This research evaluates thermal comfort by comparing the case of maintain cooing temperature of room with the case of raising it at the point of time that human body begins to adapt. An experiment uses constant temperature & humidity chamber 2 places. Pretesting room make up summer season environment, the testing room control by air-conditioner. In condition that maintain temperature of $33^{\circ}C$. The subjects stay in the pretesting room during the 30 minute for the heat storage amount of the normal summertime. The subjects stay in the testing room under each case (case 1: maintaining $24^{\circ}C$, case 2: maintaining $26^{\circ}C$, case 3: up $1^{\circ}C$ after maintaining $24^{\circ}C$ during 30 minute, case 4: up $1^{\circ}C$ after maintaining $26^{\circ}C$ during 40 minute). 1. Result of comparison of case 1 and case 2 appears that thermal sensitive vote examine from slight cool to cool and thermal comfort examine slight comfort by temperature rise at human body adaptation point of time.2. Test of case 3 and case 4 appear similar value at thermal sensitive vote and thermal comfort.3. Through the case 2 and case 4, continuous thermal comfort maintain at $24^{\circ}C$, if raise $26^{\circ}C$, same thermal comfort maintain after a human body adaptation temperature rising effect bring energy saving.
Republic of Korea officially announced its mid term reduction target which reduce about 30% of BAU GHG emission by 2020 in the 15th meeting of UNFCCC(COP 15) held in Copenhagen, Denmark 2009. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to understand the serious of climate change and take part in GHG reduction not only industry but also the nation. However, such positive participation in green life which may cause inconvenient of the life of the people. It should be accomplished with providing reliable information. This study suggests the scientific potentialities of GHG emission by guideline on low carbon life and green life to form and change a lifestyle suitable for coping with climate change. And also, this study quantitate the GHG reduction which may reduce demand for air conditioning by cool biz and warm biz. In Korea, this campaign has become known as 'CoolMaebsi' by Ministry of Environmental of Korea. 'CoolMaebsi' is a compound word of 'Cool' which means feel refreshed, and 'Maebsi' is a Korean word which means attire. Though this campaign is effective and significant to reduce the GHG emission yet there were no study on quantitative analysis. Therefore this study calculated reduced energy consumption and potential GHG emission by measuring variation of skin temperature. As the result, wearing warm biz and cool biz have an effect of reducing not only the energy consumption but also GHG emission. To achieve the low carbon society, it is necessary to improve the energy saving system and introduce the policy which guide to change a life style.

Cooling load reduction was analysed of a ventilation system adopting a regenerative evaporative cooler. The regenerative evaporative cooler is a kind of indirect evaporative cooler which cools the air down to its inlet dewpoint temperature in principle without change in the humidity ratio. The regenerative evaporative cooler was found able to cool the ventilation air to $18{\sim}21^{\circ}C$ when the outdoor condition ranges $25{\sim}35^{\circ}C$ and 0.01~0.02 kg/kg. When the outdoor humidity ratio is lower than 0.018 kg/kg, the regenerative evaporative cooler was found to provide cooling performance enough to compensate the ventilation load completely and to supply additional cooling as well. Energy simulation during the summer was carried out for a typical office building with the ventilation system using the regenerative evaporative cooler. The results showed that the seasonal cooling load can be reduced by about 40% by applying the regenerative evaporative cooler as a ventilation conditioner. The reduction was found to increase as the outdoor temperature increases and the outdoor humidity ratio decreases.

The aim of this study is to provide fundamental informations that make it possible to use a cool stream and a hot stream simultaneously. We changed the pressure of compressed air that flows into a tube, the inner diameter of orifice that a cold stream exits, and the mass flow rate ratio. And in each case, we measured the temperature of a cold stream and a hot stream in each exit of a tube. Also we measured the axial and the radial temperature distribution in internal spare of a tube. From the study, fellowing conclusive remarks 7an be made. First, As the number of nozzles increase, separation point move into the hot exit. Second, When we use guide vane type nozzle, the axial temperature distribution constant over the 0.75 of air mass flow rate radio. Third, When we use Spiral type nozzle, axial and radial temperature distribution in the inner space is higher than another nozzle. Fourth, Axial and radial temperature distribution in the inner space vortex-tube is determined by separation point. And separation point is moved by changing of air mass flow rate ratio. At last, A heating apparatus is possible far vortex-tube to use.

