This paper aims to research the technology level of sports industry, through analyzing the technology gap between Korea and other major countries (USA, Europe, Japan, and China), and provide a list of technologies to be prioritized for R&D investment by conducting an analysis of the strategic importance of various element technologies. The results of the analysis showed that the technology level of Korean sports industry currently stands at 70.5% of the country with the most advanced technology (the USA), and that the technology gap amounts to 4.8 years. It was also found that the USA is the country with the most advanced technology (100%) at present, followed by Europe (91.1%), Japan (88.3%), Korea (70.5%), and China (61.2%). To reduce the technology gap, we established a Strategic Zone (SZ) and derived three element technologies including 'design and production technologies for sports and game equipment' in the $1^{st}$ tier, nine element technologies including '3D motion analysis and simulation technology' in the $2^{nd}$ tier, and four element technologies including 'fitness/health promotion and management technology' in the $3^{rd}$ tier. The significance of this research is that it included five major technology categories of the sports industry in its analysis, selected an expert on sports industry technologies using the delphi method. Therefore, the results of this study may be suitable for use as basic data in establishing the R&D strategy for the future development of the sports industry.

This study was conducted to identify whether there is a significant difference in the developmental stages of the evolution concept depending on the major and the country. For this study, college students (both biology major and non-biology major) in Korea and the United States answered evolution concept assessment developed by Ha (2007). The data were analyzed based on the method of developed by Ha (2016). As a result of this study, Cronbach alpha for internal consistency reliability and MNSQ indices for item response fitness of the ordered multiple choice method providing 0 to 4 point scores to creationism, teleology, intentionality, use/disuse, and natural selection respectively, satisfied the benchmark. The level of Korean college students' evolution concepts was located in use/disuse and the level of USA college students' evolution concepts was located in teleology. No interaction effect was found between the difference of conceptual progressions of evolution concept by major and country and evolution contexts (human, animal, and plant). There was a significant relationship between developmental stages of evolution concept and their religiosity. Based on the results of this study, we discuss developmental characteristics of evolutionary concepts.
Purpose: This study is to provide basic data for establishing successful organization management strategies of organizations by understanding rank systems and duty types of dental hygienists who work in dental hospitals. Methodology/Approach: The study conducted a survey and an interview survey two times targeting the entire dental hospitals. The first survey secured the response results of 113 hospitals in the result that conducted the survey targeting 190 dental hospitals in the whole country except 24 ones including dental college hospitals, dental hospitals affiliated with medical colleges or general hospitals, military dental hospitals, and dental hospitals for the disabled among the 214 ones which were registered in the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service as of December 2015. The second survey conducted the interview survey targeting persons in charge of personnel management by selecting 34 dental hospitals with rank systems of 4 rank systems and above. Finding: The dental hospital has found that dental hygienists-centered human resources were composed. The number of ranks has found that 1 to 6 levels are shown and level 3 is highest. Titles of staff levels have found that 32 places are highest in order of 'employees
The Earth's temperature has risen $0.76^{\circ}C$ (degree) during last 100 years which Implies a sudden rise, compare with the 4oC (degrees) rise through out the past 20,000 years. If the volume of GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emission continues at the current level, the average temperature of the Earth will rise by $1^{\circ}C$ (degree) by 2030 with the further implication that the temperature of Earth will rise by $2{\sim}5^{\circ}C$ (degrees) every 100 years. Therefore, as we are aware that the temperature of the glacial epoch was $8{\sim}9^{\circ}C$ (degrees) lower than the present time, we can easily predict that the above temperature rises can be potentially disastrous for human life. Every country in the world recognizes theseriousness of the current climate change and adopted a convention on climate change in June 1992 in Rio. The COP1 was held in March 1995 in Berlin and the COP3 in Dec. 1997 in Kyotowhere the target (2008-2012) was determined and the advanced nations' reduction target (5.2%, average)was also agreed at this conference. Korea participated in the GHG reduction plan which required the world's nations to ratify the Kyoto Protocol. Ratification of the Kyotoprotocol and the followup requirement to introduce an international emissions trading scheme will require severe reductions in GHGs and considerable economic consequences. USA are still refusing to fully ratify the treaty as the emission reductions could severely damage the economies of these countries. In order to estimate the exact $CO_2$ emission, this study statistically analyzed $CO_2$ emission of each country based on the following variables : level of economic power and scientific development, the industrial system, productivity and energy efficiency.
Since the liberalization of petroleum product prices in 1997, there has been persistent suspicion with regard to asymmetry in the movement of petroleum product prices in Korea. In particular, academics and consumer groups suggest that prices decided by refining companies and gas stations have moved asymmetrically compared with international petroleum product prices. The primary aim of this study is to determine, using the Error Correction Model, to perform multi-country asymmetry analysis including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Japan. We shows that comparison of domestic prices with international prices in the six countries mentioned above revealed a fairly low level of asymmetry in those countries, although some asymmetry was found in some countries at various times within the period of analysis. To explain the different degrees of asymmetry between countries, this study looked at asymmetry in the United States, Germany and Italy and sought correlations between each country's oil industry structure and its level of competition.
