimulated emission cross section and loss factor in the glass laser amplifier medium were experimentally determined in order to analyse the properties of laser amplification. Using these parameters, the rate equations were approximately solved and the properties of laser amplification were analysed. An experiment of two-stage amplifier of Q-switching laser pulse was performed and the maximum output power was 1.1 GW, 33J. The several problems such as a laser solarization and a laser coupling in laser amplification were resolved.

  • For the power line communication, we studied its characteristic impedance, noise characteristics, loss characteristics and the coupling circuit between the communication MODEM and power lines. As the results of the experiments, we concluded that the power line impedance in a house varied in the wide range because the electric systems generate the current and voltage hamornic noises.

  • Due to the low loss, broadband and accurate short time delay properties of optical fiber, it has attracted as a delay medium for high speed and broad-band signal processing. In this paper, we consider the coherent optical fiber filter of IIR lattice structure, which uses coherent light sources and consists of directional couplers whose coupling coefficients are restricted between 0 and 1. Considering restrictions of directional coupler, the design formulae and condition for realibility of optical fiber filter of IIR lattice structure which makes the optimal use of optical signal energy are derived.

  • Vibrational characteristics of coupled beam & plate system are considered on simple system, which consists of plates(2-subsystem) and beams(4-subsystem), using experimental statistical energy analysis(ESEA). First, damping and coupling loss factors of the system are determined by power injection method (PIM). Then, energy distribution of all the subsystem is estimated from the power balance equation. Finally, these quantities are compared with measured energy. The correlation of measured and estimated results for the sample problem is reasonably good.

A Study on Properties of C-V Degradation due to Heating in Teflon (테프론의 가열에 의한 C-V 열화 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the temperature characteristics of electrostatic capacity and dielectric loss for the sample of Teflon film which is degradated at the $120^{\circ}C{\sim}200^{\circ}C$ temperature range in the oven for 10 hours has been measured in through the applied frequency range of 0.1 kHz~4,800 kHz at temperature of $50^{\circ}C$, $90^{\circ}C$, $130^{\circ}C$, $170^{\circ}C$. Also, in the same conditions, the frequency characteristics of electrostatic capacity and dielectric loss for the sample of Teflon film has been measured in through the applied temperature range of $30^{\circ}C{\sim}70^{\circ}C$ on setting frequency of 0.1 kHz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz, 100 kHz. The results of this study are as follows. When the frequency range of 0.1 kHz~4,800 kHz applied to the sample of Teflon film, the electrostatic capacity has been measured at the temperature of $50^{\circ}C$, $90^{\circ}C$, $130^{\circ}C$, $170^{\circ}C$. Through this measurement, it found that the electrostatic capacity decreased with increasing temperature. Regarding this result, may be it is because the electromagnetic coupling is degraded by thermal degradation. When the sample of Teflon film heated at $280^{\circ}C$ for 10 hours in oven, the dielectric loss has changed from unstable status to stabilizing status with increasing the degradation temperature in the $120^{\circ}C$, $160^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$ range. In this measurement, the two spectrums of dielectric loss appeared. It considers that this spectrum of dielectric loss appeared in 300 Hz is caused by the molecular motion of the C-F or OH group. Through this study, It found that the electrostatic capacity decreased with increasing frequency and temperature, and there is no change in dielectric loss, although the frequency increases.

  • In this paper, a broadband double balanced mixer is presented using a wideband Marchand balun implementation by vertical coupler. Frequency is selected as $1.0{\sim}3.7GHz$ for RF, $1.14{\sim}3.84GHz$ for LO, and 140 MHz for IF signals. When LO signal with 7 dBm at 2.64 GHz is injected, a conversion loss of 7.5 dB and RF to LO isolation of -45 dB are obtained. Also, an average conversion loss of 9 dB and RF to LO isolation of -25 dB are obtained for frequency band of $1.0{\sim}3.7GHz$.

A Study on Feedforward System for IMT-2000

  • A linear power amplifier is particularly emphasized on the system using a linear modulations, such as 16QAM and QPSK with pulse shaping. because intermodulation distortion which causes adjacent channel interference and co-channel interference is mostly generated in a nonlinear power amplifier. In this paper, parameters of a linearization loop, such as an amplitude imbalance a phase imbalance and a delay mismatch, are briefly analyzed to get a specific cancellation performance and linearization bandwidth. Experimental results are presented for IMT-2000 frequency band. The center frequency of the feedforward amplifier is 2140 MHz with 60 MHz bandwidth. When the average output power of feedforward amplifier is 20 Watt. the intermodulation cancellation performance is more than 21 dB. In this case, the output power of feedforward amplifier reduced 3.5 dB because of extra delay line loss and coupling loss. The feedforward amplifier efficiency is more than 7.2 % for multicarrier signals, 59 dBc for ACPR.

  • 이륙과 음속 통과시 랜덤진동형태의 음향/진동환경에 노출되는 위성체의 음향/진동시험은 시제품을 완성한 후에 슨1행되므로 않은 시행착오를 겪거나, 과다한 안전계수를 사용하여 불필요한 무게증가 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 통계적 에너지 해석법 (Statistical Energy Analysis)을 이용한 선행 해석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 KOMPSAT-1 (Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-1) 위성체의 SDM (Structural Dynamic Model)에 대하여 SEA 해석을 수행하였다. 감쇠 손실 인자 (Damping Loss Ffactor)는 단판을 분리하여, 연성 손실 인자(Coupling Loss Factor)는 SDM모델 하부의 두 샌드위치 패널을 분리하여 실험적으로 산정하였다.

  • Novel asymmetric 45$^{\circ}$ Schiffman phase shifter having l-coupling for 2.3GHz applications is presented along with measurement results. The proposed phase shifter with a Teflon substrate is fabricated in a smaller area and cost-effective way as compared to the conventional Schiffman phase shifter. In addition, the characteristics of the fabricated phase shifter is extracted and compared. The proposed phase shifter seems useful particularly for the future 2.3GHz wireless applications.

  • In this paper, in order to develop low loss multilayer actuator, piezoelectric properties of PZW-PMN-PZT multilayer actuator sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ low temperature were investigated according to the number of multilayer. The multilayer actuator was fabricated using tape casting method and used pure Ag internal electrode. The density above $8.0\;g/cm^3$ was obtained at all specimens. With increasing number of multilayer, effective electromechanical coupling factor($k_{eff}$) was increased. $k_{eff}$ of multilayer actuator shows the maximum value of 0.283 at 11 layers actuator. However, effective mechanical quality factor(Qm') was decreased according to the increase of number of multilayer. The Qm' of multilayer actuator showed the maximum value of 920 at 5 layers actuator.
