칼만 필터를 이용한 비례항법유도 도달시간 추정기 설계 (A Time-to-go Estimator Design for Proportional Navigation Guided Missiles using Kalman Filters)

  • In this paper, we propose a new time-to-go estimation filter for PN guided missiles. The proposed estimator is derived based on the approximation of the length of the PNG homing trajectory that we newly introduced using the special coordinate system. The coordinate system is convenient for taking the target movement into account. In addition, compared with the previous time-to-go estimation techniques, the parameters required for evaluating the length can be obtained only with the seeker measurements. Moreover, the seeker measurement error statistics can effectively be considered since our filter is derived based on the Kalman filter theory. Simulation result for a typical anti-ship see-skimming missile homing trajectory shows the excellent performance of the proposed filter.

  • Inspection and shape measurement of three-dimensional objects are widely needed in industries for quality monitoring and control. In this paper, we propose a three dimensional volume reconstruction method, which is an iterative method and as uniform and simulated algebraic reconstruction technique (USART). In this method, two or more x-ray images projected from different views are needed, and also the geometry of the imaging system need to be a priori identified well. That is to say, the relative locations between the x-ray source, imaging plane and the object should be determined exactly by calibration. To achieve this, we propose a series of coordinate calibration methods of the x-ray imaging system using grid pattern images. 급 확대부를 갖는 실린더 챔버 내부 유동에 관한 LES (Large Eddy Simulation of Turbulent Flow Inside a Sudden Expansion Cylinder Chamber)

  • A large eddy simulation(LES) is performed for turbulent flow in a combustion device. The combustion device is simplified as a cylinder with sudden expansion. To promote turbulent mixing and to accommodate flame stability, a flame holder is attached inside the combustion chamber. Emphasis is placed on the flow details with different geometries of the flame holder. The subgrid scale models are applied and validated. The simulation code is constructed by using a general coordinate system based on the physical contravariant velocity components. The calculated Reynolds numbers are 5000 and 50000 based on the bulk velocity and the diameter of inlet pipe. The predicted turbulent statistics are evaluated by comparing with the LDV measurement data. The agreement of LES with the experimental data is shown to be satisfactory.

  • In estimating the formability of sheet metal, the stereo vision system contributes the accuracy of strain of sheet metal, the convenience in measuring the strain of sheet metal, and the handiness in preparing the forming limit diagram by calculating the 3D values and strain of sheet metal. The algorithm has been developed so that the 3D-coordinate values of sheet metal could be calculated by image processing which is composed of camera calibration, and the stereo matching of images in two viewpoints. By comparing with experiments, the possibility and the convenience of algorithm has been verified, which could calculate the 3D-coordinate values of sheet metal automatically by using the preprocessing of the original image of sheet metal, which had the noise before adjusting the camera calibration and the stereo matching algorithm.

  • Laser scanner are getting used for inspection and reverse engineering in industry such as motors, electronic products, dies and molds. However, due to the lack of efficient scanning technique, the tasks become limited to the low accuracy purpose. The main reasons for this limitation for usefulness are caused from the optical drawback, such as irregular reflection, scanning direction normal to measuring surface, the influence of surface integrity, and other optical disturbances. To overcome these drawback of laser scanner, this study propose the mechanism to reduce the optical trouble by using the 2 kinds of rotational movement axis and by composing the spherical coordinate to scanning the surface keeping normal direction consistently. So, it could be designed and interfaced the measuring device to realize that mechanism, and then it could acquisite the accurate 3D form cloud data. Also, these data are compared with the standard master ball and the data acquisited from the touch point sensor, to evaluate the accuracy and stability of measurement and to demonstrate the implementation of an dental tooth purpose system

  • 본 연구에서는 시료의 형광문제를 제거한 FT-Raman spectrometer을 이용하여 연신된 syndiotactic polypropylene의 비등방적 Raman 산란 특성을 측정하였다. 관찰된 Raman 피크를 해석하여 해당 symmetry species 분류를 목적으로, 입사 및 산란 복사선의 편광방향이 서로 다른 4 가지 편광실험을 수행하여 스펙트럼을 얻었다. 이 편광 Raman 실험 결과를 편광 infrared 실험에 의한 dichroism 결과 및 진동운동의 이론적 계산인 normal coordinate analysis 결과와 비교 분석하였다.

  • An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)-based Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) can calculate attitude and heading information with long-term accuracy and stability by combining gyro, accelerometer, and magnetic compass signals. Motivated by this characteristic of the AHRS, this paper presents a Motion-Tracking and Localization (MTL) method for a person or walking robot using multi-AHRSs. Five AHRSs are attached to the two calves, two thighs, and waist of a person/walking robot. Joints, links, and coordinate frames are defined on the body. The outputs of the AHRSs are integrated with link data. In addition, a supporting foot is distinguished from a moving foot. With this information, the locations of the joints on the local coordinate frame are calculated. The experimental results show that the presented MTL method can track the motion of and localize a person/walking robot with long-term accuracy in an infra-less environment.

  • A coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a computer-controlled measuring device that uses a probe to obtain measurements on a manufactured part's surface. CMM's have been very popular over traditional hard gauges due to their flexibility, accuracy, and ease of automated inspection. This paper considers the use of a CMM for the inspection of gears. We compare the inspection capability of a CMM and that of a gear-specific measuring machine. The result of this paper may benefit gear manufacturing companies in their dimensional quality assurance activities, especially for special type gears and for large-scale gears which are not measurable by gear-specific measuring machines.

  • This study concerns a large eddy simulation (LES) of turbulent flow around a bluff body inside a sudden expansion cylindrical chamber, a configuration which resembles a premixed gas turbine combustor The simulation code is constructed by using the general coordinate system based on the physical contravariant velocity components. The Smagorinsky model is employed and the calculated Reynolds number is 5,000 based on the bulk velocity and the diameter of the inlet pipe. The combined grid technique and cylindrical grid are tested in the numerical simulation with complex geometry. The predicted turbulent statistics are evaluated by comparing with LDV measurement data. The numerical flow visualizations depict the behavior of turbulent mixing process behind the flame holder.

레이저 변위계를 이용한 암석 절리면의 3차원 거칠기 측정기 개발 (Development of a 3D Roughness Measurement System of Rock Joint Using Laser Type Displacement Meter)

  • In this study, a 3D coordinate measurement system equipped with a laser displacement meter for digitizing rock joint surface was established and the digitized data were used to calculate several roughness parameters. The parameters used in this study were micro avenge inclination $angle(i_{ave})$, average slope of joint $asperity(SL_{ ave})$, root mean square of $i-angle(i_{rms})$, standard deviation of height(SDH), standard deviation of $i-angle(SD_i)$, roughness profile $index(R_P)$, and fractal dimension(D). The relationships between the roughness parameters based on the digitzation of the surface profile were analyzed. Since the measured value varied according to the degree of reflection and the variation of colors at the measuring point, rock joint surface was painted in white to minimize the influence of the surface conditions. The comparison of the measured values and roughness parameters before and after painting revealed the better consequence from measurement on the painted surfaces. Also, effect of measuring interval was studied. As measured interval was increased, roughness parameters were exponentially decreased. The incremental sequence of degree of decrease was $SDH\; i_{ave},\; i_{rms},\; SD_i,\;and\; R_ p-1$. As a result of comparison of parameters from pin-type measurement system and laser type measurement system, all value of parameters were higher when laser-type measurement system was used, except SDH.
