A Study of Academic Achievement and Core Competence according to University Admission Types in Nursing Students

  • In this paper, we propose to investigate the differences of academic achievement and core competence according to university admission types. Research subjects were 159 nursing students in G city. The tool used in this study was Collegiate Students Essential Skills Assessment developed by the KW University. The 6 areas measured with the tool are: humanities, Humanism, self-directedness, creative competence, practice competence and global competence. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Scheffe' test and pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS WIN 18.0 Program. There were significant differences in core competence according to university admission types. But There were significant differences in academic achievement according to university admission types. And significant positive correlation between academic achievement and core competece was not founded. But significant positive correlation of 6 core competencies were founded. Based on the result of this study, it is possible to serve basic data for establishing better university admission type.

핵심기본간호술 실습교육이 간호학생의 자기효능감과 임상수행능력, 실습만족도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Core Fundamental Nursing Skills Education on Self-efficacy, Clinical Competence and Practice Satisfaction in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to contribute to the development of efficient methods of nursing practice education by evaluating effects of core fundamental nursing skills education on self-efficacy, clinical competence and practice satisfaction in nursing students. Method: The research design was a one group pretest-posttest design and it was done to assess changes in self-efficacy and clinical competence from pre to the post-test which was given after the core fundamental nursing skills education was completed. Data were collected from September 5 to December 20, 2013 from 156 nursing students who were taking the 12-hours core fundamental nursing skills education at one university in Gyeonggi-do. This practicum was composed of 6 core fundamental nursing skills. Results: Self-efficacy and clinical competence scores improved. There was no significant difference in self-efficacy but there was a significant difference of clinical competence. In the subscales of clinical competence, the domain of nursing skill was scored the highest. The score for practice satisfaction was also high. Conclusion: The results indicate that the core fundamental nursing skills education is effective in improving clinical competence and practice satisfaction in nursing students. But new strategies are needed to improve self-efficacy.

국내 중소기업의 핵심역량과 조직성과, 그리고 기술이전의 조절효과 (The Influence of Core Competence on Organizational Performance of Domestic Small and Medium Enterprise and the Moderating Effect of Technology Transfer)

  • Technology transfer has emerged as one of me important key issues for obtaining competitive advantage. To improve the chances of effective technology transfer, a strategic alliance between partners have to mirror respective objectives. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of core competences on organizational performance in domestic companies, including the moderating effect of technology transfer. This study adopted research variables such as technology competence, resource competence, marketing competence as independent variables, with organizational performance as a dependent variable, including the moderating variable of technology transfer. 113 companies data were collected from me survey. The result of this empirical study is summarized as follows. First, marketing, resource, and technology competence are the important determinants to influence organizational performance in direct effect model. Second, only marketing competence has positive influence to organizational performance in organizations with higher needs of technology transfer. Third, technology transfer as a moderating variable moderates me effect of the core competences on organizational performance.

대학생의 핵심역량 강화를 위한 커뮤니케이션 교과목 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Developing Communication Courses to Enhance Undergraduates' Core Competence)

  • 최근 기술의 발전과 함께 문화 간 융합이 이루어지는 정보사회화 흐름 속에서 커뮤니케이션 역량의 중요성이 더욱 커지고 있다. 이에 각 대학에서 커뮤니케이션 역량을 경쟁력 있는 인재양성에 있어 꼭 필요한 핵심역량의 하나로 간주하고 이와 관련된 교육과정의 개설과 운영을 위해 노력하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대학생들의 핵심역량 강화를 위한 커뮤니케이션 교과목 개발에 관한 과정과 구체적인 콘텐츠를 제시하고 있다. 커뮤니케이션 교과목에 관한 콘텐츠에는 강의개요, 강의목표, 강의방법, 성적 평가방법, 주차별 학습주제, 학습목표, 학습내용 등이 포함되어 있다. 본 연구는 대학생들이 커뮤니케이션에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 커뮤니케이션 능력을 효과적으로 배양하여 대학생활을 하는데 있어 핵심역량을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있는 토대를 제공할 것이다. 또한 본 연구는 대학 및 사회에서 갖추어야 할 구성원의 핵심역량으로 가장 우선시 되고 있는 커뮤니케이션 역량에 대한 체계적 교육을 통해 사회적 가치를 창출할 수 있는 유능한 인재양성의 장을 마련해 줄 것이다.

  • This study tried to analyzed the relationship between core competence, satisfaction, trust and loyalty in order to suggest to a methodology for decision-making of e-trade firms. 6 hypothesis were constructed for analysis based on previous literature review. The results of empirical analysis shows that core competence gave significant effect on satisfaction, trust and loyalty, and satisfaction gave positively effect to trust and loyalty. Besides trust affected positively on loyalty. These result explains that e-trade firms which try to create customers must build high level of core competence should be realized and reacted for maintenance of created customers.

