스마트 하천관리를 위한 요소기술의 현황과 특성 분석 (Analysis of Present Status and Characteristics of Elementary Technologies for Smart River Management)

  • 4차 산업혁명에 따라 수자원 관리분야에서도 수문관측 및 해석 등에 4차 산업혁명 핵심 기술을 도입하고 고도화하는데 많은 노력을 기울이고 있으나 하천관리 및 운영 분야는 상대적으로 기술 열세를 보이고 있는 실정이다. 하천에서 발생하는 현상해석과 운영을 위해 다양한 스마트 기술이 개발되고 있지만 이를 실무에 효과적으로 적용하기 위한 기술 개발이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 SOC 분야의 스마트 기술 현장화 수준과 하천관리를 위한 요소기술의 현황과 특성을 분석하여 스마트하천관리를 위한 핵심기술을 도출하고 미래기술의 추진 방향을 제시하였다.

  • This study aims to study non-rechargeable wrist-type smart bands for those vulnerable to the digital environment. The transition to the digital age means improving the efficiency of human life and the convenience of management. In the digital age, it can be a very convenient infrastructure for the digital generation, but otherwise, it can cause inconvenience. COVID-19 is spreading non-face-to-face culture. The reality is that the vulnerable are complaining of discomfort in non-face-to-face culture. The core of the digital environment is smartphones. Digital life is spreading around smartphones. Technology that drives the digital environment is the core technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The technologies are lot, big data, Blockchain, Smart Mobility, and AI. Related technologies based on these technologies include digital ID cards, digital keys, and nfc technologies. Non-rechargeable wrist-type smart bands based on related technologies can be conceptualized. Through these technologies, blind people can easily access books and manage their ID cards conveniently and efficiently. In particular, access authentication is required wherever you go due to COVID-19, which can be used as a useful tool for the elderly who feel uncomfortable using smartphones. It can also eliminate the inconvenience of the elderly finding or losing their keys.

  • Purpose: In recent years, several new attempts have been made to offer products and services based on servitization and customization for comparative advantage and customer satisfaction. Apparently, these attempts are empowered by new digital technologies. Therefore, this study aims to present new business cases with features of digital transformation era in Korea on the perspective of new quality dimensions. Methods: The study approaches the subject by presenting a number of recent business cases in multiple fields in Korea. All cases are analyzed and compared with "10 Quality Dimensions" and several related implications such as servitization, customization, digitalization and differentiated value. Results: The results of this study are as follows; the common core quality dimensions of case are customization, aesthetic and convenience. Furthermore, the critical role of technology is deduced as the core quality dimensions are built on new digital technologies. Lastly, businesses in the age of digital transformation must focus on the core performance of their products and services for customer satisfaction while delivering new core quality dimensions. Conclusion: Recent digital technologies are capable to realize servitization and empower companies to provide differentiated and customized products, services, and experience to their customers. However, it is significant to retain other factors for customer satisfactions rather than customization.

  • In this paper, we introduce ETRI AI Strategy #1, "Proactively Securing AI Core Technologies." The first goal of this strategy is to innovate artificial intelligence (AI) service technology to overcome the current limitations of AI technologies. Even though we saw a big jump in AI technology development recently due to the rise of deep learning (DL), DL still has technical limitations and problems. This paper introduces the four major parts of the advanced AI technologies that ETRI will secure to overcome the problems of DL and harmonize AI with the human world: post DL technology, human-AI collaboration technology, intelligence for autonomous things, and big data platform technology.

추격에서 선도로: 탈추격체제의 기술혁신 특성 - 한국 이동전화산업 사례 연구 - (The Change of Innovation Practice in Post Catching-up Regime: the Case of Korean Mobile Phone Industry)

  • This paper examines the change of innovation practices in the Korean industry which is entering into the 'post catching-up regime'. In catching-up regime, the technological loaming practices of Korean firms could be characterized as the assimilation and improvement of foreign technologies through crisis construction and time pressure. Crisis construction and time pressure were the important factors enhancing the intensity of technological teaming and shaping the way of doing imitative innovation. But the innovation patterns of firm are changing. The new ways of doing innovation are emerging in Korean mobile phone industry which is becoming a world leader: the emphasis on the importance of technological planning, the enhancement of collaborative networks among related firms, the toleration on the failure and the effort to acquire core technologies. Though Korean firms have not developed enough capabilities to create basic core technologies, they can develop their competitiveness through creative combination of technologies and are approaching the world frontier.

