Since the 1990s rising intangible asset has become one of the main driving forces of investment stagnation and jobless growth in advanced income countries. We investigate how does the impact of firms' profitability on employment growth depends on the intangibility and whether the relationship between profitability and tangibility has complementarity. With data on Korean firms over the period 1988~2017 we investigate the effects of intangibility and profitability on employment growth based on the econometric approach of system GMM. The empirical results are as follows. (1) the profit rate has gradually led to lower employment growth, while it had positive effect on employment before the period of financial crisis. The estimated values and signs of profit rate coefficients varies from traditional industries to high/medium tech. industries. (2) the effect of increasing asset intangibility ratio on employment growth is negative and statistically significant. (3) the coefficients of interaction term of (profit rate ${\times}$ intangibility ratio) have significant negative values. It means employment effect of profit rate are becoming higher(lower) as intangibility ratio is at the lower(higher) level; profits rate and intangibility are not complement with each other. The results imply that to boost employment industrial policy which has the capacity to coordinate business intangibility is preferred to expansionary demand policy.

Pine nuts are Korea's representative nut forest products and profitable crops. However, pine nuts are harvested by climbing the trees themselves, thus the risk is high. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to harvest pine nuts using a robot or an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV). In this paper, we propose a deep learning based detection method for harvesting pine nut in UAV aerial images. For this, a video was recorded in a real pine forest using UAV, and a data augmentation technique was used to supplement a small number of data. As the data for 3D detection, Unity3D was used to model the virtual pine nut and the virtual environment, and the labeling was acquired using the 3D transformation method of the coordinate system. Deep learning algorithms for detection of pine nuts distribution area and 2D and 3D detection of pine nuts objects were used DeepLabV3+, YOLOv4, and CenterNet, respectively. As a result of the experiment, the detection rate of pine nuts distribution area was 82.15%, the 2D detection rate was 86.93%, and the 3D detection rate was 59.45%.
Recently, many Earth observation optical satellites have been developed, as their demands were increasing. Therefore, a rapid preprocessing of satellites became one of the most important problem for an active utilization of satellite images. Satellite image matching is a technique in which two images are transformed and represented in one specific coordinate system. This technique is used for aligning different bands or correcting of relative positions error between two satellite images. In this paper, we propose an automatic image matching method among satellite images with different ground sampling distances (GSDs). Our method is based on improved feature matching and robust estimation of transformation between satellite images. The proposed method consists of five processes: calculation of overlapping area, improved feature detection, feature matching, robust estimation of transformation, and image resampling. For feature detection, we extract overlapping areas and resample them to equalize their GSDs. For feature matching, we used Oriented FAST and rotated BRIEF (ORB) to improve matching performance. We performed image registration experiments with images KOMPSAT-3A and RapidEye. The performance verification of the proposed method was checked in qualitative and quantitative methods. The reprojection errors of image matching were in the range of 1.277 to 1.608 pixels accuracy with respect to the GSD of RapidEye images. Finally, we confirmed the possibility of satellite image matching with heterogeneous GSDs through the proposed method.

