냉동 건조 탈회 동종골 이식시 조직 접착제가 골 치유 과정에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF EFFECTS OF THE FIBRIN ADHESIVE ON BONE FORMATION PROCESS AFTER FREEZE DRIED DEMINERALIZED ALLOGENEIC BONE GRAFTS)

  • Allogeneic bone grafting has recently been used in oral and maxillofacial regions to restore the cosmetic and functional problem. There are several types of allogeneic bone grafts ; bone powder, bone chips, bone blocks. Empirically, it is thought to be better to combine the allogeneic bone chips to any type of tissue adhesive not to displace during packing and condensing. But, there are no reports about using tissue adhesive in allogeneic bone grafting. This experimental study is designed to investigate the effect of the fibrin adhesive on bone healing process after demineralized allogeneic bone grafting in 60 rats. In control groups (30 rats), routine demineralized allogeneic bone grafting were done in 7 ${\times}$ 7mm calvarial bone defects which were drilled intentioally. And we used the fibrin adhesive for holding the bone particle in experimental groups (30 rats). Each experimental specimen was sacrified at 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks postoperatively The results were as follows : 1. The degree of inflammatory cell infiltrations were more prominent in experimental than in control groups till 2 weeks. 2. Early fibroblast proliferation and new capillary proliferation were uncorporated around graft sites in the experimental groups later than in control groups at early stages. 3. Osteoblastic activity in control group was more prominent at 2 weeks. 4. Osteoblastic activity in experimental groups was more prominent than in control group till 4 weeks. 5. New bone formation was more in control group than experimental group till 3 weeks, but similar appearance after that time. As above results, initial bone healing within 2 weeks were more processed in without adhesive group than with adhesive group. But above 4 weeks; similar bone healing were observed.

나노베시클 표면처리 분체의 개발연구 (The Study of Nano-vesicle Coated Powder)

  • 화장품에서 색조 화장품 분야에서 분체의 함유율이 높은 투웨이케익, 팩트, 페이스파우더와 같은 파우더류 제품은 함유되는 분체의 물성이 품질에 큰 영향 인자로 작용하기 때문에 분체의 복합화, 금속비누 처리, 아미노산처리, 실리콘처리, 불소 처리등을 통한 품질 향상을 목적으로 표면처리가 시도되어 왔다. 위와 같은 파우더류 제품중에 투웨이케익은 커버력이 가장 요구되는 제품으로서 부착성이나 퍼짐성과 같은 부가품질의 동시 구현이 다른 파우더류 제품보다 어려우며, 화장을 두껍게 느끼거나 답답하다는 사용자들의 잠재불만도 존재하는 제품군이다. 본 연구는 투웨이케익 제품의 중요품질인 부착성과 퍼짐성을 향상시키고, 친화성을 충분히 고려한 새로운 표면처리 방법으로서 피부성분과 구조를 모사하여, 스킨케어에 주로 사용하는 성분들로 나노베시클을 제조하여 그 구조를 파괴하지 않은 상태로 표면 처리하는 방법에 대한 것이다. 분체를 제조하기 위해 먼저, 레시친, 세라마이드, 초산토코페롤, 부틸렌글리롤을 사용하여 고압.유화로 나노유화물을 제조하였고, 이것을 수상에 분산된 체질안료 분산액에 투입, 2가 금속염 용액을 투입한 후, 여과, 건조과정을 통해 나노베시클이 피복된 새로운 기능의 분체를 얻었다. 피복되는 공정에서는 금속염의 농도에 따라 피복량이 결정됨을 확인하였고, 피복된 파우더의 물성에서는 현재 주로 사용하는 실리콘 처리체질안료에 비해 본 연구를 통해 제조된 파우더의 마찰계수가 낮았으며, 외력에 의한 부착성 평가에서도 파우더의 이탈량이 적은 결과를 나타내었다. 또한 이를 함유한 투웨이케익과 함유하지 않은 투웨이케익의 평가에서도 같은 경향의 결과를 나타내었다.

