It has been known that torrential rainfall events have been occurring worldwide due to climate change. The accelerated soil erosion has caused negative impacts on water quality and ecosystem of receiving waterbodies. Since soil security issues have been arising in various areas of the world, intensive interests have been given to topsoil management in Korea. Thus in this study, Web GIS-based computing system of physical, chemical, and biological topsoil quality indices were developed. In this study, five soil quality maps at national scale and top soil erosion potential were prepared for evaluation of soil quality based on soil erosion potential. For this system, the open source Web GIS engine, OpenGeo, was used as core engine of the system. With this system, decision makers or related personnel in areas of soil erosion Best Management Practices (BMPs) would be able to find the most appropriate soil erosion BMPs based on soil erosion potential and soil quality at the area of interest. The Web GIS system would be efficiently used in decision making processes because of ease-of-use interface and scientific data used in this system. This Web GIS system would be efficiently used because this system could provide scientific knowledge to decision makers or stakeholders. Currently various BMP database are being built to be used as a decision support system in topsoil management and topsoil quality areas.

This study was designed to develop the strategy plans for the customer satisfaction on foodservice in the senior care facilities. For this, we examined the level of the customer satisfaction and foodservice quality. Additionally, the association between service quality, customer satisfaction, and social, psychological, physical factors of the aged were tested. Data from convenience samples from 3 senior care facilities were collected by using a questionnaire. Exploratory factor analyses were completed on 20 attributes for the food and service quality and 7 items for the social and psychological states of the aged, respectively. Cronbach's a was estimated for reliability, and Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis were used for statistical analyses. The level of the satisfaction on foodservice was 4.01 of 5.0. The satisfaction on foodservice did not show the significant differences by gender, education level, BMI, and socio-psychological satisfaction. But the foodservice quality and the satisfaction showed significant difference by income and physical problem, and the goal of life of the eldely, respectively. Multiple regression analyses revealed that the determinants of the customer satisfaction on foodservice were the core quality of product, confidence, professionalism of employees and secondary quality of products. Especially, the kindness of employee is the most important attribute of the foodservice. Based on these results, we can set the strategy plans as follow: (1) the introduction of the foodservice evaluation system (2) the deployment of the event activities for offering fun to the customer (3) the continuous training of employees for ensuring the professional and kind service system, and (4) the introduction of selective menu system and take-out service of menu.

This study investigated the effect of various freezing and thawing techniques on the quality of beef. Meat samples were frozen using natural convection freezing (NF), individual quick freezing (IQF), or cryogenic freezing (CF) techniques, followed by natural convection thawing (NCT) or running water thawing (RT). The meat was frozen until the core temperature reached $-12^{\circ}C$ and then stored at $-24^{\circ}C$, followed by thawing until the temperature reached $5^{\circ}C$. Quality parameters, such as the pH, water binding properties, CIE color, shear force, and microstructure of the beef were elucidated. Although the freezing and thawing combinations did not cause remarkable changes in the quality parameters, rapid freezing, in the order of CF, IQF, and NF, was found to minimize the quality deterioration. In the case of thawing methods, NCT was better than RT and the meat quality was influence on the thawing temperature rather than the thawing rate. Although the microstructure of the frozen beef exhibited an excessive loss of integrity after the freezing and thawing, it did not cause any remarkable change in the beef quality. Taken together, these results demonstrate that CF and NCT form the best combination for beef processing; however, IQF and NCT may have practical applications in the frozen food industry.

자동차부품 유통산업은 2010년대 초반까지 제품의 매출 확대에만 집중하였을 뿐 유통 과정에서 발생되는 서비스 가치나 고객만족에 대해 큰 관심을 두지 않았다. 그러나 최근 시장 경쟁이 심화되면서 변화와 혁신이 요구됨에 따라 제품뿐만 아니라 서비스를 통한 만족, 신뢰, 충성 등 핵심 가치에 관심이 높아졌다. 이에 본 연구는 서비스품질과 고객만족, 고객신뢰, 고객충성 간의 관계를 파악하여 고객중심 서비스 마인드가 기업의 지속성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 342개의 자동차부품 대리점 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 측정모형과 구조모형은 모두 AMOS 23.0으로 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과, 서비스품질은 고객충성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 고객만족 및 고객신뢰가 서비스품질과 고객충성 사이를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 그 간 제품 품질에 관심을 두었던 자동차부품 도매점과 대리점 간에도 서비스품질이 고객만족, 신뢰와 충성을 이끌어 내는데 중요한 요소임을 밝히는데 의의가 있다. 향후 연구에서는 지역 커버리지를 확대하여 서비스품질의 다양한 케이스를 통한 분석으로 개선 및 발전하기를 기대한다.