The virtual patient dataset is a collection of diagnostic data from various sources acquired from a single patient into a coordinate system of three-dimensional visualization. Virtual patient dataset makes it possible to establish a treatment plan, simulate various treatment procedures, and create a treatment planning delivery device. Clinicians can design and simulate a patient's smile on the virtual patient dataset and select the optimal result from the diagnostic process. The selected treatment plan can be delivered identically to the patient using manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing, milling, and injection molding. The delivery of this treatment plan can be linked to the final prosthesis through mockup confirmation through provisional restoration fabrication and delivery in the patient's mouth. In this way, if the diagnostic data superimposition and processing accuracy during the manufacturing process are guaranteed, 3D digital smile design simulated in 3D visualization can be accurately delivered to the real patient. As a clinical application method of the virtual patient dataset, we suggest a decision-making method that can exclude occlusal adjustment treatment from the treatment plan through the digital occlusal pressure analysis. A comparative analysis of whole-body scans before and after temporomandibular joint treatment was suggested for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis patients with temporomandibular joint disease. Occlusal plane and smile aesthetic analysis based on the virtual patient dataset was presented when treating patients with complete dentures.
As urbanization and industrialization increase development in downtown areas, damage due to ground settlement continues to occur. Building collapse in urban has a high risk of leading to large-scale damage to life and property. However, there has rarely been studied on measurement data analysis methods when uneven loads are applied to the excavated ground and no prior knowledge of the ground. Accordingly, it was attempted to analyze the relative settlement behavior and correlation by processing the time-series surface settlement of construction sites in the urban. In this paper, the average index of difference in settlement and average of relative difference in settlement are defined and calculated, then plotted in the coordinate system to analyze the relative settlement behavior over time. In addition, since there was no prior knowledge of the ground, a standard to classify the clusters was needed, and the observation points were classified into using k-means clustering and Dunn Index. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that all the clusters moved to the stable region as the settlement amount converges. The clusters were segmented. Based on the analysis results, it was possible to distinguish between the independent displacement area and same behavior area by analyzing the correlation between measurement points. If possible to analyze the relative settlement behavior between the stations and classify the behavior areas, it can be helpful in settlement and stability management, such as uplift of the surrounding area, prediction of ground failure area, and prevention of activity failure.

In this paper, a method for estimating the illuminant chromaticity of a scene for an input image is proposed. The illuminant chromaticity is estimated using the illuminant reference region. The conventional method uses a certain number of reference lighting information. By comparing the chromaticity distribution of pixels from the input image with the chromaticity set prepared in advance for the reference illuminant, the reference illuminant with the largest overlapping area is regarded as the scene illuminant for the corresponding input image. In the process of calculating the overlapping area, the weights for each reference light were applied in the form of a Gaussian distribution, but a clear standard for the variance value could not be presented. The proposed method extracts an independent reference chromaticity region from a given reference illuminant, calculates the characteristic values in the r-g chromaticity plane of the RGB color coordinate system for all pixels of the input image, and then calculates the independent chromaticity region and features from the input image. The similarity is evaluated and the illuminant with the highest similarity was estimated as the illuminant chromaticity component of the image. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated using the database image and showed an average of about 60% improvement compared to the conventional basic method and showed an improvement performance of around 53% compared to the conventional Gaussian weight of 0.1.
A polystyrene phantom was developed following the guidance of the International Atomic Energy Association (IAEA) for gamma knife (GK) quality assurance. Its performance was assessed by measuring the absorbed dose rate to water and dose distributions. The phantom was made of polystyrene, which has an electron density (1.0156) similar to that of water. The phantom included one outer phantom and four inner phantoms. Two inner phantoms held PTW T31010 and Exradin A16 ion chambers. One inner phantom held a film in the XY plane of the Leksell coordinate system, and another inner phantom held a film in the YZ or ZX planes. The absorbed dose rate to water and beam profiles of the machine-specific reference (msr) field, namely, the 16 mm collimator field of a GK PerfexionTM or IconTM, were measured at seven GK sites. The measured results were compared to those of an IAEA-recommended solid water (SW) phantom. The radius of the polystyrene phantom was determined to be 7.88 cm by converting the electron density of the plastic, considering a water depth of 8 g/cm2. The absorbed dose rates to water measured in both phantoms differed from the treatment planning program by less than 1.1%. Before msr correction, the PTW T31010 dose rates (PTW Freiberg GmbH, New York, NY, USA) in the polystyrene phantom were 0.70 (0.29)% higher on average than those in the SW phantom. The Exradin A16 (Standard Imaging, Middleton, WI, USA) dose rates were 0.76 (0.32)% higher in the polystyrene phantom. After msr correction factors were applied, there were no statistically significant differences in the A16 dose rates measured in the two phantoms; however, the T31010 dose rates were 0.72 (0.29)% higher in the polystyrene phantom. When the full widths at half maximum and penumbras of the msr field were compared, no significant differences between the two phantoms were observed, except for the penumbra in the Y-axis. However, the difference in the penumbra was smaller than variations among different sites. A polystyrene phantom developed for gamma knife dosimetry showed dosimetric performance comparable to that of a commercial SW phantom. In addition to its cost effectiveness, the polystyrene phantom removes air space around the detector. Additional simulations of the msr correction factors of the polystyrene phantom should be performed.

