  • This paper represents fundamental developments in Fuzzy and Neural approaches. The Fuzzy Controller(FC) and plant are cascaded in Adaptive framework. Each of which produces its outputs. The adjustable parameters all pertain to the fuzzy controller is implemented as an Adaptive FC to adjust the environments of the plant. There is an error meaure block which is a difference between the actual state and desired state. We introduce error back propagation algorithm in neural method. To speed up convergence, we follow a steepest decent in the sense that each parameter set update leads to a smaller error measure and is learned by this methodology. Inverted pendulum is a typical testbed to measure the effectiveness of nonlinear control system. finally we simulated the adaptive fuzzy controller to be able to bring back to the upright position of the its angle and angular velocity.

진폭-위상 복합비교 기법과 상관형 위상비교 기법의 방향탐지 정확도 분석 (Analysis of Direction Finding Accuracy for Amplitude-Phase Comparison and Correlative Interferometer Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 진폭-위상 복합비교 방향탐지 방식과 상관형 위상비교 방향탐지 방식의 방향탐지 정확도에 대해서 기술하였다. 복합비교 방식은 지향성 빔 특성을 갖는 스파이럴 안테나를 사용하고 상관형 방식은 블레이드 안테나를 사용하여 방위각 $360^{\circ}$를 동시에 탐지할 수 있는 균일원형배열(UCA: uniform circular array) 구조로 안테나를 배치하고 방위각의 방향탐지 정확도를 분석하였다. 3개의 안테나를 배치하는 경우 신호잡음비(SNR)가 20dB이고 파장에 대한 안테나 사이의 거리($D/{\lambda}$)가 0.5인 경우 복합비교 방식은 방향탐지 정확도가 $4.0^{\circ}$, 상관형 위상비교 방식은 방향탐지 정확도가 $1.8^{\circ}$로 나타나서 상관형 위상비교 방식이 정확도가 높은 것을 확인하였다.

  • 내압을 받는 섬유강화 복합적층 파이프 구조를 해석하기 우해 감절점 원통형 쉘 유한요소를 이용하였다. 이요소는 lockintg현상을 제거하고, 수렴성을 개선하기 위해 감차적분기법, 변위형의 추가, 가정된 전단 변형 도장을 사용한 9절점의 3차원 쉘 유한요소이다. 이 유한요소를 이용하여 여러개의 예제를 해석하고, 결과를 이론식 및 다른 구조해석 프로그램과 비교하였다. 비교결과 유한요소의 수렴도 양호하였고, 섬유강과 복합적층 파이프 구조의 섬유 배향 각도를 증가시킴에 따라 파이프의 처짐은 감소하면서 파이프의 강성이 증가함을 알 수 있고 이는 또한 90.deg.적층 각도가 내압을 받는 파이프 구조의 hoop tension을 유효하게 받을 수 있음을 보여주고 있다.

Avalanche and Bit Independence Properties of Photon-counting Double Random Phase Encoding in Gyrator Domain

  • In this paper, we evaluate cryptographic properties of a double random phase encoding (DRPE) scheme in the discrete Gyrator domain with avalanche and bit independence criterions. DRPE in the discrete Gyrator domain is reported to have higher security than traditional DRPE in the Fourier domain because the rotation angle involved in the Gyrator transform is viewed as additional secret keys. However, our numerical experimental results demonstrate that the DRPE in the discrete Gyrator domain has an excellent bit independence feature but does not possess a good avalanche effect property and hence needs to be improved to satisfy with acceptable avalanche effect that would be robust against statistical-based cryptanalysis. We compare our results with the avalanche and bit independence criterion (BIC) performances of the conventional DRPE scheme, and improve the avalanche effect of DRPE in the discrete Gyrator domain by integrating a photon counting imaging technique. Although the Gyrator transform-based image cryptosystem has been studied, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on a cryptographic evaluation of discrete Gyrator transform with avalanche and bit independence criterions.

열처리된 A3003 알루미늄합금 용접부의 미세조직 및 기계적 특성 (Microstructrue and Mechanical Properties of A3003 Aluminium Alloy Welds by Heat-treatment)

  • The present work was aimed to examine the variation of microstructure and mechanical properties by annealing($100{\sim}620^{\circ}C$, $2{\sim}8hr$) in A3003 Al alloy welded pipes. The A3003 Al alloy pipes with 34 mm in external diameter and 1.3 mm in thickness were manufactured by high frequency induction welding with the V shaped convergence angle $6.7^{\circ}$ and power input 50 kW. The tensile and yield strength decreased with increasing the annealing temperature remarkably, but elongation increased remarkably. Vickers hardness in welds decreased with increasing the annealing temperature remarkably. The primary intermetallic compound of $Al_{12}(Fe,\;Mn)_2Si$ was precipitated in welds as the same base metal. In a certain experimental condition, the welds line in A3003 alloys disappeared at $450^{\circ}C$ for 2 hr because of the same mechanical property and structure between welds and base metal.

