Lactobacillus acidophilus is a gram-positive, microaerophilic, and acidophilic bacterial species. L. acidophilus strains in the gastrointestinal tracts of humans and other animals have been profiled, but strains found in the canine gut have not been studied yet. Our study helps in understanding the genetic features of the L. acidophilus C5 strain found in the canine gut, determining its adaptive features evolved to survive in the canine gut environment, and in elucidating its probiotic functions. To examine the canine L. acidophilus C5 genome, we isolated the C5 strain from a Korean dog and sequenced it using PacBio SMRT sequencing technology. A comparative genomic approach was used to assess genetic relationships between C5 and six other strains and study the distinguishing features related to different hosts. We found that most genes in the C5 strain were related to carbohydrate transport and metabolism. The pan-genome of seven L. acidophilus strains contained 2,254 gene families, and the core genome contained 1,726 gene families. The phylogenetic tree of the core genes in the canine L. acidophilus C5 strain was very close to that of two strains (DSM20079 and NCFM) from humans. We identified 30 evolutionarily accelerated genes in the L. acidophilus C5 strain in the ratio of non-synonymous to synonymous substitutions (dN/dS) analysis. Five of these thirty genes were associated with carbohydrate transport and metabolism. This study provides insights into genetic features and adaptations of the L. acidophilus C5 strain to survive the canine intestinal environment. It also suggests that the evolution of the L. acidophilus genome is closely related to the host's evolutionary adaptation process.

As the agricultural land use shifts from paddy to upland, ensuring reservoir water supply stability for upland crop irrigation becomes essential. The objectives of this study were to estimate the irrigation water requirements considering the upland irrigation scenario and to evaluate the reliability of the water supply from the agricultural reservoir using resilience indexes. Two study sites, Sinheung and Hwajeong, were selected, and soybean and red peppers, the most water-intensive crops, were selected as study crops, respectively. For the irrigation scenario, two irrigation methods of traditional scheduling (which irrigates all sites at once) and rotational scheduling (which distributes irrigation by districts), along with the upland conversion rate, were considered. The net irrigation requirement was estimated through a water balance analysis. The stability of the reservoir was evaluated using resilience indexes based on the simulated 10-years reservoir water levels and drought criterion. Overall, the water supply of the reservoir was evaluated as stable during the simulated 10 years, except for the one year. Compared to the two irrigation methods, rotational scheduling resulted in lower irrigation water usage in both sites, with reductions of 1.6%, and 0.3%, respectively. As the upland conversion rate increases, the water deficit could be intensified in Hwajeong with a conversion rate exceeding 50%, showing the number of deficit(ND) over the one and a rapid increase in the deficit ratio(DR). It was confirmed that the reservoir operation criteria can be enhanced by incorporating resilience indicators along with crop growth information, thus, this will be a further study.

Analyzed in the NFDS, The average number of fires in vinyl temporary buildings is more than 1,000 in annually. And the number of deaths and injuries was around 30 people in every year. According to the National Fire Agency, There are 142,386 vinyl temporary buildings for Agriculture and Fishery, of which 4,720 are residential vinyl temporary buildings in illegally. Model house is subject to regulation in fire-related law. But, even though it's the same temporary building, Vinyl temporary building is not subject to regulation. For this reason, Vinyl temporary buildings are left in the blind spot of fire safety. Therefore, In this study, We propose that amend of Act on installation and management of firefighting systems, make of temporary fire safety controller, develop and apply of alarm system that is connected to a single-alarm smoke dretector, organize and operate volunteer fire brigade of the crop group to prevent and extinguish the fire.

This study analyzed the profitability and diagnosed business performance of fruit and vegetable (cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, strawberries, cucumbers) businesses targeting young farmers participating in the youth business incubation center of A Smart Farm Innovation Valley. The purpose of this is to provide basic data for decision-making by prospective young entrepreneurs. As a result of the analysis, Smart Farm Innovation Valley had the advantage of having a fixed rental fee. As a result, it was analyzed that various costs such as depreciation of large farm equipment, depreciation of farming facilities, repair and maintenance costs, land rent, floating capital service cost, fixed capital service cost, and land capital service cost are being reduced. However, excessive input of labor, water, electricity, other materials, and fertilizer costs was being made. Guidance to reduce these costs is expected to make a significant contribution to expanding the influx of young farmers.

