Finite Element Modeling of Contact Joints by Flexibility Influence Coefficient (유연도 영향계수법을 이용한 접촉 결합 부의 모델링)

  • Rational dynamic modeling and analysis method f3r complex structures are studied with special attention to slide way joints. For modeling of slide way joints, a general modeling technique is used by using the influence coefficients method which is applied to the conversion of detailed finite element model to the equivalent reduced joint model. The theoretical part of this method is illustrated and the method is applied to the structure with slide way joint. In this method, the non-linearity of the contact surfaces is considered within a proper range and the boundary effect of the joint model could be eliminated. The proposed method was applied to finite element modal analysis of a clamp jointed cantilever beam and slide way joints of the vertical type lathe. The method can also be used to other kinds of joint modeling. The results of these analysis were compared with those of Yoshimura models and rigid joint models, which demonstrated the practical applicability of the proposed method.

Efficient Second Harmonic Generation of Pulsed Nd-YAG Laser Radiation with Noncritically Phase-Matchable $LiNbO_3$ in Room-Temperature

  • 0.65 mol% MgO-doped LiNbO$_3$single crystals were grown by CZ method. The obtained single crystals were colorless and transparent. Noncritically phase-matched second harmonic generation (SHG) of 532-nm radiation from 1064-nm in MgO-doped LiNbO$_3$has been investigated by using pulsed Nd:YAG laser. The phase-matching temperature was room temperature. SHG conversion efficiencies were typically achieved higher than 50% at the phase-matching temperature with no photorefractive damage in the region of fundamental power density which was used in this experiment. The thermo-birefringence coefficient and the electro-birefringence coefficient of SHG were calculated from the temperature phase-matching profile with the electric field.

  • There are BOD(Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and COD(Chemical Oxygen Demand) in the date of the water pollution in the pollution analysis, BOD and COD analysis the result of the analysis. The computer developed the program in the analysis. Went by BOD, the relation conversion equation type of COD, the control chart, the standard deviation, and the coefficient of correlation etc.. for the purpose of the development of the program. There is a purpose by which it is what coefficient of correlation in the development of this program or not if the value (X and Y) of unknow is understood. In the future, if this program is applied the utilization to not only the data is analyzed about the water pollution but also a lot of fields is proposed.

  • The daily photosynthetic photon flux density incident on a horizontal surface was estimated with sunshine duration through daily global radiation at Taegu in Korea. The constant and coefficient of $\AA$ngstrom equation for global radiation were calculated as 0.1763 and 0.5012, respectively. The conversion factor from daily global radiation to daily photosynthetic photon flux density was determined as 2.2359.

  • A coreless printed circuit board(PCB) transformer is employed in a contactless energy transfer circuit that achieves an efficient power conversion at the presence of a considerable airgap between the source and the load side. A half-bridge series resonant converter is selected as the contactless energy transfer circuit in order to minimize the detrimental effects of large leakage inductance small magnetizing inductance and poor coupling coefficient of the coreless PCB transformer. The operation and performance of the proposed contactless power converter are verified on a 7 W experimental circuit that provides an 18V/0.4A output from a 210-370 V input source.

Calculation of Dose Conversion Coefficients in the Anthropomorphic MIRD Phantom in Broad Unidirectional Beams of Monoenergetic Photons (MIRD 인형팬텀의 넓고 평행한 감마선빔에 대한 선량 환산계수 계산)

  • The conversion coefficients of effective dose per unit air kerma and equivalent dose per unit fluence were calculated by MCNP4A code for antero-posterior(AP) and postero- anterior(PA) incidence of broad, unidirectional beams of photons into anthropomorphic MIRD phantom. Calculations have been performed for 20 monoenergetic photons of energy ranging from 0.03 to 10 MeV. The conversion coefficients showed a good agreement with the corresponding values given in the draft publication of joint task group of ICRP and ICRU within 10%. The deviations may arise from the differences of geometry in the MIRD phantom and the ADAM/EVE phantoms, and the differences in the codes and cross-section data used. Inclusion of a specific oesophagus model results in effective dose slightly different(5% at most) from the effective doses obtained by adopting the equivalent doses for the thymus or pancreas. Deletion of the ULI from the remainder organ appeared not to be significant for the cases of photon dosimetry covered in this study.

  • This paper proposes an online adaptive fuzzy controller for a wind energy conversion system (WECS) that is intrinsically highly nonlinear plant. In real application, to obtain exact system parameters such as power coefficient, many measuring instruments and off-line implementations are required, which is very difficult to perform. This shortcoming can be avoided by introducing fuzzy system in the controller design in this paper. The proposed adaptive fuzzy control scheme using self-structuring algorithm requires no system parameters to meet control objectives. Even the structure of the fuzzy system is automatically grows on-line, which distinguishes our proposed algorithm over the previously proposed fuzzy control schemes. Combining derivative estimator for wind velocity, the whole closed-loop system is shown to be stable in the sense of Lyapunov.

  • The accumulation of salt contamination could be the source of electrical accident. The degree of contamination on outdoor insulator is represented by ESDD(equivalent salt deposit density). The salt is transported by the wind to the outdoor insulator and cleaned by the rain. So, we can estimate the relation between climatic data and ESDD by using the multiple regression method. The results of pre-study presented the high relation coefficient(0.874). But these results couldn't apply to another period So, this paper improves above problem by mathematical process of climatic data The main method is accumulation of passed climatic data and conversion of the rainfall by the wind. Then, we confirmed the increasement of relation coefficient(0.898).

  • In significant number of energy-related facilities for like thermal power plant or petro-chemical industry, CrMo steels are widely used energy conversion industries. However, these materials undergo precipitation of carbides or intermetallic compounds into grain boundary and change of internal microstructure such as coarsening of precipitation, decrease of solute elements and impurity segregation under more severe service conditions, which results in deterioration of inherent superior material characteristics. In this study, it was verified experimentally the feasibility of the aging degradation evaluation for degraded 2.25Cr-lMo steel specimens prepared by isothermal aging heat treatment at 63$0^{\circ}C$ by high frequency longitudinal ultrasonic and surface SH wave investigating the change of attenuation coefficient analyzed by spectral analysis. Attenuation coefficient had a tendency to increase as degradation proceeded.

  • In this paper, tunable SC(switched capacitor) 2nd order bandpass $\Sigma-\Delta$(Sigma-Delta) modulator with novel architecture that can adjust the IF band center frequency by one coefficient value is proposed for data conversion in the IF(Intermediate Frequency) band. Its architecture can optionally adjust all the 2nd order noise transfer function in comparison with the conventional architecture. In order to adjust the center frequency, the conventional architecture needs the two variable coefficient values, basic clock and eight clocks. On the other hand, the proposed architecture can adjust the center frequency by one variable coefficient value and basic clock only.
