다중 분류기의 판정단계 융합에 의한 얼굴인식 (Multi-classifier Decision-level Fusion for Face Recognition)

  • 얼굴인식 기술은 지능형 보안, 웹에서 콘텐츠 검색, 지능로봇의 시각부분, 머신인터페이스 등, 활용이 광범위 하다. 그러나 일반적으로 대상자의 표정과 포즈 변화, 주변의 조명 환경과 같은 문제가 있으며 이와 더불어 원거리에서 획득한 영상의 경우 저해상도를 비롯하여 블러와 잡음에 의한 영상의 열화 등의 여러 가지 어려움이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 포톤 카운팅(Photon-counting) 선형판별법(Linear Discriminant Analysis)을 이용한 다중 분류기(Classifier)에 의한 판정을 융합하여 얼굴 영상 인식을 수행한다. Fisher 선형판별법은 집단 간 분산을 최대로 하고 집단 내 분산을 최소로 하는 공간으로 선형 투영하는 방법으로, 학습영상의 수가 적을 경우 특이행렬 문제가 발생하지만 포톤카운팅 선형 판별법은 이러한 문제가 없으므로 차원축소를 위한 전 처리 과정이 필요 없다. 본 논문의 다중 분류기는 포톤 카운팅 선형판별법의 유클리드 거리(Euclidean Distance) 또는 정규화된 상관(Normalized Correlation)을 적용하는 판정규칙에 따라 구성된다. 다중분류기의 판정의 융합은 각 분류기 cost의 정규화(Normalization), 유효화(Validation), 그리고 융합규칙(Fusion Rule)으로 구성된다. 각 분류기에서 도출된 cost는 같은 범위로 정규화된 후 유효화 과정에서 선별되고 Minimum, 또는 Average, 또는 Majority-voting의 융합규칙에 의하여 융합된다. 실험에서는 원거리에서 획득한 효과를 구현하기 위하여 고해상도 데이터베이스 영상을 인위적으로 Unfocusing과 Motion 블러를 이용하여 열화하여 테스트하였다. 실험 결과는 다중분류기 융합결과의 인식률은 단일분류기보다 높다는 것을 보여준다.

  • This paper presents a goal-programming (GP) model for management decision-making for sugarcane fertilizer mix problems. Sensitivity analysis on the priority structure of the goals has been performed to obtain all possible solutions. The study uses Euclidean distance function to measure distances of all possible solutions from the ideal solution. The optimum solution is determined from the minimum distance between the ideal solution and other possible solutions of the problem. The optimum solution corresponds to the appropriate priority structure of the problem in the decision-making context. furthermore, the results obtained from sensitivity analysis on the cost of combination of fertilizers confirm the priority structure.

매개변수기법을 이용한 고속철도 노반공사의 개략공사비 예측모델 (Conceptual Cost Estimation Model Using by a Parametric Method for High-speed Railroad)

  • 고속철도 기본계획단계에서 노반공사의 토공사 공사비 추정은 단위길이당 공사비(원/km)를 활용하고 있다. 이 단가는 과거자료를 기준으로 한 산술평균으로 오차가 클 수 있으며, 기본설계 단계 등 다음단계의 견적과 연계성이 부족한 단점이 있다. 본 연구는 철도연장에 토공사의 기술적 특성인 지질조건을 추가하는 매개변수 기반 개략공사비 산정모델을 제시한다. 데이터분석은 회귀분석법을 적용하였으며, 독립변수는 길이, 지질(토사, 풍화암, 연암, 경암) 구성 비율이고, 36개 공구 실적공사비를 참조하였다. 개발된 모델은 실적공사비와 비교한 결과 -0.4% ~ +31% 범위로 나타나, 전형적 범위인 -30% ~ +50% 이내이므로 유효한 것으로 판정한다. 본 모델은 공사비 영향의 주요요인인 길이에 기술적 특성인 지질요건을 추가함으로써 공사비 산정결과의 신뢰도 향상을 꾀함으로써 단계별 효과적 총사업비관리, 재정지출 감소 및 사업의 경제성 확보에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

이륜차 무단변속장치의 구동풀리와 종동풀리의 축간거리 해석 (Analysis of Axial Distance Between Driving and Driven Pulley of a Motorcycle CVT)

  • Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) consists of a driving pulley and a driven pulley joined by rubber V-belt. Each pulley consists of a fixed flange and a movable flange. The main advantages of the U with V-belt, which has been Popular in Asia, are a simple mechanism less maintenance and low cost. One of the important factors which have an influence on the performance of the CVT is change of axial distance. Base on an experiment the effects of transfer torque and speed ratio of both driving pulley and driven pulley during the alteration of axial distance were studied.