In this study, an automatic information collection system and geographic information construction algorithm for the transportation disadvantaged using electric mobility aids are implemented using an object recognition model. Recognizes objects that the disabled person encounters while moving, and acquires coordinate information. It provides an improved route selection map compared to the existing geographic information for the disabled. Data collection consists of a total of four layers including the HW layer. It collects image information and location information, transmits them to the server, recognizes, and extracts data necessary for geographic information generation through the process of classification. A driving experiment is conducted in an actual barrier-free zone, and during this process, it is confirmed how efficiently the algorithm for collecting actual data and generating geographic information is generated.The geographic information processing performance was confirmed to be 70.92 EA/s in the first round, 70.69 EA/s in the second round, and 70.98 EA/s in the third round, with an average of 70.86 EA/s in three experiments, and it took about 4 seconds to be reflected in the actual geographic information. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the walking weak using electric mobility aids can drive safely using new geographic information provided faster than now.

The purpose of this study is to propose a scholarly paper recommendation system based on metadata attribute similarity with excellent performance. This study suggests a scholarly paper recommendation method that combines techniques from two sub-fields of Library and Information Science, namely metadata use in Information Organization and co-citation analysis, author bibliographic coupling, co-occurrence frequency, and cosine similarity in Bibliometrics. To conduct experiments, a total of 9,643 paper metadata related to "inequality" and "divide" were collected and refined to derive relative coordinate values between author, keyword, and title attributes using cosine similarity. The study then conducted experiments to select weight conditions and dimension numbers that resulted in a good performance. The results were presented and evaluated by users, and based on this, the study conducted discussions centered on the research questions through reference node and recommendation combination characteristic analysis, conjoint analysis, and results from comparative analysis. Overall, the study showed that the performance was excellent when author-related attributes were used alone or in combination with title-related attributes. If the technique proposed in this study is utilized and a wide range of samples are secured, it could help improve the performance of recommendation techniques not only in the field of literature recommendation in information services but also in various other fields in society.

Treatment planning of edentulous patient with digital method is materialized by designing the surgical guide. When designing the surgical guide, we first implement the shape of the final prosthesis in the virtual space and then materialize the implantation plan based on this. However, it is challenging to make surgical guides for edentulous patients as their lack of both the reference for the arrangement of teeth and interocclusal relationship makes it hard to envision the shape of the final prosthesis. If there exists good partial or complete dentures or residual teeth, its teeth arrangement can be used as a reference for the virtual final prosthesis and the subsequent surgical guide. If such a reference is absent or unsatisfactory, a process of manufacturing a complete denture for diagnostic purposes and verifying it on patient's mouth is necessary and use it as a new reference for the virtual final prosthesis. But even if a surgical guide is produced through the reference from the thorough reflection of the virtual final prosthesis, when we use it in the surgical field, the intraoral condition of the patient may make the implants deviated from planned in the surgical guide. In the worst case, if the positioning of the surgical guide on the mouth is incorrect, it can lead to a catastrophic error that displaces all the implant, in which case the guided surgery would be much worse than the non-guided one. In this article, we will discuss how to obtain references of tooth arrangements in a timely manner and align or register them into a unified coordinate system in digital space, and also introduce how to transfer such an implantation plan from the virtual world into the patient's mouth of real world with minimum error. And lastly, I would like to express my opinion on the establishment of a rational and systematic protocol of guided surgery of the edentulous patients.