A PROMISING NEW ANTI-WRINKLE INGREDIENT: Pericarpium castaneae extracts

  • Pericarpium castaneae extracts have variously potent activities, such as anti-oxidative activity and free radical scavenging activity. in vivo and in vitro studies both indicate that pericarpium castaneae extracts acts as a free radical scavenger($IC_{50}:7.6{\mu}g/ml$) stronger than gallic acid($IC_{50}:12.5{\mu}g/ml$) and ellagic acid($IC_{50}:15{\mu}g/ml$) which could prevent cutaneous UV damages and skin aging. The extracts showed a good effect as a anti-oxidant($IC_{50}:50{\mu}g/ml$). It was shown that the appearance of wrinkle in human skin was reduced by topical application of pericarpium castaneae extracts. And the treatment of human skin with the extracts increased the elasticity and moisture of the skin. We investigated the effect of the pericarpium castaneae extracts on production of extracellular matrix using cultured A431 fibroblast cells. The results indicated that the extracts had no detectable effect on collagen synthesis. But synthesis of cell adhesion protein was increased by the extracts. The results suggest that increase of cell adhesion protein synthesis by pericarpium castaneae extracts has closely related to reduction of wrinkle in skin.

Comparing the effect of a desensitizing material and a self-etch adhesive on dentin sensitivity after periodontal surgery: a randomized clinical trial

  • Objectives: This double-blind randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial evaluated the ability of a desensitizing agent and a self-etch adhesive on cervical dentin sensitivity (CDS) after periodontal surgery. Materials and Methods: Ninety hypersensitive teeth of 13 subjects were included in the study. After periodontal surgery, the teeth of each posterior sextant treated with one of the following materials: G1: Clearfil $S^3$ Bond (Kuraray Dental), G2: Gluma Desensitizer (Heraeus Kulzer), and G3: placebo (water). The sensitivity was assessed using evaporative stimuli before treatment (baseline, T0), 1 day after treatment (T1), after 1 week (T2), and 1 month (T3) according to visual analog scale (VAS). Results: Following the treatment, all the 3 groups showed significant reduction of CDS in T1 compared to T0. Reduction of CDS between T1 and T2 was observed only in G1 but there was no significant difference between T2 and T3 in this group. Although we observed a significant difference in T3 compared to T1 and T2 in G2 and G3, comparison of treatment groups in each assessment time showed a significant difference only in T3. According to paired comparison, this was due to the difference between G2 and G3. Conclusions: Dentin sensitivity following periodontal surgery will decrease spontaneously over time, but treating the sensitive teeth with Gluma Desensitizer and Clearfil $S^3$ Bond can have some benefits.

흡수 분광법을 이용한 세정 과정에서 흡착된 오일의 평가 (A Method to Determine Amount of Adsorbed Oil in Hair Washing Using Absorption Spectroscopy)

  • 두발이나 인체 세정 과정에서 일어나는 오일 흡착은 내부 성분량 변화와 컨디셔닝 기능에 큰 영향을 준다. 본 연구에서는 오일을 흡착재에서 직접 검출하여 편리하게오일량을 정량할 수 있는 흡수 분광 평가법을 개발하였다. 먼저, 오일 흡착량에 영향을 미치는 코아세르베이트 함량을 판단하기 위해서 음이온과 양쪽성 계면 활성제간 몰비율에 따른 코아세르베이트 함량을 조사하였다. 이 데이터를 활용하여 오일 흡착량 평가에 가장 적합한 오일 점도값을 확보하였고 세정제의 계면활성제간 몰비 조정 등을 통해 모발 대체 흡착재와 흡착 및 용출에 필요한 가장 최적의 방법을 확립하였다. 이렇게 확립한 평가법으로 자외선 흡광도가 있는 오일을 자외선 흡광도가 없는 실리콘 같은 오일 대신 배합해서 흡착시키고 용출시킨 후 흡수 분광법으로 오일 흡착량을 정량 계산해 본 결과를 HPLC의 질량분석과 AFM을 이용한 점착력 결과와 비교하였다. 오일 흡착에 영향을 미치는 요인인 양이온 폴리머를 다르게 하고 복합 폴리머를 사용해 본 결과 본 평가법이 모든 오일의 흡착량 평가에 적용할 수 있음을 입증하였다.

