  • In the multi-agent system for a single task, the action selection can be made for the real-time environment by using the global coordination space, global coordination graph and MAX-PLUS algorithm. However, there are some difficulties in multi-agent system for multi-tasking. In this paper, a real-time decision making method is suggested by using coordination space, coordination graph and dynamic coordinated state of multi-agent system including many agents and multiple tasks. Specifically, we propose locally dynamic coordinated state to effectively use MAX-PLUS algorithm for multiple tasks completion. Our technique is shown to be valid in the box pushing simulation of a multi-agent system.

  • Of the coordination structures in Korean, the symmetric and asymmetric properties of verbal coordination have challenged both theoretical and computational approaches. This paper shows how a typed feature structure grammar, HPSG, together with the notions of 'type hierarchy' and 'constructions', can provide a robust basis for parsing (un)tensed verbal coordination as well as pseudo-coordination found in the language. We show that the analysis sketched here and computationally implemented in the existing resource grammar for Korean, Korean Resource Grammar (KRG), can yield proper syntactic structures as well as enriched semantic representations for real-time applications such as machine translation.

  • A numerical trajectory planning method for path-constrained trajectory planning is proposed which ensures collision-free and time-optimal motions for two robotic manipulators with limited actuator torques and velocities. For each robot, physical constraints of the robots such as limited torques or limited rotational velocities of the actuators are converted to the constraints on velocity and acceleration along the path, which is described by a scalar variable denoting the traveled distance from starting point. Collision region is determined on the coordination space according to the kinematic structures and the geometry of the paths of the robots. An Extended Coordination Space is then constructed` an element of the space determines the postures and the velocities of the robots, and all the constraints described before are transformed to some constraints on the behaviour of the coordination-velocity curves in the space. A dynamic programming technique is them provided with on the discretized Extended Coordination Space to derive a collision-free and time-optimal trajectory pair. Numerical example is included.

  • Recently, the concern of power qualiaty problem is increasing. Especially, Voltage quality problem have been increased important problem. Electronic device was affected by voltage sag. So, sensitive load that included many electronic Device was affected by voltage sag. also, it may have economic loss. In this paper, we argue the coordination scheme considering the loss of sensitive load. The coordination device of distribution system for instaneous fault is recloser and sectionalizer, But, the fault clearing time of recloser is more than 2 seconds. So, voltage sag generates long time that affected sensitive load. HS(high speed switchgear) has fast fault clearing time(0.015s) that not affected sensitive load. Therefore, the coordination applied HS is used. The proposed schemes are proved and evaluated by a case study using PSCAD/EMTDC simulation.

  • This paper deals with the development of computer programs that can be used for fuse and relay coordination in power station and also with the characteristics of these protective devices. The coordination of protective devices is determined by caculation from the lowest voltage level back to the power source. The minimum time difference between two different characteristics on the time- current curves is determined by the Golden Section searching routine.

  • In the complex real-time multi-agent system such as game environment, dynamic task allocations are repeatedly performed to achieve a goal in terms of system efficiency. In this research, we present a task allocation scheme suitable for the real-time multi-agent environment. The scheme is to optimize the task allocation by complementing existing coordination agent with $A^*$ algorithm. The coordination agent creates a status graph that consists of nodes which represent the combinations of tasks and agents, and refines the graph to remove nodes of non-execution tasks and agents. The coordination agent performs the selective utilization of the $A^*$ algorithm method and the greedy method for real-time re-allocation. Then it finds some paths of the minimum cost as optimized results by using $A^*$ algorithm. Our experiments show that the coordination agent with $A^*$ algorithm improves a task allocation efficiency about 25% highly than the coordination agent only with greedy algorithm.

  • The coordination of directional overcurrent relay (DOCR) is employed in this work, considering gray wolf optimizer (GWO), a recently designed optimizer that employs the hunting and leadership attitude of gray wolves for searching a global optimum. In power system protection coordination problem, the objective function to be optimized is the sum of operating time of all the main relays. The coordination of directional overcurrent relays is formulated as a linear programming problem. The proposed optimization technique aims to minimize the time dial settings (TDS) of the relays. The calculation of the Time Dial Setting (TDS) setting of the relays is the core of the coordination study. In this article two case studies of IEEE 6-bus system and IEEE 30-bus system are utilized to see the efficiency of this algorithm and the results had been compared with the other algorithms available in the reference and it was observed that the proposed scheme is quite competent for dealing with such problems. From analyzing the obtained results, it has been found that the GWO approach provides the most globally optimum solution at a faster convergence speed. GWO has achieved a lot of relaxation due to its easy implementation, modesty and robustness. MATLAB computer programming has been applied to see the effectiveness of this algorithm.

  • The existing GOMS model overestimates the performance time of mouse activities because it describes them in a serial sequence. However, parallel movements of eye and hand(eye-hand coordination) have been dominant in mouse activities and this eye-hand coordination is the main factor for the overestimation of performance time. In this study, therefore, the revised CGOMSL model was developed to implement eye-hand coordination to the mouse activity to overcome one of the limitations of GOMS model, the lack of capability for parallel processing. The suggested revised CGOMSL model for drag activity, as an example for one of mouse activities in this study, begins visual search processing before a hand movement but ends the visual search processing with the hand movement in the same time. The results show that the revised CGOMSL model made the prediction of human performance more accurately than the existing GOMS model. In other words, one of the limitations of GOMS model, the incapability of parallel processing, could be overcome with the revised CGOMSL model so that the performance time should be more accurately predicted.

  • Results of a study of the coordination effect in stocking and promotional markdown policies for a supply chain consisting of a retailer and a discount outlet (DCO) are reported here. We assume that the products are sold in two consecutive periods: Normal Sales Period (NSP) and subsequent Promotional Sales Period (PSP). When managers in the two periods coordinate, they share information on the demand forecast and jointly decide the stocking quantity, markdown time schedule, and markdown price to maximize mutual profit. In the absence of coordination, decisions are decentralized to optimize the individual party's objective function. Optimal coordination policy for the retailer/DCO problem setting is analyzed, and the coordination policy is compared with the uncoordinated policy to explore factors that make coordination an effective approach.

  • Recently, various devices requiring text input such as mobile phone IPTV, PDA and UMPC are emerging. The frequency of text entry for them is also increasing. This study was focused on the evaluation of Korean text entry interface. Various models to evaluate text entry interfaces have been proposed. Most of models were based on human cognitive process for text input. The cognitive process was divided into two components; visual scanning process and finger movement process. The time spent for visual scanning process was modeled as Hick-Hyman law, while the time for finger movement was determined as Fitts' law. There are three questions on the model-based evaluation of text entry interface. Firstly, are human cognitive processes (visual scanning and finger movement) during the entry of text sequentially occurring as the models. Secondly, is it possible to predict real text input time by previous models. Thirdly, does the human cognitive process for text input vary according to users' text entry speed. There was time gap between the real measured text input time and predicted time. The time gap was larger in the case of participants with high speed to enter text. The reason was found out investigating Eye-Hand Coordination during text input process. Differently from an assumption that visual scan on the keyboard is followed by a finger movement, the experienced group performed both visual scanning and finger movement simultaneously. Arrival Lead Time was investigated to measure the extent of time overlapping between two processes. 'Arrival Lead Time' is the interval between the eye fixation on the target button and the button click. In addition to the arrival lead time, it was revealed that the experienced group uses the less number of fixations during text entry than the novice group. This result will contribute to the improvement of evaluation model for text entry interface.