The market size of Korea's seafood industry is estimated to be about 62 trillion won ('19), of which the seafood processing industry is about 10 trillion won ('19), accounting for approximately 16% of the total market size. However, the current level of processing technology required for the development of seafood products is mainly simple primary processing, such as freezing and drying raw materials (in Jeollanam-do, which ranks first in the country in terms of seafood production, primary processors account for 86% of all seafood processors). In the future, trends in the development of processing technology for seafood will become more advanced in response to changes in domestic and international food consumption patterns. Blue food tech linked to ESG, convergence and digitalization linked to the 4th industry revolution will be further advanced in line with the national seafood industry policy direction. Through this, it is expected to establish itself as an axis of future technology management in the fisheries sector based on the large and small success stories of accumulated seafood R&D commercialization.

Currently, the overall tendency for green and sustainable economic development is creating a circular economy. In actuality, agricultural output is currently benefiting greatly from the growth of the circular economy. The creation of a circular economy helps address resource scarcity, save the environment, combat climate change, and increase economic efficiency. Vietnam's economy can grow quickly and sustainably by shifting to a circular economy production model. Comparing prior growth techniques to the digital age and implementing circular economic development connected with high technology will be a fantastic opportunity to boost growth efficiency. In actuality, Vietnam currently has a large number of agricultural circular economy models. These are models: Creating and using gas from waste and wastewater in livestock and farming; model combining cultivation, livestock, and aquaculture; agro-forestry model; garden-forest model; Circular model using agricultural by-products as a catalyst or creating other valuable products; model of moderation, linked to reducing the use of growth hormones, veterinary medications, pesticides, and artificial fertilizers in agriculture and animal husbandry. Unfortunately, there have been few studies and applications of the aforementioned models, which has made it difficult to build the agricultural sector sustainably. In this paper, we outline the current situation and propose solutions to develop a circular economy model in agriculture in Vietnam for sustainable development.

Currently, our country has promoted sustainable growth in agriculture field by expanding the growth engine which is going to creat new value through agrifood industry & ICT convergence, the deployment of computerization in rural areas and the efficiency increase of agricultural administration system. Since the level of domestic agriculture-ICT convergence technology focusing on production areas is at early stage, it is necessary to deploy the successful models through the systematic development of technology and standardization including production, distribution and consumption phase. In addition, because the management and control systems of large glass greenhouse are mostly foreign products with no standardization and related small domestic companies, there is a limit to agri-food & ICT convergence activation led by the agri-food private sector. Also, it is vital to increase productivity & efficiency and improve quality throughout the entire agricultural process including production, distribution and consumption by the fusion of information technology, automatic control technology and unique ICT on existing agricultural technology, Therefore, in this paper we propose the agricultural-ICT convergence technology fields in which our country can lead technology and the standardization plans through analyzing the development, policy and standardization trends on agricultural-ICT convergence technology.
In modern society drones are actively utilized in the fields of security, defense, agriculture, communication and so on. Smart technology and artificial intelligence software have been developed with convergence, and the field of use is expected to expand further. On the point of the excellent performance of drones one of the essential technologies is the wireless communication that make the ground facility receive the video streaming obtained by the drones in the air. In the research the concept of communication region is proposed to cover the both the low altitude region for Wi-Fi communication and the high altitude region for LTE communication for the sake of video transmission. Also the hybrid communication structure is designed along the proposed concept and the proposed system is implemented as a communication system in the small size which can be mounted in a small size of drone. It is confirmed that the proposed system contains the effectiveness by showing the ability to successfully transmit HD video streaming in the range of 500 meters and the transfer time between two different communication systems is measured in 200msec by the experiments.
Recently, to support location-based services, there have been many researches which consider the spatial network. For this, there are many experimental data for data processing on the road network. However, the data to process the trajectory of moving objects are not suitable. Therefore, we propose index structure to process the trajectory data on the road network and the trajectory data generation algorithm. In addition, to prove efficiency of our index structure and algorithm, we show that edge-based trajectory data are generated through the proposed algorithm using the map data of San Francisco Bay.