  • This study proposes a fuzzy inventory model for managing large-scale production, incorporating cost considerations. The model accounts for two types of expenditure scenarios-parametric and exponential. Uncertainty surrounds holding costs, setup costs, and demand rates. The approach considers a supply chain system with a complex manufacturing process, factoring in transportation costs based on the quantity of goods and distance between the supplier and retailer. The initial crisp model is then transformed into a fuzzy simulation, incorporating specific fuzzy variables affecting inventory costs. The proposed method significantly reduces overall inventory costs for the entire supply chain. Retailer demand is linked to inventory levels, and vendor/distributor storage deteriorates over time. The fuzzy condition assumes hexagonal variables for all associated factors. The study employs the signed distance method for defuzzification to determine the optimal order quantity with hexagonal fuzzy numbers. Mathematical examples are provided to illustrate the practicality of the proposed approach.

전시 군수반응시간 최소화를 위한 복수 순회구매자 문제 (The Multiple Traveling Purchaser Problem for Minimizing Logistics Response Time in Wartime)

  • It's strongly needed to minimize the logistics response time for supporting military operations in wartime. In this paper, we suggest the ILP formulation for minimizing logistics response time in wartime. Main structure of this formulation is based on the traveling purchaser problem(TPP) which is a generalized form of the well-known traveling salesman problem(TSP). In the case of general TPP, objective function is to minimize the sum of traveling cost and purchase cost. But, in this study, objective function is to minimize traveling cost only. That's why it's more important to minimize traveling cost(time or distance) than purchase cost in wartime. We find out optimal solution of this problem by using ILOG OPL STUDIO(CPLEX v.11.1) and do the sensitive analysis about computing time according to number of operated vehicles.

공항포장용 순환골재의 처리방법별 경제성 분석 (Cost Analysis of Recycled Aggregate Production on Airport Pavement)

  • PURPOSES : This study aimed to analyze economic effect of recycled aggregate production on job-site airport pavement. METHODS : The validation of site recycling for waste concrete as economic efficiency is analyzed through the case study of site recycling at an O airport pavement construction. The break-even point for the cost of site recycling was estimated according to two different waste concrete processing methods such as job-site recycling and processing on commission (or plant). RESULTS : Job-site recycling cost decreases as the use rate of job-site recycled concrete aggregate increases, or the amount of concrete waste increases, but transporting distance decreases. It was shown in an O airport case that as the use rate of job-site recycled concrete aggregate exceeds 61.4 %, the job-site recycling cost is cheaper than the processing cost on commission. CONCLUSIONS : The results of this study can utilize basic data of feasibility for site recycling of waste concrete on airport pavement construction.

  • This paper propose a method determining life cycle for military vehicle using availability analysis. Many studies determining life cycle for military equipments have been done recently However, those studies focused on economic life such as average system cost method, equivalent annual cost method and cumulative operations cost method. In many case, those results are not appropriate in deciding replacement in the field situation, we consider an effective life cycle method using availability concept. In order to determine an equipment life cycle. Two kinds of availability is considered. One is equipment yearly availability, the other is operational availability with operating distance per year. The life cycle is determined by achieving unit target availability level. The result using this concept for K­511 military vehicle life cycle is about 19 years, which is longer than previous studies.

HSDI 경유승용차 도입의 경제적 효과분석 (Effect of Economic Analysis an Introduction HSDI Diesel Passenger Cars)

  • 본 연구는 경유승용차(HSDI 경유엔진) 도입에 대해 소비자 측면, 사회적 측면의 경제적 효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 먼저, 생애비용을 고려한 소비자 경제성분석 결과 승용차 수명 10년, 연간 평균 주행거리를 20.000km로 가정할 때 승용차 1대당 연료비 절감액은 13,836천원으로 추정된다. 사회적 편익은 평균 주행거리 20,000km 기준 경유승용차 관매 10% 증가 전제시 휘발유 승용차 대비 2002년부터 이익이 실현되기 시작하여 2010년에 1,541억원의 편익이 발생하는 것으로 추산된다. 사회적 누적편익은 판매량 10% 증가 가정시 20,000km 주행시 2010년까지 6,368억원의 편익이 발생할 것으로 보인다.

Development of Cost-Effective Platform for Tracking and Analysis of Animal Ambulatory Patterns

  • This paper reports the development of a platform for tracking and analysis of animal locomotion. The platform is composed of a commercial webcam, a metal stand for the webcam, and a plastic bathtub as a cage. Using it, researchers can track and analyze an animal's movement within the plastic bathtub's dimensions of $100cm{\times}100cm{\times}55cm$ in a cost-effective manner. After recording the locomotion of an animal with $1920{\times}1080$ resolution at a rate of 30 frames per second, finding the position of the animal in each frame and analyzing the ambulation pattern were executed with custom software. To evaluate the performance of the platform, movements of imprinting control region mice and transgenic mice were recorded and analyzed. The analysis successfully compared velocity, moving pattern, and total moving distance for the two mouse groups. In addition, the developed platform can be used not only in simple motion analysis but also in various experimental conditions, such as a water maze, by easy customization of the platform. Such a simple and cost-effective platform yields a powerful tool for animal ambulatory analysis.
