Bio-inspired Evasive Movement of UAVs based on Dragonfly Algorithm in Military Environment

  • Applications of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the military environment have become popular because they require minimum human contribution and can avoid accidents during missions. UAVs are employed in various missions such as reconnaissance, observation, aggression, and protection. Consequently, counter-measures, known as anti-drone technologies, have been developed as well. In order to protect against threats from anti-drone technologies and enhance the survivability of UAVs, this study proposes an evasive measure. The proposed bio-inspired evasive maneuver of a UAV mimics a dragonfly's irregular flight. The unpredictable UAV movement is able to confuse enemies and avoid threats, thereby enhancing the UAV's survivability. The proposed system has been implemented on a commercial UAV platform (AR Drone 2.0) and tested in a real environment. The experiment results demonstrate that the proposed flight pattern has larger displacement values compared to a regular flight maneuver, thus making the UAV's position is difficult to predict.

Proposal of Artificial Intelligence Convergence Curriculum for Upskilling of Financial Manpower : Focusing on Private Bankers and Robo-Advisors

  • Purpose - As new technologies that have led the 4th industrial revolution spread after the COVID-19 pandemic, the business crisis of existing financial institutions and the threat of employee jobs are growing, especially in the financial sector. The purpose of this study is to propose a human-technology convergence curriculum for creating high value-added in financial institutions and upskilling financial manpower. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, a curriculum was designed to strengthen job competency for Private Bankers, high-quality employees of a bank dealing with high-net-worth owners. The focus of the design is that learners acquire skills to use robo-advisors as a tool and supplement artificial intelligence ethics. Result - The curriculum is organized into a total of 16 classes, and the main contents are changes in the financial environment and financial consumers, the core technology of robo-advisors and AI ethics, and establishment and evaluation of hyper-personalized asset management strategies using robo-advisors. To achieve the educational goal, two evaluations are performed to derive individual tasks and team project results. Conclusion - Human-centered upskilling convergence education will contribute to improving employee value and expanding corporate high value-added business areas by utilizing new technologies as tools. It is expected that the development and application of convergence curriculum in various fields will continue to be advanced in the future.

4차 산업혁명 대응과 스마트 기업으로의 변화를 위한 제조 및 서비스 기업의 기술적용 우선순위에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Technological Priorities of Manufacturing and Service Companies for Response to the 4th Industrial Revolution and Transformation into a Smart Company)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 중소기업들에게 4차 산업혁명 대응과 스마트 기업으로의 변화를 위해서는 어떠한 기술들을 우선적으로 적용하여야 하는가에 대한 내용을 AHP를 활용하여 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 4차 산업혁명 관련 기술들을 종합하고, 김대훈 외(2019)의 분류기준을 준용하지만 전문가들의 의견을 추가로 수렴하여 관련 기술들을 분류하였다. 인공지능(AI), Big Data, Cloud Computing을 디지털 기반기술로, 모바일, 사물인터넷(IoT), Block Chain을 초연결 기술로, 무인운송(자율주행), 로봇(Robot), 3D 프린팅, 드론을 융합기술로, 스마트 제조 및 물류, 스마트 헬스케어, 스마트 교통, 스마트 금융을 스마트 산업기술로 구분하였다. AHP 분석과 종합가중치를 계산하는 방식으로 기술적용 우선순위를 확인한 결과 제조기업은 모바일, 인공지능(AI), Big Data, 로봇(Robot)의 순위가 높으며, 서비스기업은 Big Data, 로봇(Robot), 인공지능(AI), 스마트 헬스케어의 순위가 높고 전체기업에서는 Big Data, 인공지능(AI), 로봇(Robot), 모바일의 순서이다. 본 연구를 통해 4차 산업혁명 대응과 스마트 기업으로의 변화를 위해서는 어떠한 기술들을 우선적으로 적용하여야 하는가를 명확하게 규명하였다.

  • The emergence of different and disparate materials together with the convergence of both the 'old' and 'emerging' technologies is paving the way for integration of heterogeneous technologies that are likely to extend the limitations of silicon technology beyond the roadmap envisaged for complementary metal-oxide semiconductor. Formulation of new information processing concepts based on novel aspects of nano-scale based materials is the catalyst for new nanoarchitectures driven by a different perspective in realization of novel logic devices. The memory technology has been the pace setter for silicon scaling and thus far has pave the way for new architectures. This paper provides an overview of the inevitability of heterogeneous integration of technologies that are in their infancy through initiatives of material physicists, computational chemists, and bioengineers and explores the options in the spectrum of novel non-volatile memory technologies considered as forerunner of new logic devices.

