The purpose of study is to promote the development of medium size enterprises(MSE) by analyzing the causal relationship between technology acquisition strategy and firms' performance. In this study, we use the number of intellectual property, sales growth rates, and return on sales as proxy variables of technological and financial performances. This study includes internal R&D investment, cooperative R&D with academy, foreign technologies transferred, and their interaction effects as the independent variables. The results of study are as follows. Frist, R&D Investment, Foreign Technologies Transferred and their interaction effects are positively influence on technological performance. Second, Cooperative R&D with academy and the interaction effects of R&D Investment and Cooperative R&D with academy are negative influence on technological performance. On the other hand, all of the main independent variables and the interaction effects have non-significant relationships with financial performances. These results imply that technological innovation efforts of MSEs do not effectively increase their financial performances. Furthermore, technological supports of government and academy on MSEs' innovation do not effectively increase their innovation outputs. Finally, this study discussed its theoretical and practical implications and the limitations of the study.

Inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) images have been widely used in non-cooperative target recognition(NCTR). One of the most important issues in ISAR imaging is the improvement of the image smeared by target motion. In this paper, we propose the discrete Gabor representation(DGR) in an oversampling scheme for efficient acquisition of high-quality ISAR images. The DGR compartmentally assigns the Gabor coefficients to unit cells of the time-frequency grid related to the given Gabor logons. Thus, it can show an excellent time-frequency concentration and effectively discriminates the Doppler components from point-scatterers. The simulation results demonstrated that the DGR not only obtained high-quality ISAR images but also retained computational efficiency.
After analyzing the actual acquisition status of carbon labeling by year and by product for the past four years, as well as its certification in the construction-related sectors of greenhouse gas emission, this study attempted to present the problems and coping strategies upon issuing the carbon labeling certification in the landscape architecture. During the period of this analysis, the carbon labelings were acquired by 134 enterprises, 267 workplaces, and 735 products, while the percentage of acquisition was highest in the regular non-durable goods(49%), followed by energy-consuming durable goods(26%), regular production goods (19%), regular durable goods(3%), and service(3%). Furthermore, the acquisition certifications in construction sectors, were highest in the various pipes/panel(8 cases), followed by concrete(6 cases), gypsum board(4 cases), and landscape architecture materials(2 cases). The landscape architecture only had two cases in the acquisition certification for the first time in 2012, which accounted for 0.27% of the entire certification products, due to the uncertainty in the process, the lack of professionalism, and the lack of comprehension. However, the study conducted on the coping strategies for carbon labeling in the landscape architecture revealed the following: (1) regular reporting system management through the division of labor in the head office and factories, (2) the building of objective DB through the adoption of data management programs such as SAP, (3) continuous promotion and vitalization of the incentive system, (4) the adoption of mandatory or preferential application system in landscaping projects, management, and bidding, (5) enhancement of elasticity in deliberation of certification by recruiting experts in the landscape architecture sectors, and (6) provision of incentives for the cooperative firms acquiring the certification and support for their participation.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of the cooperative cognitive radio relay system which is adapted the recently highly focused cognitive radio system. The performance comparison is made between the system with and that without the opportunistic transmission relay. Especially the selection combining is considered at the destination for simple implementation. In this case, the effect of the channel state information (CSI) delay, which is caused essentially by the process during the CSI delivery, to the system performance is considered. It is noticed that the performance of the system with the opportunistic relay degrades up to 0.6 dB at a given condition compared to the system without the opportunistic relay. And it is shown that the system performance is more sensitive to the CSI delay compared to the frequency acquisition probability of the cognitive radio relay.
In this work, we address the so-called sensor reachback problem for Wireless Sensor Networks, which consists in collecting the measurements acquired by a large number of sensor nodes into a sink node which has major computational and power capabilities. Focused on applications such as Structural Health Monitoring, we propose a cooperative communication protocol that exploits the spatio-temporal correlations of the sensor measurements in order to save energy when transmitting the information to the sink node in a non-stationary environment. In addition to cooperative communications, the protocol is based on two well-studied adaptive filtering techniques, Least Mean Squares and Recursive Least Squares, which trade off computational complexity and reduction in the number of transmissions to the sink node. Finally, experiments with real acceleration measurements, obtained from the Canton Tower in China, are included to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Special libraries have purchased materials in only one or two specific subject areas which their mother institutions are concerned. Therefore, special libraries need to develop a well-defined collection development policy for themselves. Special libraries purchase items that are frequently used by their users, and provide access to low-use titles through document delivery services. It is a reasonable solution that the library should Join the cooperative special libraries' association which provides document delivery services in Korea. It is because special libraries' association has achieved document delivery service successfully, when compared with the general(non-special) libraries association. It is expected that special libraries' association can do cooperative acquisition better than other groups.