반려 로봇 (Life Companion Robots)

  • This article presents the future vision and core technologies of the "Life Companion Robot," which is one of the 12 future concepts introduced in the ETRI Technology Roadmap published in November 2020. Assistant robots, care robots, and life support robots were proposed as the development stages of life companion robots. Further, core technologies for each of the ten major roles that must be directly or indirectly performed by life companion robots are introduced. Finally, this article describes in detail three major artificial intelligence technologies for autonomous robots.

국방기술기획을 위한 WBS 기반 기술 조사·분석 방법론의 효과분석 : 'A' 미사일 무기체계 중심으로 (Effect Analysis of WBS-Based Technology Research and Analysis Methodology for Defense Technology Planning : With 'A' Missile System)

  • 국방 분야의 기술기획은 무기체계 개발에 필요한 핵심기술을 식별 및 조사·분석함으로써 전력화시기를 만족하여 무기체계 개발 가능하도록 사전 확보하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 핵심기술이란, 합동군사전략목표기획서에 수록된 무기체계 또는 미래 무기체계의 국내개발 또는 생산에 필요한 고도, 첨단기술로서 선진 외국에서 개발 완료되어 기술이전을 회피하거나 국가안보차원에서 반드시 확보가 요구되는 기술을 의미한다. 과거 핵심기술개발 업무는 무기체계의 주요 작전운용성능을 기반으로 핵심기술을 도출하여 과제화하는 방식으로 수행되었으나, 이와 같은 방식으로는 주요 작전운용 성능에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않으나 체계개발 시 반드시 확보되어야하는 체계종합 기술, 기타 체계 기반기술 등을 확보 불가하다. 본 논문에서는 무기체계의 작업분할구조를 기반으로 구성품 단위에서 무기체계 개발을 위하여 반드시 확보되어야 하는 핵심기술을 식별함으로써 연구개발 시점에서의 공백기술을 방지하는 작업분할구조 기반 기술 조사·분석 방법론을 구체적으로 제안한다. 구체적인 과정은 대상무기체계 작업분할구조 구성, 각 품목별 국내개발현황 조사, 품목 기반 요소기술 도출 및 요소기술별 수준조사 실시, 무기체계 개발시점까지 기술수준이 확보되어야 하는 핵심기술 식별 단계로 구성된다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법론의 효과분석은 'A' 미사일 무기체계를 중심으로 제시한다.

Identifying Core Robot Technologies by Analyzing Patent Co-classification Information

  • This study suggests a new approach for identifying core robot tech-nologies based on technological cross-impact. Specifically, the approach applies data mining techniques and multi-criteria decision-making methods to the co-classification information of registered patents on the robots. First, a cross-impact matrix is constructed with the confidence values by applying association rule mining (ARM) to the co-classification information of patents. Analytic network process (ANP) is applied to the co-classification frequency matrix for deriving weights of each robot technology. Then, a technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is employed to the derived cross-impact matrix and weights for identifying core robot technologies from the overall cross-impact perspective. It is expected that the proposed approach could help robot technology managers to formulate strategy and policy for technology planning of robot area.

  • Telegram is an indispensible information & telecommunication system to our daily life. VTS(Voice Telegram System) under intensive research is intended to enhance exchanging capability of information & telecommunication by adding voice media to existing telegram system. Overall configuration and necessary core technologies of the system were investigated for its development. Among those many technologies in need, the technology of compressing and recording data is most critical to the development of cheap hardware. This is so called vocoder algorithm and is the core technology of voice information system. So, here, vocoder algorithm now being studied will be introduced.

  • CALS IDB (Integrated database) is one of core technologies that embodies the principle of a shared data environment for the life cycle related data in CALS environment. In this study, to successfully share the data, we first classified the data types employed in the CALS environment and then discussed the data heterogeneity issued in data integration processes. To effectively solve this heterogeneity, we proposed the federated database systems as a candidate system especially focusing on the major functions and core element technologies.