Simulation of Low Temperature Plasmas for an Ultra Violet Light Source using Coplanar Micro Dielectric Barrier Discharges

  • The discharge characteristics of pulse-driven coplanar micro barrier discharges for an ultraviolet (UV) light source using Ne-Xe mixture have been investigated using a two-dimensional fluid simulation at near-atmospheric pressure. The densities of electrons, the radiative excited states, the metastable excited states, and the power loss are investigated with the variations of gas pressure and the gap distance. With a fixed gap distance, the number of the radiative states $Xe^*(^3P_1)$ increases with the increasing driving voltage, but this number shows weak dependency on the gas when that pressure is over 400 Torr. However, the number of the radiative states increases with the increase of the gap distance at a fixed voltage, while the power loss decreases. Therefore, a long gap discharge has higher efficiency for UV generation than does a short gap discharge. A slight change in the electrode tilt angle enhances the number of radiative species 2 or 3 times with the same operation conditions. Therefore, the intensity and efficiency of the UV light source can be controlled independently by changing the gap distance and the electrode structure.

  • This work proposes a highly efficient sensorless motor driver chip for various permanent-magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) in a wide power range. The motor driver chip is composed of two important parts. The digital part is a sensorless controller consisting mainly of an angle estimation block and a speed control block. The analog part consists of a gate driver, which is able to sense the phase current of a motor. The sensorless algorithms adapted in this paper include a sliding mode observer (SMO) method that has high robust characteristics regarding parameter variations of PMSMs. Fabricated SMO chips detect back electromotive force signals. Furthermore, motor current-sensing blocks are included with a 10-bit successive approximation analog-to-digital converter and various gain current amplifiers for proper sensorless operations. Through a fabricated SMO chip, we were able to demonstrate rated powers of 32 W, 200 W, and 1,500 W.

캔틸레버 복합 적층판의 3차원 진동해석 (Three-Dimensional Vibration Analysis of Cantilevered Laminated Composite Plates)

  • 본 논문은 캔틸레버 복합 적층판의 고유진동에 대하여 3차원으로 해석한 연구를 제시하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고정단에서의 경계조건을 엄밀히 만족하고 수학적으로 완전한 다항식으고 표현되는 근사 변위와 Ritz 방법을 이용하여 Lagrangian범함수의 정상값을 구하였다. 3차원 모델의 정확도는 무차원 진동수의 수렴연구를 통하여 이루어졌으며, 또한 기존 문헌상의 해석 및 실험 결과와의 비교를 통하여 본 연구 결과의 정확성을 검토하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 3차원 진동수의 결과를 이용하여 캔틸레버 복합 적층판의 기하학 및 재료 매개변수 즉, 형상비(a/b), 폭두께비(a/h), 재료의 직교 이방성, 플라이 수(NP), 섬유 배향각(θ), 및 적층 순서가 미치는 효과를 설명하였다.

완전도체 스트립 회절격자에 의한 E-분극 반사계수의 급속한 수염해 (The Fast Convergent Solution of E-Polarized Reflection Coefficient by a Perfect Conductor Strip Grating)

  • 완전도체 스트립 회절격자에 의한 E-분극 산문제를 모멘트법을 이용하여 해석하였다. E분극의 경우는 청도 되는 표면전류밀도가 모서리 양 끝에서 매우 높을 것으로 추측된다. 이때 스트립에 청도되는 표면전류밀도는 차수가 0인 Ultraspherical 다항식의 급수와 적절한 모서리 경계조건을 만족하는 함수의 곱의 급수로 전개하였다. 전류밀도와 반사계수에 대한수직결과를 기존의 다른 수틀과 비교하였다. 본 논문의 수치결과가 기존의 다른 수를 사용했을 때 보다 기하학적 반사계수의 경도가 매우 빠르게 향상됨을 보였다. 기하학적 반사계수에서의 급변점 위치는 입사각, 스트립 폭 및 스트립 주기를 변화시킴으로써 이동시킬 수 있었다.

Modeling and Posture Control of Lower Limb Prosthesis Using Neural Networks

  • The prosthesis of current commercialized apparatus has considerable problems, requiring improvement. Especially, LLP(Lower Limb Prosthesis)-related problems have improved, but it cannot provide normal walking because, mainly, the gait control of the LLP does not fit with patient's gait manner. To solve this problem, HCI((Human Computer Interaction) that adapts and controls LLP postures according to patient's gait manner more effectively is studied in this research. The proposed control technique has 2 steps: 1) the multilayer neural network forecasts angles of gait of LLP by using the angle of normal side of lower limbs; and 2) the adaptive neural controller manages the postures of the LLP based on the predicted joint angles. According to the experiment data, the prediction error of hip angles was 0.32[deg.], and the predicted error of knee angles was 0.12[deg.] for the estimated posture angles for the LLP. The performance data was obtained by applying the reference inputs of the LLP controller while walking. Accordingly, the control performance of the hip prosthesis improved by 80% due to the control postures of the LLP using the reference input when comparing with LQR controller.
