In this letter, we report on the development progress of a pressure control organic vapor deposition (PCOVD) technology used to design and build a large area deposition system. We also investigate the growth characteristics of a pentacene thin film by PCOVD. Using the PCOVD method, the mobility and on/off current ratio of an organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) on a plastic substrate are $0.1cm^2/Vs$ and $10^6$, respectively. The developed OTFT can be applied to a flexible display on a plastic substrate.

The convergence characteristics of the LV scheme for the Euler equations have been investigated by using the Von Neumann stability analysis. The results indicated that the convergence rate is governed by a specific combination of CFD parameters. Based on this insight, it is shown that the convergence characteristics of the LV scheme is not deteriorated at any grid aspect-ratio as long as the local time step is defined based on the parameter combination. The numerical results demonstrated that this time step definition provide a uniform convergence for grid aspect-ratios between one to$1{\times}10^{4}$.

A widely tunable multi-channel grating cavity laser is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The device is implemented in Littman configuration with an echelle grating based on Rowland circle construction and realized by monolithically integrating all elements in an InP substrate. Lasing wavelength is selected by turning on an amplifier and the appropriate channel element in the array, and it is tuned by controlling light deflection electrically. The 6-channel device exhibits a tuning range of about 50 nm with a side mode suppression ratio of more than 30 dB. This is accomplished by adjusting the applied current of the dispersive element and phase control section.

Analyses of performance of wireless broadband communication systems employing fiber-optic link have presented. We have analyzed CNR penalty to evaluate system performance by taking into account, radio link considering rainfall attenuation, and optical link considering several carrier-to-noise ratio versus the optical modulation index.

본 연구에서는 최근 25년간의 데이터를 이용하여 아시아 각 국가 사이에 빈곤수준이 서로 수렴하는 것인지 혹은 오히려 격차가 더 증가해 왔는지를 분석하였다. 특히 무역은 이러한 수렴 여부에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지를 분석하기 위해 빈곤자비율(H)과 인간개발지수(HDI)의 두 가지 지수를 이용하여 계량분석을 실시하였다. 분석방법으로는 경제성장 분야에서 흔히 쓰이고 있는 소위 σ-수렴 측정과 β-수렴 측정방법을 이용하였다. 그 결과, 분석기간 동안 H는 평균적으로 감소해 왔으며 HDI는 증가추세를 가진다는 것을 발견하였다. 하지만 이러한 추이는 아시아 국가들 전체의 평균 추이를 나타내는 것에 불과하기 때문에, 본 연구의 관심사인 국가 간 수렴여부를 추가 분석하였다. 그 결과 H는 국가 간에 유의한 정도의 수렴이 나타나지 않는 반면 HDI는 수렴하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 무역은 이 과정에서 역시 H수렴에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다고 보기 어렵지만 HDI의 경우에는 무역이 수렴속도를 향상시키는 데 일정한 기여를 했다는 것을 발견했다. 결국, 무역은 전반적인 삶의 질 향상을 통해 아시아 국가 간의 격차를 수렴시킨다는 것을 발견하였다.

조절과 폭주기능은 밀접하게 연관된 합동운동으로 폭주와 조절 어느 한 쪽이 자극되면 양기능이 동시에 일어난다. 이 중 조절자극에 의해 일어나는 폭주를 조절성 폭주라고 하며, 눈의 굴절상태에 따라 과부족이 있다. 본 연구는 조절성 폭주비와 사위와의 관계를 규명하기 위해 그래디앤트(Gradient)법과 헤트로포리아(Heterophoria)법 둘 다 모두 사용하여 안과적 질환이 없는 성인 남녀 41명을 대상으로 검사하였다. 1. 원거리 사위분포를 조사한 결과, 정위 5명, 외사위 32명, 내사위 4명으로 외사위가 가장 많은 비율을 차지하고 있었다. 근거리 사위분포도는 원거리보다 넓게 퍼져서 분포하고 있었다. 2. 수정체의 조절력을 이완시킨 상태에서 수평사위량 측정시, 38명이 외사위량이 증가하였다. 3. 정상 AC/A ratio에 해당하는 $4{\sim}6{\Delta}/D$를 갖는 사람이 Heterophoria법에서는 27명으로 약 66%를, Gradient 법에서는 16명으로 39%를 각각 차지하고 있었다.