The recent rapid growth of mobile network traffic places multi-access edge computing in an important position to reduce network load and improve network capacity and service quality. Contrasting with traditional mobile cloud computing, multi-access edge computing includes a base station cooperative cache layer and user cooperative cache layer. Selecting the most appropriate cache content according to actual needs and determining the most appropriate location to optimize the cache performance have emerged as serious issues in multi-access edge computing that must be solved urgently. For this reason, a cache placement algorithm based on comprehensive utility in big data multi-access edge computing (CPBCU) is proposed in this work. Firstly, the cache value generated by cache placement is calculated using the cache capacity, data popularity, and node replacement rate. Secondly, the cache placement problem is then modeled according to the cache value, data object acquisition, and replacement cost. The cache placement model is then transformed into a combinatorial optimization problem and the cache objects are placed on the appropriate data nodes using tabu search algorithm. Finally, to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm, a multi-access edge computing experimental environment is built. Experimental results show that CPBCU provides a significant improvement in cache service rate, data response time, and replacement number compared with other cache placement algorithms.

Recently, Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been focused for the next generation multiple access, which has more spectral efficiency under the limited spectrum bandwidth. Moreover, the spectrum efficiency can be improved by cognitive radio in which the unlicensed secondary users can access the spectrum that is used by the licensed primary user under the limited interference. Hence, we consider the combination of NOMA and cognitive radio, and derive the performance of the cognitive cooperative NOMA system. For the cooperation, a relay is selected among near users, and the selection combining is assumed at a far user. The outage probability of the selected relay and the far user is derived in closed-form, respectively. The provided numerical results are matched well with the Monte Carlo simulation. Numerical results showed that the performance of the relay is affected from the power allocation coefficient, the minimum outage probability is observed at 0.86 of the power allocation coefficient for far user under the given conditions. More than 15 dB of signal-to-noise ratio is required to meet the outage probability of $1{\times}10^{-13}$ for the far user with the frequency acquisition probability of 0.5 compared to that of 1. It shows that the performance of the far user is very sensitive to the acquisition probability of the cognitive relay.

Multi-agent systems can be utilized in various real-world cooperative environments such as battlefield engagements and unmanned transport vehicles. In the context of battlefield engagements, where dense reward design faces challenges due to limited domain knowledge, it is crucial to consider situations that are learned through explicit sparse rewards. This paper explores the collaborative potential among allied agents in a battlefield scenario. Utilizing the Multi-Robot Warehouse Environment(RWARE) as a sparse reward environment, we define analogous problems and establish evaluation criteria. Constructing a learning environment with the QMIX algorithm from the reinforcement learning library Ray RLlib, we enhance the Agent Network of QMIX and integrate Random Network Distillation(RND). This enables the extraction of patterns and temporal features from partial observations of agents, confirming the potential for improving the acquisition of sparse reward experiences through intrinsic rewards.
T2 FLAIR sequence of MRI in Acute Ischemic Stroke patients is meaningful to those who have the diagnosis of cerebral hemorrhage and neurological deficiency, including the detection of cerebral infarction around Cerebrospinal fluid. However, because of the long acquisition time and mutative motion artifacts caused by movement, It is difficult to take the MRI image acquisition for non-cooperative patients who need to apply a rapid image acquisition. In this study, we applied the EPI-FLAIR sequence, which is one of the fastest pulse sequences in use, which is a combination of EPI sequence and T2 FLAIR sequence, to patients with acute ischemic cerebral infarction. Based on the qualitative and quantitative evaluation results of the EPI-FLAIR and T2 FLAIR image, we will evaluate the diagnostic usefulness of the EPI-FLAIR sequence.
