환경적 요인에 의한 노후 가공송전선의 특성변화 (Change of Properties by Environment Conditions in Aged ACSR Overhead Conductor)

  • This paper describes mechanical and electric properties of ACSR $410\;mm^2$ conductor from many of older overhead conductor. Samples of conductors itemized two division according to operation sector, green area, salt and pollution area. Samples of conductors operated various environment conditions have undergone laboratory metallurigical investigation and tensile strength torsional ductility and electrical performance. The steel core were found to have retained their original properties to a large degree in both tensile strength and the number of turns to failure. On the other hand the aluminum conductor showed reductions in tensile strength. To determine the remaining useful life of aged conductor, an unacceptable deterioration level has to established for each diagnostic procedure.

고강도 저손실 가공송전선의 개발(II) - 전기적 특성 (Development of High Strength and Low Loss Overhead Conductor(II) - Electric Properties)

  • New conductor is developed by using high strength nonmagnetic steel(NM) wire as the core of overhead conductor This conductor is called ACNR overhead conductor(Aluminum Conductor Nonmagnetic Steel Reinforced). Formed by the combination of aluminum alloy wire and high strength nonmagnetic steel wire, it has about the same weight and diameter as conventional ACSR overhead conductor. To enhance properties beneficial in an electrical and mechanical conductor during the Process of high strength nonmagnetic steel wire, we made a large number of improvements and modifications in the working process, aluminum cladded method, and other process. ACNR overhead conductor, we successfully developed, has mechanical and electrical properties as good as or even better than conventional galvanized wire. Microstructure of raw material NM wire was austenite and then deformed martensite after drawing process. Strength at room temperature is about $180kgf/mm^2\~200kgf/mm^2$. The conductivity at 0.78 mm thickness of Aluminum cladded M wire is about $7\%$ IACS higher than $20\%$IACS of HC wire used as core of commercial ACSR overhead conductor. The corrosion resistance is about 3 times higher than that of HC wire.

  • According to previous report, aged sleeves for old transmission lines have various defect such as biased installation or corrosion of steel sleeve. These defects can cause serious accidents such as rapid increasing of sag or falling out of overhead conductor from sleeves. Moreover, the defects have been limited power capacity of transmission line. This paper study on mechanical and thermal behavior of ACSR $410mm^2$ conductor and sleeve with various defect model. The conductor has been aged artificially for 50 years. The detailed results were presented in the text.

  • Design and experiments of a nondestructive system to inspect deterioration of ACSR-OC (ACSR Outdoor Cross-linked Polyethylene Insulated Wire usually used in HV overhead distribution lines presented in this paper. ACSR-OC conductor built to pollutants air for a long period would be easily progress to corrode so that it may lead to the reduction of the effective cross section area of conductors. A fault diagnosis system consisting of a solenoid sensor, a constant current source with RF frequency signal processing unit and a motor driver/controller designed and implemented. This instrument can dot the sensor output variation due to deterioration corrosion, continuously. As a result, it was shown such corrosion detector can readily be utilized estimating the diameter change due to deterioration overhead distribution lines and in giving an warning or inform before severe aged conductor lead to fail.

  • According to previous report, aged sleeves of old transmission line showed several defaulted installation patterns, which was biased or corrosive-fractured of steel sleeve installed cases. These defects can cause serious accidents such as rapid increasing of sag or falling out of overhead conductor from sleeves. Consequently, the defects lead to the major power outage. Corrosion of steel sleeve is a typical defect by aging of sleeves. And it occupied almost 25 percent of investigated aged sleeves. This paper studied thermal properties and tension for ACSR conductor in case of fractured steel sleeve model by corrosion. The temperature distribution within overhead conductor has a specific gradient. Thermal properties of splice connectors(sleeve and clamp) showed normal behavior. However, mechanical properties were worse than normal sleeves. The detailed results were presented in the text.

  • The remaining life of ACSR(Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) wires exposed to the atmosphere for a long period relies on the extent of deterioration caused by environmental factors such as atmospheric corrosion, galvanic corrosion, crevice corrosion and fatigue corrosion. We investigated the tensile characteristics of ACSR wires in a coastal area through several mechanical tests, and analyzed the constituents of them using SEM(scanning electron microscope). Test samples are parts of ACSR 97[$mm^2$] overhead transmission lines in that area. The result shows that ACSR wires exposed to salt may lead to rapid mechanical deterioration.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내의 고압 가공배전선으로 일반적으로 사용되는 ACSR-OC의 열회를 검출하기 위하여, 솔레 노아드 와류센서를 가진 비파괴 검사시스템의 설계와 실험을 다루었다. ACSR-OC 도체에 대한 부식기구와 열회 상태를 검토하므로써, 부식이 도채의 유효단면적을 감소시키는 것을 확인하였다. 노화도체의 극심한 부적정도룹 검출하고 정량화하기 위한 실용적인 전기.자기적인 방법올 제시하였다. 고주파 정전류원, 신호처리 부와 모터 구동/제어기로 구생되눈 계측시스템이 설계되고 시험되었다. 이 장치는 센서의 출력을 검출하고 검사도체의 직경변화를 연속적으로 추정하는 기능을 갖고 있다. 그 결과, 와류센서를 가진 부각검출시스템은 가공 재전선의 열화에 기인한 심각한 결함을 추정하고 극심한 노호도체가 단선되기 전에 사전 경고를 하는데 양호한 효용성을 나타내는 것을 확인하였다.

  • According to previous report, aged sleeves for old transmission lines have variable defects such as biased installed case or corrosion of steel sleeve. Biased installed sleeve occupied 20 percent among the investigated aged sleeves. This defect must cause local heating of splice connector and limit power transmission capacity. It even inspire falling out of overhead conductor from sleeves. This paper studies thermal properties and tension for ACSR conductor in case of biased installed sleeve model. The detailed results were presented in the text.