A fan is the most common air flow machinery and is being used in various different industries such as for heavy machinery, home appliances and automobile. An axial fan has blades that force air to move parallel to the shaft about which the blades rotate. This type of fan is used in a wide variety of applications, ranging from small cooling fans for electronics to the giant fans used in wind tunnels. An axial fan generating large air volume used to cool equipments, but is less efficient. A sirocco fan is a efficient device for moving air by centrifugal force and can generate high pressure. Fans that affect the performance and noise of a product are important components. It is also a time and budget consuming equipment to develop a fan through physical experiments. In order to overcome this problem, we have designed and developed a fan simulator for axial and sirocco fan's fluid analysis using supercomputer. Performance and noise prediction based on datamining without numerical analyses is also developed for the conceptual design of a fan.
Thermoeconomics or exergoeconomics can be classified into the three fields of cost estimating, cost optimization, and internal cost analysis. The objective of cost estimating is to estimate each unit cost of product and allocate each cost flow of product such as electricity or hot water. The objective of optimization is to minimize the input costs of capital and energy resource or maximize the output costs of products under the given constraints. The objective of internal cost analysis is to find out the cost formation process and calculate the amount of cost flow at each state, each component, and overall system. In this study, a new thermoeconomic methodology was proposed in the three fields. The proposed methodology is very simple and obvious. That is, the equation is only each one, and there are no auxiliary equations. Any energy including enthalpy and exergy can be applied and evaluated by this equation. As a new field, the cost allocation methodology on cool air or hot air produced from an air-condition system was proposed. Extending this concept, the proposed methodology can be applied to any complex system.
Recently, because of the deterioration of the nuclear generating station and increase of the cooler and heater, energy problem is increasing. To save the energy, the free cooling system is developed. The free cooling system is that cool the water to use cooled air in winter and is used in industrial process or data center. Yoon check the energy of free cooling system with dry cooler in korea. In this study, the value of the free cooling system with dry cooler is confirmed through using the NPV that is economic evaluation. when temperature degree of the cooled water is 10, in Chuncheon and Seoul the value is the most high. When temperature degree of the cooled water is 20, in Ulsan the value is the most high. As the result, because the using the temperature degree of the cooled water is high in the industrial process, the free cooling system is advantageous in korea.

The regenerative evaporative cooler(REC) is to cool a stream of air using evaporative cooling effect without an increase in the humidity ratio. In the regenerative evaporative cooler, the air can be cooled down to a temperature lower than its inlet wet-bulb temperature. Besides the cooling performance, for practical application of the regenerative evaporative cooler, the compactness of the system is also a very important factor to be considered. In this respect, three different configurations, i.e., the flat plate type, the corrugated plate type, and the finned channel type are investigated and compared for the most compact configuration. The optimal structure of each configuration is obtained individually to minimize the volume for a given effectiveness within a limit of the pressure drop. Comparing the three optimal structures, the finned channel type is found to give the most compact structure among the considered configurations. The volume of the regenerative cooler can be reduced to 1/8 by adopting the finned channel type as compared to that of the flat plate type.

Average flow rate that flows into a tube is in proportion to square root of inlet pressure. As inlet pressure increases axial and radial temperature distribution in the inner space of vortex-tube increase. As mass flow rate ratio change, separation point moves.

A theoretical investigation to find thermodynamically optimum design conditions of conduction-cooled Peltier current leads is performed. A Peltier current lead (PCL) is composed of a thermoelectric element (TE), a metallic lead and a high temperature superconductor (HTS) lead in the order of decreasing temperature. Mathematical expressions for the minimum heat flow per unit current crossing the TE-metal interface and the minimum heat flow per unit current from the metal lead to the joint of the metal and the HTS leads are obtained. It is shown that the temperature at the TE -metal interface possesses a unique optimal value that minimizes the heat flow to the joint and that this optimal value depends on the material properties of the TE and the metallic lead but not the joint temperature nor electric current. It is also shown that there exists a unique optimal value for the joint temperature between the metal and the HTS leads that minimizes the sum of the power dissipated by ohmic heating in the current leads and the refrigerator power consumed to cool the lead, for a given length of the HTS.