모노 펄스 estimator의 성능은 Monopulse Ratio(MR) 커브에 의해 결정된다. 모노 펄스 estimator의 성능을 향상시키기 위해서는 배열 구조 파라메타와 관련된 MR 커브의 수학적 표현이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 Maximum Likelihood(ML) 기반 모노 펄스 estimator의 MR 커브의 역함수를 이용한 모노 펄스 estimator를 제안한다. 평면 배열 모노 펄스 레이더 안테나에서 제안된 estimator의 MR 커브의 선형 영역을 확장시키는 과정을 보이고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 기존의 ML 기반 estimator와 성능을 비교한다.

본 연구에서는 폴리프로필렌 (PP)과 에틸렌 비닐알코올 공중합체 (EVOH)의 블렌드에 있어 발생하는 상분리 현상을 방지하고자 PP에 itaconic acid (IA)가 그라프트 된 PP-g-IA 를 상용화제로 이용하였다. PP-g-IA 상용화제는 PP base에 IA의 투입량을 1, 2, 5, 10 wt.% 로 달리하면서 투입하여 제조하였으며, FT-IR과 $^1H$ NMR 분석을 통하여 성공적으로 PP에 IA가 그래프트 되었음을 확인하였다. 이 중 그래프트율이 1% 로 가장 높게 나타난 PP-g-IA 상용화제를 PP/EVOH 블렌드 연구에 적용하였다. 신규 상용화제가 적용된 PP/EVOH 블렌드는 SEM을 이용하여 모폴로지를 관찰하였고, DSC 와 UTM를 이용하여 열적 기계적 특성을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, PP-g-IA 상용화제는 PP/EVOH 블렌드의 계면접착력을 향상시키는 것으로 나타나 상용화제로써의 유효성이 확인되었다.

본 연구는 여성의 건강요인과 대사증후군의 상관성을 연구하기 위해 2012-2014년 국민건강영양조사 원시자료를 이용하여 최종 6743명을 분석대상자로 하였다. 여성건강과 대사증후군과의 관련성을 보기 위한 나이 지역, 가구수입, 흡연, 직업을 보정 한 모델에서 폐경 전보다 폐경후가 1.44배 (95% CI:1.09-1.90)로 높아 유의하였고 첫 출산 연령군은 25세 이하 출산 연령군에 비교하여 26-30 세 그룹에서는 0.81배 (95% CI: 0.68-0.98), 31세 이상은 0.62배 (95% CI: 0.45-0.87)로 첫출산 연령이 높아질수록 대사증후군의 위험이 감소하였다. 결론적으로 대사증후군은 폐경과 첫출산 연령과 밀접하게 연관되어 있으며 향후 여성을 대상으로 하는 교육 프로그램을 개발함에 있어서 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.

This study aimed to explore companion planting to improve vegetable productivity on extensive green roofs through urban agriculture with limited substrate depth. From May to July 2021, the study conducted on the rooftop to evaluate the effects of marigold (Tagetes patula) planting ratio on the growth and pest control of cabbage (Brassica campestris). The experiment plot measured 1 m in width × 1 m in length × 0.25 m in height and 0.2 m in substrate depth. Fifteen plots were planted in varying proportions of cabbage and marigold for three repetitions per treatment: cabbage control (CC), 2:1(C₂M₁), 1:1(C₁M₁), 1:2(C₁M₂), and marigold control (MC). We found that companion planting marigolds with cabbage significantly increased cabbage growth and reduced pest infestation. The study revealed that C₁M₁, when cabbage and marigold have the same proportion, is an efficient companion planting ratio. Companion planting, in which non-crop vegetation manages pests and increases crop productivity, improves natural pest control and preserves biodiversity on rooftop urban agriculture.
