  • It is necessary to consider the suicide problem of the senior citizens according to their occupation rather than simply dividing seniors according to whether they live in rural or urban areas to seek countermeasures against suicide. This study examines factors that influence the suicidal intentions of senior citizens engaged in the agriculture, forestry, and fishing industries using the ranking probit model. As a result, the suicidal intention of senior citizens working in the agriculture, forestry, and fishery industries who felt lonely increased by 3.0%, but the intention to commit suicide decreased by 1.1%, when they value their work, and the intent to commit suicide decreased by 2.7% when they feel a strong sense of belonging to their region. The more family members or relatives they meet every day, the suicide intentions of senior citizens in the agricultural, forestry, and fishing industries decreased by 2.5%. However, since the number of families living together is decreasing every year, there is an inevitable limit on face-to-face contact with family members or relatives. Therefore, it is necessary to establish policy that links the loneliness of senior citizens in the agricultural, forestry, and fishing industries with the effort of public institutions to promote social values.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze job stress factors of hospital workers, which has an effect on their turnover intention. For identifying the influences on turnover intention, types of hospitals (university hospital, general hospital, private hospital) and types of workers(office workers, technical workers, and nursing staffs) were categorized. We went to the hospitals and carried out the survey under the cooperation with the concerned hospitals. The period of survey was from 23. Sep. 2013 to 30. Oct. 2013, and 293 worker participated in the survey. On the basis of the previous study, the measurement of job stress factors and turnover intention was set up as the survey method, and its reliability and validity were measured. The stress factors were subdivided into seven factors; occupational climate, organizational system, autonomy job control, uncertainty of getting a new job, job ability to perform, job demand, job ambiance. The value of job stress factors by the measuring instrument, Cronbach's Alpha, was 0.805 and the value of the subordination variable of turnover intention was 0.881. IBM SPSS Statistics 21 was used as the statistic analysis tool and the descriptive statistics about job stress factors. As a result, the turnover intention were analyzed depending on the types of hospitals, job groups, working years, and gender. Result shows that the job stress factors are differed according to the types of hospitals, and these job stress factors have influence on turnover intention. Therefore, it could be considered that, if the hospital managers find out the major job stress factors of their employees and resolve them in advance, the job stress of the hospital workers and their turnover intention can be reduced.

  • The purpose of this study is to reinforce employment improvement of engineering college students and the industry-university collaboration of regional industries. In order to achieve the object of this study, we inquire and analyze the general requirements for engineering college students and specific requirements for each major of engineering college. In addition, we survey and analyze the industry-university collaboration programs and awareness of them. When regional companies hire new workers affiliated engineering students, they significantly consider executive ability related to their majors and self-confidence. The education and research area by each department and the status and the intention of industry-university cooperation are also investigated. Eventually, we propose the education plan to meet the industrial requirements and industry-university cooperation strategy.

  • This paper explores the framework in which MSNG(Mobile social network game) service providers' strategies to enhance users' intention of continuous usage. Users' perceived values have been considered as the key factors to solicit MSNG user's intention. Moreover, we suggest flow(user's psychological immersion to MSNG) as a mediator variable to inflame users' intention. Results based on 431 respondents shows that MSNG service providers' strategies(i.e., functional, emotional, and social values) directly influence users' intention to use, while those independent variables also show positive relationships towards dependent variables. So we can identify that the efforts to elaborate the users' perceived values are meaningful strategies of MSNG service providers. Also, user's psychological change(i.e. "flow" in this study) is the essential to mediate between MSNG service provider's strategies and building users' intention to use for that MSNG.

An analytical method was made with SPSS WIN program(Version 12.0). As a result of research, the turnover intention was high in women(p<.001), in under 30 years old(about 4.9 times, p<.001), in the unmarried(about 4.3 times, p<.001), and in junior college graduate(about 4 times, p<.001). Also, the turnover intention was high in income with under 1,500,000 won(about 3.3 times, p<.001), in working career with under 5 years(about 3.2 times, p<.001), in feeling the legal work limit(about 1.8 times, p<.05), and in group with low job satisfaction(p<.001). In correlation between organizational commitment and job variable, the variables in age, marriage, academic background, turnover intention, income, career, and legal work limit except gender and job satisfaction showed positive correlation with organizational commitment(p<.01). As for the factors affected on the organizational commitment, the turnover intention(p<.01), the legal work limit(p<.01), and the job satisfaction(p<.001) had significant effect on organizational commitment.

As a result of multiple regression, empowerment has 50.3% of the explanatory power on job satisfaction, 13.4% on nursing performance, and 21.9% on turnover intention. The significant predictive factors of nursing performance and job satisfaction were information and support in empowerment. In addition, turnover intention was resources in empowerment. These results suggest that empowerment improvement programs should be focused on developments to improve the quality of nursing.

  • Smart TV sareequipped with an operating system and combined with internet functionality. They can use various apps and contents, and provide personalized and interactive services. However, the Internet connectivity of smart TVs has several security vulnerabilities that can cause significant personal and social harm. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a smart TV with a higher level of security than is currently available. In this study, we analyze consumers' purchase intention for smart TVs with security reinforcement by applying the UTAUT2 model. The results are as follows. Firstly, it was found that performance expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions and price value, as important variables under the existing UTAUT2 model, have significant effects on purchase intention. Secondly, effort expectancy did not have a positive impact on purchase intention. Thirdly, there was a moderating effect of gender on social influence. According to the results of this study, social influence has the most powerful effect on the purchase intention of smart TVs with security reinforcement. Therefore, in order to improve the purchase intention of smart TVs, it is necessary to expand the publicity activities designed to promote the necessity and importance of reinforcing the security of smart TVs and make them easier to use.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of turnover intention of nursing according to the nurses' practice environments and job embeddedness in medium-to-small sized hospitals. A total of 131 nurses working in a hospital with less than 200 beds, and 145 nurses in a hospital with 200 to 400 beds were included in this study. Data were collected from 10th to 24th of August, 2015 and analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. The results were as follows: (a) Nurses' practice environment and job embeddedness showed no significant differences between the two groups, but there were significant differences of turnover intention between the two groups; (b) turnover intention was negatively correlated with nurses' practice environment and job embeddedness in each group; and (c) in hospital of less than 200beds, the factors of influencing turnover intention were job embeddedness, age and nurses' practice environment. Conversely, in a hospital with 200 to 400 beds, the factors of influencing turnover intention were job embeddedness, pay, and nurses' practice environment. This study suggests that to reduce turnover intention, we have to improve the practice environment of nurses and to enhance job embeddedness for nurses in medium-to-small sized hospitals.