  • Demands for high quality and productivity of precision mechanical parts are increasing greatly nowadays due to the rapid growth of information technologies and convergence industries. Therefore, core technologies for fabrication of precision mechanical parts are the fundamental issues, which are the precision machining, micro powder injection molding technologies, MR polishing, micro polymer processes, micro actuation modules and so on. These technologies are directly related to the mass production of high functional devices and machineries. Therefore, this study investigates the fabrication technologies of micro precision molds for advanced devices for possible commercialization in a near future.

  • ICT융합은 기업의 대표적인 혁신 수단으로 주목받고 있다. 성과를 창출하고 있는 ICT기반의 융합기업을 대상으로 성공요인을 도출하기 위해 심층인터뷰를 했다. ICT융합 기업의 성공요인은 ICT기술의 융합을 통한 제품과 서비스의 차별화, R&D투자 강화를 통한 융합형 기술력 확보, 융합에 대한 CEO 강력한 리더십 및 국내외 협업관계의 강화 등으로 분석되었다. ICT융합에서 제품 및 서비스의 혁신을 위한 노력, 적극적인 R&D투자, 글로벌 협력 네트워크 구축 등은 성공에서 긍정적인 영향을 준다. 또한 복잡한 인허가 절차, 국산 제품 및 서비스의 나쁜 선입견, 해외진출 부담 등은 부정적인 효과를 준다. 이런 결과를 ICT융합 확산을 위한 정책적 방향으로 제안하였다.

  • 오늘날 콘텐츠 산업의 가치와 중요성은 급속히 증대되고 있다. 특히 스마트 기기의 대중화로 인해 콘텐츠와 신기술들이 결합된 융합형 콘텐츠의 소비가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 융합형 콘텐츠를 기반으로 하는 차세대 융합형 콘텐츠 산업은 미래 산업을 선도하고 국가성장 동력원으로 인식되고 있다. 그러나 차세대 융합형 콘텐츠 분류체계가 아직 정립되지 않고 있는 상황이어서 산업의 범위를 규정하는데 어려움이 발생한다. 효과적으로 신산업 발굴하기 위해서 현재 콘텐츠, 기술과 산업을 재조명하여 콘텐츠 분야에서 융합트렌드를 이끌어갈 요인을 발견하고 융합 콘텐츠의 형태가 무엇인지를 파악할 필요가 있다. 존재하거나 새롭게 나타나는 융합기술 기반의 콘텐츠 산업 분류를 시도하는 것은 차세대 융합형 콘텐츠 산업 발굴을 위한 초기 연구로 중요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 차세대 융합형 콘텐츠 산업군을 발견하기 위하여 융합 콘텐츠 속성들을 분석하였고, 이를 바탕으로 컨조인트 분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 컨조인트 분석을 통해 나타난 주요 속성을 기반으로 차세대 융합 산업 군을 제안한다.

  • The paper considers the main processes of evolution and convergence of information and communication technologies, which have a permanent source for creation and introduction of innovations in learning and education. The modern scientific and technological revolution gives new features to all modern activities, including activities in the sphere of education, influencing it and transforming its phases, form and content, and perhaps understanding in general. Consequently, general understandings about the essence of the provision of educational services and their technological support are also being transformed. Note that, according to scientists, convergence is a new determinant of the development of society, and evolution is a multidimensional natural process of development (becoming).

  • The possibility of an active-matrix carbon nanotube field emission display (AM-CNT FED) is discussed from the view points of display performance and cost. The critical issues for FED commercialization such as anode acceleration voltage, uniformity, stability and reliability can be solved through our AM-CNT FED technologies.

  • As sustainability of fashion brands is becoming more important in the prolonged depression, the fashion market is also seeking ways to create new value through convergence with various fields. In the fashion market, convergence marketing is engaged with diverse technologies combined with advanced technologies and strategies. This study established the conceptual characteristics of convergence and divergence from a market perspective. Convergence can be summarized as Borderless, Compounding, Diversification, Recombination and Affiliation. The conceptual characteristics of the divergence can be summarized as de-fusion, individualization, differentiation, specialization, and segmentation. The characteristics of convergence revealed through the case of fashion market include the expandability of the new category, the expandability of the consumer, the brand experience, and the expandability of time and space. Divergence is the differentiation of brand value, target customer, and product nature. Through this study, we could understand the differentiation of the fashion market and the direction of the marketing strategy by looking at the characteristic of the convergence marketing - oriented research that has the contrary conceptual characteristics from the extended viewpoint. Based on this, it is possible to see the changes and patterns of brand marketing strategies and techniques in recent fashion market. In the future, it is expected that the systematic study of the marketing strategy of the domestic fashion brand based on the convergence and change characteristics of the fashion market proposed in this study will continue.