악안면 보철용 실리콘의 물리적 특성 및 색조안정성에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES AND COLOR STABILITY OF MAXILLOFACIAL PROSTHETIC SILICONE MATERIAL)

  • Extraoral maxillofacial prostheses are essential for restoring facial structures that are lost as a result of congenital missing, injuries from accidents, surgical treatments of head and neck cancer. Recently, silicone is the most useful material for this purpose and is more advantageous than other maxillofacial prosthetic materials. However, there are some problems for long-term usage of silicone prostheses due to tear and color change. These are major contributing environmental factors to those problems that are such as ultraviolet light, cleansing agents, changes in humidity and successive adhesion and removal. The aim of this study is to evaluate the physical properties and color changes of maxillofacial prosthetic silicone material by those environmental factors using A-2186 silicone material (Factor II, USA) and two pigments, cadmium yellow medium and cosmetic red. Aluminium molds were fabricated according to the ASTM No. D412 & D624 specifications and resulted specimens from molds were fabicated and treated as follows. Control group and experimental I group were fabricated with 0.1% wt. pigment mixing in silicone elastomer and II-1 group, II-2 group of experimental II group were fabricated with 0.2%, 0.3% wt. pigment mixing in silicone elastomer, respectively. Control group was kept in darkroom at room temperature, I-1 group was kept under natural sunlight during 1week, I-2 group was soaked in 20% soap water during 1wk. I-3 group was successively adhered and removed 200 times on inner region of arm using Daro adhesive-33. Experimental II groups were kept in darkroom at room temperature. Instron universal testing machine was used to measure the % elongation, tensile strength, tear strength of control, experimental I, II groups and reflectance spectrophotometer(COLOR EYE-3000, Macbeth, USA) was used to measure the color differences between control group and experimental I group. The results were as follows : 1. When compared with control group, natural weathering group and 20% soap-water soaking group had no significant differences in % elongation(p>0.05). 2. 200 times successive adhesion and removal group, 0.2% wt. pigment group and 0.3% wt. pigment group had significant decreases in % elongation(p<0.05). 3. Natural weathering group, 20% soap-water soaking group and 200 times successive adhesion and removal group had no significant differences in tensile strength (p>0.05). 4. 0.2%, 0.3% wt. pigment groups had significant decreases in tensile strength(p<0.05). 5. Values of all experimental groups were decreased in tear strength. and 200 times successive adhesion and removal group had significant decrease in tear strength(p<0.05). 6. Natural weathering group and 20% soap-water soaking group had significant color differences(${\Delta}E$) and it could be detectable to naked eye(p<0.05). 7. Color differences between control group and 200 times adhesion and removal group were not detectable to the naked eye (${\Delta}E<1.0$).

모발의 마찰계수를 통한 모발 손상 인식 연구 (A Study for Perception of Hair Damage Using Friction Coefficient of Human Hair)

  • 염색과 같이 산화제를 이용한 미용은 모발의 큐티클 구조를 바꾸거나 단백질 변성 및 지질의 소실을 야기하여 모발을 손상시킨다. 본 연구에서는 모발 손상 변화를 기기 평가를 통해 마찰계수를 측정하고 이것이 소비자들의 손상 인지와 상관성이 있는지 알아보고, 더 나아가 손상 원인을 수분 변화에서 찾아 분석 하였다. 염색, 펌, 탈색 과정을 모발에 반복할 때 마찰계수를 측정한 결과 염색의 경우는 3 회 처리에서 마찰계수 0.60을 기록했는데, 일반인들을 대상으로 동일 모발에 대한 촉감에 의한 손상 인지 조사에서 응답자의 58%가 이 모발에서 처음으로 손상을 인지한다고 답하였다. 탈색의 경우 3 회 처리에서 마찰계수가 0.84 로 크게 변하였는데 응답자의 88%가 손상모로 인지하였다. 지질 소실을 통한 손상에 따른 인지를 알아보기 위하여 모발 표면의 18-methyleicosanoic acid (18-MEA)를 제거해가며 마찰계수를 인위적으로 높인 다양한 모발을 제작하였다. 이 경우 마찰계수가 0.60 인 모발부터 전체 응답자의 68%가 최초로 손상을 인식한다고 답하였다. 기기평가로 확인된 마찰계수와 이와 연관되는 손상 인지가 모발에서 가장 많은 양을 차지하는 수분으로부터 기여되는지 확인하기 위하여 손상모의 수분함량을 측정하였다. 염색 처리 횟수가 증가할수록 모발의 접촉각이 감소하며 모발이 친수성으로 변함을 확인하였는데, 실제로 염색 손상모가 건강한 모발보다 0.42% 더 많은 수분량을 가짐을 유의차 있게 확인하였다. 최종적으로는 손상 모발의 수분량 증가가 마찰계수와 비례하는 점착력 증가를 유도하며 마찰계수가 0.60 이상으로 증가할 때 손상 인지가 됨을 알아보았다.
