  • We examined to develop the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for determination of zearalenone in animal feeds. Zearalenone was first converted to 6'-(carboxymethyl) zearalenone oxime(zearalenone oxime) to get a coupling site and then conjugated to bovine serum albumin(BSA) for use as immunogen and to horseradish peroxidase(HRP) for use as enzyme marker. Antibody against zearalenone was obtained after 11 weeks of immunization of rabbit with zearalenone oxime-BSA. Cross reactivity of the antibody with ${\alpha}-zearalanol,\;{\beta}-zearalenol,\;{\alpha}-zearalanol\;and\;{\beta}-zearalanol$ were 168, 46, 26 and 20% respectiviely. A simple procedure was devised for the screening of zearalenone in feeds using ELISA. Feeds samples(5g) were extracted by blending with 25 ml of methanol-phospate butTered saline-dimethylformate(70 : 29 : 1) and the extract was filtered and aqueous filterate analyzed. It took only 1 hours to do whole procedure for the analysis of zearalenone in feeds by the direct competitive ELISA, and detectable limit was 1-100 ppb. Using this procedure, only 4 of 24 feed samples showed positive results with 3.93-7.43 ppb levels.

  • The high-$T_c$ Superconducting (HTS) antenna which consists of "H" type resonator has the benefits for the miniaturization of antenna in comparison with the microstrip antenna of the similar dimension. To fabricate the "H" type antenna, HTS $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (YBCO) thin films were deposited on MgO substrates using rf-magnetron sputtering. Standard etching processes were performed for the patterning of the "H" type antenna. For comparison between normal conducting antennas and superconducting antennas, the gold antennas with the same dimension were also fabricated. An aperture coupling was used for impedance matching between $50{\Omega}$ feed line and HTS radiating patch. The diverse experimental results were reported in terms of the resonant frequency, the return loss and the characteristics impedance. The "H" type superconducting antenna showed the performance of 1.36 in SWR, 24% in efficiency, and 14.6 dB in the return loss superior of the normal conducting counterpart.

  • A variable gain low noise amplifier (VG-LNA) implemented in TSMC 0.18 um process is presented. This VG-LNA is designed of two stage amplifier, and its gain is controlled by the shunt feedback loop composed of a gain control transistor (GCT) and a coupling capacitor in second stage. The channel resistance of GCT in the shunt feedback loop influences the input and output stages of a second stage by the Miller effect. Total gain of the proposed VG-LNA is changed by two factors, the load impedance reduction and the interstage mismatch by controlling the channel resistance of the GCT. Consequently, by adding a shunt feedback with a gain control transistor, this proposed VG-LNA achieves both wide gain tuning range of 37 dB and continuous gain control simultaneously.

  • The fluid system such as, the quantity control of raw water, chemicals control in the purification, the waste water system as well as in the feed water or circulation system of the power plant and the ventilation system is controlled with the valve and moter pump. The system's performance and the energy saving of the fluid systems depend on control of method and delicacy. Until, PI controller use in these system but it cannot control delicately because of the coupling in the system loop. In this paper we configure a single flow system to the multi variable system and suggest the application of 2-DOF PID controller and the tuning methods by the neural network to the electrical power of the flow control system. the 2-DOF controller follows to a setpoint has a robustness against the disturbance in the results of simulation. • In this paper, a multi polarization reconfigurable microstrip antenna that can be used selectively for four polarizations(vertical polarization, horizontal polarization, right hand circular polarization, left hand circular polarization) at the S-band is presented. The proposed antenna consists of four PIN diodes and a microstrip patch with a cross slot and a circular slot and is fed by utiliting electromagnetic coupling between the microstrip patch and the feed line. The proposed antenna has a DC bias network to supply DC voltage to each PIN diode and the polarization can be determined by controlling the ON /OFF states of four PIN diodes. The fabricated antenna has a VSWR below 2 in the vertical polarization(3.17~3.21 GHz), the horizontal polarization(3.16~3.20 GHz), the left hand circular polarization (3.08~3.19 GHz), and the right hand circular polarization(3.10~3.2 GHz) frequency bands. The designed antenna has the cross polarization level higher than 20 dB, a gain over 5 dBi for the linear polarization states, and 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth wider than 50 MHz in the circular polarization states.

  • We implemented a dual-band slot-coupled patch (SCP) antenna for the external access point (AP) of the wireless local area network (WLAN) band. The antennas consist of two radiators on three layers. The first radiator is a slotted bow tie antenna operating at the 2.4-2.483 GHz band. The second radiator is a patch antenna with parasitic elements operating at 4.095-5.845 GHz. The high gain and broad bandwidth is important element of wireless access. To enhance the bandwidth, a coupled feeding was used in the first radiator and a parasitic patch was used in the second radiator. We used a parasitic patch and chock to improve the directivity and isolation in both radiators. The porposed antenna was designed by EM simulation tool and measured. The S11 of the antenna was less than -11dB (VSWR 1.8:1) at operating frequency. The peak gain was more than 6 dBi in the first antenna and more than 8 dBi in the second antenna.

  • Pure CaO, Mn-doped CaO, Mn/CaO, and K/CaO catalysts were prepared and tested as catalysts for the oxidative coupling of methane in the temperature range of 600 to 800$^{\circ}C$ to investigate the effects of Mn- and K-addition on the catalytic activity of calcium oxide. To characterize the catalysts, X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), XPS, SEM, DSC, and TG analyses were performed. The catalytic reaction was carried out in a single-pass flow reactor using on-line gas chromatography system. Normalized reaction conditions were generally $p(CH_4)/p(O_2)=250$ Torr/50 Torr, total feed flow rate=30 mL/min, and 1 atm of total pressure with He being used as diluent gas. Among the catalysts tested, 6.3 mol% Mn-doped CaO catalyst showed the best $C_2$ yield of 8.0% with a selectivity of 43.2% at 775$^{\circ}C$. The $C_2$ selectivity increased on lightly doped CaO catalysts, while decreased on heavily doped CaO([Mn] > 6.3 mol%) catalysts. 6 wt.% Mn/CaO and 6 wt.% K/CaO catalysts showed the $C_2$ selectivities of 13.2% and 30.9%, respectively, for the reaction. Electrical conductivities of CaO and Mn-doped CaO were measured in the temperature range of 500 to 1000$^{\circ}C$ at Po2's of $10^{-3}\; to\;10^{-1}\;atm.$ The electrical conductivity was decreased with Mn-doping and increased with increasing $P0_2$in the range of $10^{-3}\;to\;10^{-1}\;atm,$ indicating the specimens to be p-type semiconductors. It was suggested that the interstitial oxygen ions formed near the surface can activate methane and the formation of interstitial oxygen ions was discussed on the basis of solid-state chemistry.
