The main purpose of this study is to analyse economic feasibility of low-carbon-oriented trawl gear. The results of benefit/cost analysis showed that use of the low-carbon fishing gear is economically feasible. Considering the fuel saving and relatively low $CO_2$ emission by reducing the resistance of gear, net present value by such gear improvement was estimated about 2,430~2,853 million won with the benefit-cost ratio 1.65~1.84 and the internal rate of return 29.18~30.48 percent. Development of low-carbon trawl gear would render significant contributions to reducing $CO_2$ emission in fishing operations and lead to reduce fishing costs due to fuel savings.

We apply for the first time a low cost and loss wafer level packaging technology for RF-MEMS device. The proposed structure was simulated by finite element method (FEM) tool (HFSS of Ansoft). S-parameter measured of the package shows the return loss (S11) of 20dB and the insertion loss (S21) of 0.05dB.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic feasibility of the construction of a new ecological park, based on the case of a plan in Yeongcheon City. For fulfilling the purpose of this study, questionnaire survey was conducted in Yeongcheon City. Based on the survey data, cost-benefit analysis is conducted. For this study, costs and benefits of the project are estimated. Then, using NPV, IRR, and B/C ratio criteria, cost-benefit analysis for this study is conducted. from the empirical cost-benefit analysis, NPV of the proposed project is estimated at 5,420 million Won, IRR is estimated at 12.16%, and B/C ratio is estimated at 1.44. Thus, it is found that the construction of a new ecological park in this area would be feasible from the economic point of view.

This study is to examine the effect of layoff on shareholders' wealth. Firms make layoff decisions by reason of cost cutting, lower performance, demand decline, restructuring. Therefore, I think that stock market responds to layoff positively, since the firm's labor productivity and profitability is improved after execution of layoff, I find that layoff variables effect on abnormal return positively in regression analysis. This means that layoff sends positive signal to the stock market for the firm's future performance. Therefore, layoff has a good effect on shareholders' wealth.

IT 투자는 기업의 일반적인 투자와는 달리 직접적인 효과를 계량화하기 어려운 부분이 있기 때문에 재무적 측정지표만으로 IT 투자의 성과를 제대로 평가 할 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문은 IT 투자와 그 투자에서 얻어지는 비재무적 효과를 포함한 효과를 화폐가치로 변환 후 투자수익률을 분석하는 방법론을 제시한다. 이 방법론은 IT 소유비용을 체계적으로 분석해서 가시적 인 비용뿐만 아니라 숨겨진 비용도 파악한다. 또한 IT투자로 인한 재무적인 효과와 비재무적인 효과를 화폐가치화 하여 IT ROI를 산출한다. 본 논문은 정보시스템이 기업의 활동에 기여하는 효과를 객관적인 타당성을 확보하여 IT투자 의사결정을 도와주고, IT 투자우선순위를 보다 합리적으로 결정할 수 있어 효율적인 IT투자가 이루어질 수 있는 체계를 제시한다.

Performance of public hospitals is difficult to define and measure because not only their managerial or financial performance but also their role as a public entity is important. The purpose of this paper is to examine the internal and external factors that influence the performance of local government hospitals. A multiple regression was performed to analyze the effects of the environmental, organizational, operational, and cost-related factors on the return on total assets(ROA), operating margin(OM), and the ratio of Medicaid patients. Empirical results show that financial performance (ROA and OM) are more influenced by operational or cost-related factors, while the ratio of Medicaid patients is more affected by environmental or organizational characteristics. It is noteworthy that competition and the contract with private sector management have negative effects on the ratio of Medicaid patients that local government hospitals treat.

Feasibility which is complimented before Social Overhead Capital Project and National Policy Project is analyzed by economic and political benefits. The projects will be performed if the benefits are bigger than the project cost. In this study, feasibility was examined at various viewpoints on sewer rehabilitation projects implemented with private capitals. To achieve the feasibility analysis, the B/C (Benefit/Cost Ratio), IRR (Internal Rate of Return) and the returns ratio of the Build Transfer Lease project implemented in 2007 at W city were estimated. At the same time, the correlation with B/C and benefit sensitivity of concessionary rate fluctuation were analyzed to evaluate the efficiency and feasibility of the seven sewer rehabilitation projects promoted by a local autonomous entity.

There are many exclusive freight cars in railway freight transportation system. Gondola is one kind of freight cars. Gondolas have a role to carry bulk-type cargo such as coals and ores. A few problems are occurring due to exclusive freight cars. Operation company has redundant freight cars because exclusive freight cars can carry limited items. And purchasing cost of freight cars is higher and higher because of irregular bid. Operation efficiency of gondola is very low because return time of gondola is much longer than that of container car. In this study, we analysed the introduction effect of hopper-type container for through transit. First, we identified the characteristics of spatial distribution on freight stations. And we provided the effect of hopper-type container in terms of operation efficiency, cost reduction, new demand excavation and image enhancement of eco-friendly railroad.
