In this paper, the research results for the improvement of tracking performance of a hydraulic shaking table are presented. A servo-hydraulic shaking table is not only highly nonlinear but also has a lot of time delay. In addition, the shaking table, which consists of multi axial hydraulic actuators, is a MIMO system coupled by kinematics and dynamics of each other's actuators. And it is demanded for the shaking table to track arbitrary trajectories up to high frequency even at the extreme situations such as substantial external loads and large disturbances. For this purpose, an iterative feed-forward control based on the inverse of a measured frequency response function is used for the shaking table. To solve the dynamic coupling, a pressure feedback control as numerical damping is used. It is shown through numerical simulations that the tracking performance of shaking table is improved up to 100Hz.

This paper is designed and producted the microstrip patch antenna which used aperture coupled feed structure, and had a comparatively hish gain and headband characteristic with a PCS substitution repeater antenna. The proposed antenna transformed a coupled slot into a H-type in order to improve a characteristic of a general aperture coupled feed antenna. It is this H-type form slot reduces back lobe from the antenna backside at the same time that a coupling between a power feed and patches is iccreased, and to have maximized a gain of an antenna. As a result of having measured the antenna which the VSWR was 1.5 or below and tied up the gain than 7.5dBi in the $1750{\sim}1870$[MHz] that was a PCS substitution, and a beamwidth became in $80^{\circ}$ and radio waves shadow was local, but accomplishment did PCS mobile communication service in building me smoothly, but confirmed what practical use can become.

The load-following operation of small modular reactors (SMRs) requires accurate prediction of transient behaviors that can occur in the balance of plants (BOP) and the nuclear steam supply system (NSSS). However, 1-D thermal-hydraulics analysis codes developed for safety and performance analysis have conventionally excluded the BOP from the simulation by assuming ideal boundary conditions for the main steam and feed water (MS/FW) systems, i.e., an open loop. In this study, we introduced a lumped model of BOP fluid system and coupled it with NSSS without any ideal boundary conditions, i.e., in a closed loop. Various methods for coupling boundary conditions at MS/FW were tested to validate their combination in terms of minimizing numerical instability, which mainly arises from the coupled boundaries. The method exhibiting the best performance was selected and applied to a transient simulation of an integrated NSSS and BOP system of a SMART. For a transient event with core power change of 100-20-100%, the simulation exhibited numerical stability throughout the system without any significant perturbation of thermal-hydraulic parameters. Thus, the introduced boundary-condition coupling method and BOP fluid system model can expectedly be employed for the transient simulation and performance analysis of SMRs requiring daily load-following operations.
In this paper, Coplanar waveguide(CPW)-fed slot loop antenna, which is applicable to the dual band(2.4GHz~2.4835GHz, 5.15GHz~5.825GHz) for the wireless LAN, is proposed. In order to miniaturize the proposed antenna, slot loop is bent by meandering. The resonant frequencies in the required dual band are adjusted by variation of the resonant length of slot loop as well as slot width. In particular, use of capacitive coupling CPW feed provides impedance matching without a seperate matching circuit, because the amount of electromagnetic coupling can be controlled by the offset between feed and radiator. As a result, it has been observed that the proposed antenna satisfies not only the required return loss(${\leq}10dB$) but also has high efficiency(${\geq}80%$) over the whole frequency band. In order to check the validity of the proposed antenna, some simulated results for return loss and radiation pattern are presented in comparison with the measured results.

The design method for a dual frequency antenna using CPW feed lines is presented. The antenna structures can be simplified by CPW feed lines and easily designed on integrated circuits. The presented antenna has two resonant frequency ranges and each respective resonant frequency is determined by its own length of monopole antenna. We used an impedance matching method by using a monopole coupling related to the ground of CPW feed lines As a result, the resonant frequencies were 5.25[GHz] and 23.5[GHz] and their bandwidths $35.2\%,\;and\;41.3\%$, respectively, and also, the separation of the two frequencies $370\;%$. We presented an analytical designing method to implement a dual frequency monopole antenna and showed simple antenna structures having two frequency ranges for RFIC Integrations.

The external quality factor ($Q_e$) is controlled by coupling condition between resonator and input/output ports in design of microwave filter. In this paper, we represent extracting method of external quality factor using phase response for resonator with input/output ports according to position of feed line from microstrip line resonator. The results regarding to position, coupling gap and line width for tapped line and coupled line structure are represented, and we got the exact $Q_e$ value from the this method. This results will be applied to coupled resonator filter design.

This study was conducted to find a catalyst system which has high conversion and selectivity for the oxidative coupling of methane to produce ethane and ethylene. Various catalysts were tested in a fixed bed reactor ar $750^{\circ}C$, 1 atm, and the feed ratio($CH_4/O_2$) of 2/1. Under the reaction condition, 10wt%$PbSO_4/MgO$ catalyst showed the highest catalytic activity : methane conversion, $C_2$ selectivity and yield were 50, 40 and 20%, respectively. Catalysts containing sulfate compounds, 10wt%$PbSO_4/MgO$, 10wt%$MgSO_4/MgO$ and $Na_2SO_4/MgO$ revealed a moderate methane conversions such as 38, 50 and 50%, respectively and low $C_2$ selectivities such as 18, 5 and 9%, respectively. Catalysts containing carbonate compounds, 10wt%$PbCO_3/MgO$, 10wt%$Li_2CO_3/MgO$ and $NaCO_3/MgO$, also showed a moderate methane conversions such as 64, 44 and 51%, respectively and low $C_2$ selectivities such as 5, 6 and 2%, respectively. With the existence of chlorine and mercury, $C_2$ selectivity was decreased.

A new type of a Rotman lens is presented in this paper fur millimeter-wave applications, such as collision avoidance radar. A dielectric slab Rotman lens is proposed to reduce the conductor loss and to create an appropriate farm for favorable implementation at millimeter-wave frequency. The proposed lens consists of a dielectric slab and slot lines whereas the conventional lenses are constructed with parallel conducting plates. The dielectric slab Rotman lens excited in TE$\_$0/ mode shows a high degree of confinement for the fields, low dispersion, and has an appropriate feed structure. A prototype lens has been designed and fabricated with 9 beam ports and 9 array ports together with 9 tapered slot antennas. This lens has been tested in the range from 10 GHz to 15 GHz and the measured beam widths are about 15$^{\circ}$ at 13 GHz. The measurements also show low mutual coupling between beam ports and an efficiency of about 34.6 %. The overall performance is comparable to that of conventional Rotman lenses even though the prototype was tested at lower than desired frequencies in the microwave frequency range due to our limited resources for fabrications and measurements. It is expected that at millimeter-wave frequency the dielectric slab Rotman lens will have lower conductor loss and lower mutual coupling than conventional Rotman lenses.an lenses.
The primary objective of this study is to increase the extent of water flux and fouling resistance of nano-filtration or reverse osmosis membranes. This study was performed to investigate the effect of surface characteristics of silane coated membranes on modified fouling index. Commercial polyamide composite RO membrane (RE1812-LP) and NF membrane (ESNA4040-LF) were treated with silane coupling agents in ethanol at five different concentrations. The silane coupling reagent, aminopropylmethoxydiethoxysilane, contains one aminoalkyl and three alkoxy groups. The hydrophilic effect of aminoalkyl group of APMDES on the permeability and fouling resistance of the modified membrane was examined. The surfaces of the modified membranes were characterized by FE-SEM, contact angle analyzer, and zeta potentiometer in order to confirm successful sol-gel methods. The modified NF membranes showed significantly enhanced water flux and fouling resistance without a decrease in salt rejection in divalent ionic feed solution.
