  • The ultrasonic horn used for bonding of flip chip has been designed to vibrate at a natural frequency. The ultrasonic horn must be manufactured accurately in physical terms, because the small change of mechanical properties may result in the significant change of natural frequency. Therefore, tight tolerance is inevitable to keep the natural frequency in acceptable range. However, since tightening of the tolerance increases the manufacturing cost significantly, trade-off between the cost and accuracy is necessary. In this research, an attempt was made to design the ultra sonic horn within acceptable natural frequency while the manufacturing cost was kept as low as possible. For this purpose, among the 18 tolerances of physical terms of the ultrasonic horn, the most important 4 factors were selected using Taguchi method. The equation to relate those main factors and the natural frequency was made using response surface method. Finally, optimal design scheme for minimum manufacturing cost without a loss of performance was determined using SQP method.

  • The initial planned annual cost is frequently adjusted under the construction process in construction projects. If the annual cost is reduced than the initial planned cost, the number of possible activities is also reduced from initial planned progress schedule. In such cases, project manager need to replan the progress schedule with possible activities within changed annual cost. However, most project manager will proceed as planned schedule without any change. After the project cost has been exhausted, there are many cases to stop the operation of the construction site. This study developed active 5D CAD system that can replan the progress schedule within changed annual cost and simulate the cost status according to the changed schedule for cost visualization. This system can be used as a decision-making tool in the replaning progress schedule and will be able to increase the practical usability of 5D CAD system.

Pre-survey period was 2013.03.11 ~ 03.30(2 weeks), and post-survey period was 2013.09.03 ~ 09.17(2 weeks). Result: We improved this way through the computational improvement, conservation campaigns, inventory management, staff training, replaced by low-cost medical supplies. The finding of this study were as follows: Comparing before and after the activity of outpatient nursing staff's degree of knowledge, performance, economic consciousness, the degree of knowledge, performance was increased, but there was no significant change in economic consciousness. Performance of Married person is higher than the unmarried, In addition, the high-position people were more the degree of knowleage, economic consciousness. After activity, correlation of goods and treatment, examinations is increasing, but statistically there was no mean. Conclusion: This study revealed that knowledge in a short period of activity, but also can improve, perform the same change in behavior is not easy. This one shows the intensive training required to sustained and systematic behavioral changes, such as changes in behavior, perform rituals to help the economy. Expensive medical supplies to replace a similar effect as the cost of materials just to have a lot of cost savings. Therefore, more medical supplies change is necessary to develop alternative treatment and cost cutting.

  • With the efforts to development of renewable energy technologies, and increasing awareness to environmental issues, the usage of wood pallets has been increasing every year since the introduction of wood pallet technology to the domestic market. until 2009, majority usage of pellet boiler was in the residential houses. In an effort to increase the distribution of wood pellet boiler to cultivation facilities with high usage of fuels, The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has launched a distribution project of wood pellet boiler for fuel usage as a part of the agricultural and fishery energy efficiency projects. Although only small number of farms with a heat-culturing facility have replaced from conventional boiler to pellet boiler. Although part of reason for low usage of pallet boiler is lack of understanding and information of it, the main reasons are high initial cost and uncertainty of its cost efficiency. Also, most people from agricultural industry don't realize it's significance in terms of environmental benefit due to lack of understanding in 'resource circulation' and 'adopting to climate change'. In this study, first, we did a cost-efficiency analysis of the farm which uses a diesel boiler to grow cucumber, tomato, paprika. Then we replaced the diesel boiler to a pallet boiler and measured its cost-efficiency again. By comparing the cost-efficiency of the diesel boiler with the pellet boiler, we analyzed the economic viability of pellet boiler. Then we analyzed viability of pallet boiler usage in terms of 'resource circulation' and 'adopting to climate change'. As a result of our analysis, we have found out that under the current system of government support, the energy usage varies depends of the types crops grown and the higher the energy use, the more cost efficient it is to use the pallet boiler. Also, it is economically viable to use the pallet boiler in terms of 'resource circulation' and 'adopting to climate change'.

  • A contingency model of outsourcing is developed from the information systems (IS) literature and strategic management literature in order to assess the following question: What factors influence change in the extent to which an organization outsources IS functions? Based on the literature, this study identifies four IS factors-gaps in information quality, IS support quality, IS staff quality, and IS cost effectiveness-and three organizational factors-the gap in financial performance, strategic orientation, and the role of information technology in an organization-that influence the change in degree of outsourcing. These factors are hypothesized to influence the change in the extent of an organization's outsourcing of IS functions. From a mail survey of 188 top IS executives in U.S. companies, the results of analysis of covariance and bivariate correlational and multivariate regression analyses provide the following major findings: (a) This study found support for the proposed research model. (b) The change in the degree of IS outsourcing is determined by gaps in information quality, IS support quality, IS cost effectiveness, and financial performance and by the role of IT among IS and organizational factors.

  • The importance of secure communication between only legitimate group members in ad hoc networks has been growing in recent years. Due to the ad hoc nature the scalability on dynamic membership change is a major concern. However, the previous models require at least O(log n) communication cost for key update per each membership change, which imposes a heavy burden on the devices. In this paper we present a scalable model that supports communication-efficient membership change in ad hoc networks by exclusionary keys and RSA functions. The multicast cost for key update is extremely low, that is O(1) , and one-to-one communications occur mostly in neighboring devices.

  • This study presents a single machine scheduling algorithm to minimize total cost(lateness cost, earliness cost and failure cost) by controlling machining speed. Generally, production scheduling uses the information of process planning and machining speed is not changed at production scheduling. And failure cost is not consider for scheduling algorithm. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to consider the change of machining speed for efficient production scheduling. And performance criteria for algorithm considers total cost. Especially, failure cost of product by increasing machining speed is considered.

  • This paper presents the optimal network configuration for electric stations using HOMER software. For the given data such as annual average wind speed and grid costs, this software calculates the NPC(Net Present Cost), operating cost and COE(Cost of Energy). Based on these simulation results, it is possible to find the optimal network configuration for electric stations depending on the grid cost and average wind speed. When the rising grid cost is considered, it is essential to use grid and renewable energy together. Depending on the increase of the grid cost, NPC of the configuration using renewable energy and grid can be gradually getting smaller than NPC of the configuration using only grid.