Recently, drivers have begun to regard comfort in the cabin as one of the most important factors in construction equipment like forklifts. Accordingly, it has become more important to design a forklift cabin with a better sound quality as well as lower sound level, which can make a driver more comfortable. In this paper, the correlation between subjective evaluation and Zwicker's sound quality index was analyzed through a blind test by a few workers in forklifts and other construction equipment in several countries. Correlation analysis showed that Loudness and Sharpness were ranked in sequence, and tendencies were different from country to country. Also, contribution analysis for Loudness and Sharpness using operational transfer path analysis (OTPA), which is widely used in the field of noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), was performed. However, Loudness and Sharpness cannot be used with OTPA directly because there are no linear relationships between the sources and receivers. In this paper, both are calculated by applying the DIN 45631 method with a contribution rate (%) of 1/3 Octave Sound Pressure Level by OTPA method in addition to considering spectral masking.
This study aims to establish the direction of development of Korean cinematography technology in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and present future development plan. First, in order to diagnose the current status, supporting policies of various countries and film technology research trends were analyzed. Each country is expanding the support for film technology including tax credits. Through the analysis of patents and research papers, recent issues have shown that Virtual Reality, HMD, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data are applied to film technology. Next, the survey results of Korean film technology level for filmmakers were 70% for production, 47.5% for distribution, and 60.3% for screening comparing to the level of the leading country. The gap was caused by the lack of funds for research and development and insufficient government support policies. In addition, interviews with film makers revealed the need to support filmmaking that combines technologies such as localized film technology, artificial intelligence, and deep learning. Finally, it is suggested that technology sharing platform should be developed in the future through the discussions of technology, science and academic experts', and technology development should be carried out in the field. As a result, film technology R&D should be promoted in order to develop technologies specific to movies. Advanced technology foundation for the growth of film technology should be developed to systematically equip the infrastructures such as education and human resources. In addition, technology development that links standardization should be carried out. In this study, we propose the development of Korean film technology to prepare for the 4th Industrial Revolution, and it is expected that the 2022 film technology power nation will be realized.
Purpose - The logistics industry is often featured by its location relevance and industrial concentration. Industrial concentration is conducive to the effective transmission of information by reducing transaction costs and improving transaction efficiency, thus promoting the development of trade. The main purpose of this paper is to measure the spatial total factor productivity and location quotient of the logistics industry in Korea, and to study the impact of the logistics industry efficiency and agglomeration effect on import and export trade in Korea. Design/methodology - First, used the spatial stochastic frontier method to measure the spatial total factor productivity of the logistics industry in Korea, this serves as the efficiency index of the logistics industry in various regions of Korea. Second, calculated the location quotient (LQ) of the logistics industry to measure the industry's concentration degree. Third, employed a spatial econometric model to analyze the impacts of factors such as the efficiency and concentration levels of the logistics industry on import and export trade in Korea. Findings - This study's main findings can be summarized as follows: this study found that the overall efficiency of the logistics industry in Korea needs to be improved, even though it showed an upward trend in all regions of the country; Moreover, the agglomeration level of Korea's logistics industry needs to be improved; Finally, the positive spatial correlation and industrial agglomeration effect of Korea's logistics industry had a positive impact on the country's import and export trade. Originality/value - This study is innovative in terms of research perspective and methods. Most of the previous studies have measured the development level of the logistics industry using the logistics performance index (LPI), Fewer studies have assessed through the spatial total factor productivity and location quotient of the logistics industry in Korea to measure the efficiency index of the logistics industry in various regions of Korea and concentration degree, as well as there was almost no study on the impact of logistics industry efficiency and agglomeration effect on import and export trade in Korea. This study addresses this limitation by analyzing the impacts of the efficiency and agglomeration effect of the logistics industry on import and export trade in Korea.
Background: Korea's health screening program has been faced the need for changes as the population and diseases structure are changing. In addition to Korea, many countries operate state-led health check-up programs to improve the health level of the people, and the operating methods of the program appear in various forms according to each country's health insurance system. This study examines other state-led health screening programs and proposes a direction for the development of Korea's health screening program. Methods: The study was conducted using the literature review method, and the "country" was set as a unit for the case analysis. The operating method of the health screening programs and the financial resources were compared according to the health insurance system. Five countries were selected as Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Taiwan. Results: The analyzed countries mainly operate the health screening program as a management method for chronic diseases, but there were differences in the operating method, financing, and targeted subjects and examination items. In most countries, a risk assessment was performed prior to the examination (screening), and the subjects who needed the examination were first selected, and a follow-up management service was provided in accordance with the risk each individual exposed. Conclusion: Rather than applying the same screening method to populations with different risk levels, a health screening program will be constructed in consideration of the individual's health level and exposure risk, and the healthcare delivery system will be reorganized so that screening and treatment services can be linked.

The use of CT examinations is increasing rapidly and radiation dose from CT examinations is much higher than other diagnostic radiography examinations including general radiography and mammography. DRLs used to optimize the radiation dose of patients by diagnostic radiology in each country. The objective of this study was to investigate and to analyze the status of DRLs from CT examinations in domestic and other countries. In other countries, DRLs were set for each age group and each examination considering the medical situation of each country. In Korea, DRLs were set for adults and children in 2017. For adults, DRLs were set for 13 examinations. Reported DLP values were 1119, 297, $472mGy{\cdot}cm$ for head, chest and abdomen pelvis examination, respectively. For children, DRLs were set for head examinations. Reported DLP values were 298 (0~1 years), 404 (2~5 years), 494 (6~10 years), 1,088 (11~15 years) $mGy{\cdot}cm$. DRLs of Korea were similar to other countries for head examinations. For chest examinations and abdomen pelvis examinations were relatively lower than other countries. As a major reason for relatively low radiation dose, it is considered to contribute the activity and management of medical radiation safety at national level.