The present water quality standards for agricultural were established without considering the effects of water quality on the safety, growth, yield and quality of crops. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of irrigation water quality on the growth, yield, and grain quality of rice, and to acquire basic knowledges to set up water quality standards for irrigation. The field and pot experiments were conducted with irrigation water that was previously adjusted four concentrations (control, 5, 10, 20 mg/L) and six concentrations (control, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 mg/L) by $NH_4NO_3$ solution and replicated three and four times with randomized block design, respectively. The results of this study showed that the inorganic nutrient of rice plant, rice protein contents and number of panicle tended to increase as the T-N concentration in irrigation water was increased. In addition, grain yield at T-N 10 mg/L and 20mg/L were significantly higher than the control at the field experiment. From the pot experiment at T-N 30 mg/L, the percentage of head rice was slightly lower due to the increase of green kernel and white belly/core kernel.

본 연구는 폐암으로 폐절제술을 시행 받은 환자에게 적용한 운동 중재를 파악하고 그 효과의 차이를 규명하기 위하여 체계적 문헌고찰 및 메타분석을 실시하였다. 국내외 전자데이터베이스를 통해 1990년부터 2016년까지 총 1,322개의 논문이 검색되었으며, 문헌 선별 과정을 통해 최종 13개의 문헌을 선정하였다. 최종적으로 925명을 대상자가 포함된 8개의 대조군이 있는 무작위 대조군(randomized controlled trial; RCT)논문와 5개의 대조군이 있는 비무작위 대조군(non-randomized controlled trial; NRCT)논문을 확인하였다. 결과변수에 대한 중재의 효과크기를 메타분석한 결과, 중재군의 건강관련 삶의 질 EORTC QOL-C13/30 (the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Core Quality of Life Questionnaire) (MD-0.50 95 % CI -0.83-0.18)과 중재군의 건강관련 삶의 질 SF-36 PCS (the Medical Outcomes 36-Item Short Form Health Survey PCS) (MD 0.75, 95 % CI 0.41-1.10)에서 대조군보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 운동 중재가 폐암으로 폐 절제술을 시행 받은 환자의 건강관련 삶의 질을 잠재적으로 향상시킬 수 있음을 시사한다.

In wireless access networks, it is extremely important to provide high quality of real time and interactive services, including voice and video traffic. Furthermore, low latency communication is shifting toward new paradigm which enhances user's high quality of experience, meeting the requirements for specific applications such as tactile internet, remote-control robot and machines, and mission critical application. In this paper, we introduce the approaches to achieve the extremely low latency service. The approaches include the core requirements and the key technologies providing low latency communication maintaining high reliability in wireless access networks.

Lactobacillus acidophilus UBLA-34, L. paracasei UBLPC-35, L. plantarum UBLP-40, and L. reuteri UBLRU-87 were isolated from different varieties of fermented foods. To determine the probiotic safety at the strain level, the whole genome of the respective strains was sequenced, assembled, and characterized. Both the core-genome and pan-genome phylogeny showed that L. reuteri was closest to L. plantarum than to L. acidophilus, which was closest to L. paracasei. The genomic analysis of all the strains confirmed the absence of genes encoding putative virulence factors, antibiotic resistance, and the plasmids.

A commercial nuclear power station contains at least two emergency diesel generates(EDG) to control the risk of severe core demage during the station blackout accidents. Therefore the reliability of the EDG's to start and load-run on demend must be maintained at a sufficiently high level. Until now, a simple assessment of start and load-run success rates was used to calculate the EDG's reliability. However, this method has been found to contain many defects. Recently, the work of Martz et al.(1996) proposed the use of the Bayes estimator to find the EDG's reliability. In this paper, we will propose confidence interval for the Bayes estimator, compare the above two methods and, using practical examples, illustrate why the Bayes estimator method is more reasonable in our situation.

The fuel assemblies as the nuclear fuel for the pressurized water reactor(PWR) are loaded in the reactor core throughout the residence time of three to five years. The spacer grid assembly, which is an interconnected array of slotted grid straps and is welded at the intersections to form an egg crate structure, is one of the main structural components of the fuel assembly. The spacer grid assembly is structurally required to have enough buckling strength under various kinds of lateral load acting on the fuel assembly so as to keep the fuel assembly straight. To meet the requirement, integrity on the spacer grid welding parts should be carefully checked. In this study, welding quality of the spacer grid assembly welded by several welding companies are examined and compared.