IT중소기업의 핵심역량이 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 기업가 정신과 정부지원의 조절효과 (The Influence of Core Competence on Organizational Performance of IT Small and Medium Enterprises : The Moderating Role of Entrepreneurship and Government Support)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of core competences on organizational performance in small and medium sized IT enterprises. Especially, the moderating effects of entrepreneurship and government support variables between the core competences and organizational performance were examined. To empirically prove the hypothesis, the statistical analysis were conducted based on the response from the 502 Korean domestic IT SMEs, using AMOS 18.0 and SPSS 20.0. The results of this empirical study can be summarized as follows. First, core competences (marketing, networking, and technology competence) have positive influence on organizational performance. Second, entrepreneurship and government support have moderating effects in the relationship between core competence and organizational performance. Especially, network and marketing competence appeared to be affected by more entrepreneurship than technology competence. So this paper suggests that when the R&D of SMEs and government support are properly combined, it will directly give an effect on organizational performance. The results of this research can be used for building a better government support policies and strategic planning of small and medium sized domestic IT enterprises.

Job Competence of College Students in Korea: An Expansion of Core Competence Theory

  • The purpose of this study is to find what competence determines the employment of college students using data from the K-CESA (Korea Collegiate Essential Skills Assessment) of a Korean university during 2009-2014. This test comprises of 6 categories of competence: self-management, global readiness, interpersonal relationship, resource/information/technology handling, communication and comprehensive reasoning. In addition to these competences, we add the comprehensive variable, grade point average. In order to identify the qualities of employment, employment was classified into 3 types: all employment, employment in decent jobs and employment in the top 500 companies. Results are as follows: For all employment and decent jobs, GPA and comprehensive reasoning were the meaningful variables. However in case of the top 500 companies, interpersonal relationship was added. Based on the analysis, this study suggests the fundamental concepts of college students' job competence: job specific competence, job basic competence, and basic competence.

평생교육자의 핵심역량이 성인학습자의 생애능력에 미치는 영향: 성인학습자 지혜의 매개효과를 중심으로 (Influence of Core Competencies of Lifelong Educators on the Lifetime Ability of Adult Learners: Focusing on Mediating Effect of Adult Learners' Wisdom)

  • 본 연구는 평생교육자의 핵심역량이 성인학습자의 지혜를 매개효과로 하여 생애능력에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 데 그 목적을 두었다. 본 연구 대상은 경기도에 위치한 평생교육기관에서 평생교육 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 성인학습자를 대상으로 이어졌으며, 최종적으로 총 520부가 분석에 사용 되었으며, 분석방법으로는 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 23.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 첫째, 평생교육자의 핵심역량과 성인학습자의 생애능력 및 성인학습자 지혜 간의 관계를 살펴 본 결과, 모든 변인 간 상관계수는 정적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 평생교육자의 핵심역량과 지혜가 성인학습자의 생애 능력에 미치는 영향을 살펴 본 결과, 전체적으로는 66.8%의 영향력이 있었고, 성인학습자의 생애능력에 가장 많이 미치는 변인은 성인학습자 지혜의 창의적 문제해결 이었으며, 그 다음으로는 타인배려, 변화수용, 성별 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 평생교육자의 핵심역량이 성인학습자의 생애능력에 미치는 영향에서 성인학습자 지혜의 매개효과를 살펴 본 결과, 평생교육자의 핵심역량이 성인학습자의 생애능력에 미치는 영향은 유의하지 않았으나, 성인학습자 지혜를 통해서는 영향력이 검증되어 지혜가 완전매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 종합하면 성인학습자의 생애능력에는 평생교육자의 핵심역량과 성인학습자 지혜가 중요한 변인임이 증명되었으며, 이러한 지혜는 성인학습자의 삶의 질을 높이고, 궁극적으로는 생애능력의 향상을 위한 변수임을 알 수 있다.

  • Purpose - This paper will go deep into the analysis of Korean Cultural industry development, and the result of the analysis shows that the cultural value of cultural product, competitive product lines and mature Market Mechanism are core competences of Korean Cultural industry. Research design, data, and methodology - This is a case study in the era of knowledge based economy, Cultural industry has become a new increasing point of economic development. Cultural industry, commonly regarded as an industry with high-ended value, is occupying more important role in economic development and social welfare promotion process. Results - Moreover the increasingly important role of cultural industry will hopefully help to promote industrial upgrading process and finally become a driving force for economic growth and technological innovation. During the process of cultural development, improving core competence of Cultural industry is a key consideration to help the development of Cultural industry in a positive way. Conclusions - From the study above, we find that in order to ensure sustainable development of Cultural industry, emphasis should be put on finding and improving core competence. Core competence of Korean Cultural industry is important and inspiring to the development of Chinese Cultural industry and regional integration in the East Asian area.
