  • 최근 몇 년간 무인항공기(UAV) 시장이 점차 커지면서 군뿐만 아니라 민간, 상업적으로도 무인항공기의 수요가 증가하고 있다. 이에 무인항공기의 한 종류인 에어드론(AR.Drone)을 활용한 실시간 원격 쿼드로터(Quadrotor) 퓨전제어기법을 제안하였다. 특히, 본 논문에서는 아이폰(i-phone) 기반의 제어기법이 아닌, 안드로이드(Android) 기반의 퓨전제어기법을 통하여 에어드론을 실시간으로 원격조정가능하게 했는데, 이는 아이폰 App 개발 시 제공되는 API와 PC 기반의 쿼드로터 제어기법을 퓨전하는 방식으로 쿼드로터의 비행제어와 영상처리를 분리시켜 기존의 방식보다 영상처리 속도를 향상시키는 방식이다. 그리고 제안된 퓨전제어기법의 우수성을 보여주기 위해, 기존의 방식들과 영상처리 속도를 비교분석하였다.

  • Autonomous driving of unmanned aerial vehicles may have to pay expensive cost to create and switch new routes if unexpected obstacles exist or local map updates occured by the control system due to incorrect route information. Integrating digital twins into the path-following process requires more computing resources to quickly switch the wrong path to an alternative path, but it can quickly update the path during flight. In this study, we design a DEVS-based simulation environment which can modify optimized paths through short-term simulation of multi-virtual UAVs for applying digital twin concepts to path follow. Through simulation, we confirmed the possibility of increasing the mission stability of UAV.

  • 드론을 활용한 산업이 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 군집비행 연구는 산업 분야, 군사 분야에서 주요작업 성공확률을 높일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 전파 음영지역에서의 드론의 군집비행 제어를 위해 얼굴인식을 바탕으로 위치제어를 수행한다. 이러한 기능의 구현을 통해 드론의 효과적인 군집비행이 가능할 것이며 정밀한 제어가 요구되는 분야에서 이용 가능할 것으로 기대된다. 향후 추가적인 제어방식으로 개선할 것이다.

  • RC 무선조종기를 통해 드론을 원격으로 제어하는 경우, 제어 데이터의 기밀성과 무결성은 드론 제어권 탈취 방지를 위한 핵심 고려 사항이다. 본 논문은 드론 RC 무선조종기 제어 데이터 보호를 위해 경량 암호화 알고리즘 중 하나인 Lightweight Encryption Algorithm (LEA)를 적용하는 방법을 제시한다. LEA 는 32 비트 마이크로 컨트롤러인 ARM Cortex-M4 와 같은 플랫폼에 최적화된 구조로, 저전력으로 데이터 보호를 유지하면서 효율적인 암호화 알고리즘을 적용할 수 있다.

  • Recently popularized drone technologies have revealed that low-cost small unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) can be a significant threat to prevailing power by operating in group or in swarms. Researchers in many countries have tried to utilize integrated swarm unmanned aerial system(SUAS) in the battlefield. Agency for Defense Development also identified four core technologies in developing SUAS: swarm control, swarm network, swarm information, and swarm collaboration, and the authors started researches on swarm control and network technologies in order to be able to operate vehicle platforms as the first stage. This paper introduces design and integration of SUAS consisting of small fixed-wing UAVs, swarm control and network algorithms, a ground control system, and a launcher, with which swarm control and network technologies have been verified by flight tests. 19 fixed-wing UAVs succeeded in swarm flight in the final flight test for the first time as a domestic research.

  • This paper presents the results of the design, fabrication and tether test for a gross weight 20 kg tilt-duct VTOL aerial robot. The tilt-duct vehicle, a tri-ducts air-vehicle, which composed of two main tilt ducts for thrust and an aft-fan for pitch attitude control, has been developed as an aerial platform. The research on the air vehicle has been focused on the hover characteristics and controllability to improve the thrust and stability. The tether test for measuring various performance of vehicle and evaluating controllability have been carried out to figure out effects of modified main-prop linkage, actuator, duct configuration and control surfaces.

  • The existing smart farm technology has been systematized for the mass production rather than the consumer. There are many problems such as economical aspect to apply to actual rural environment due to aging. The purpose of this study is to apply smart farm technology based on the applicability of population aged in rural areas. Due to the heat wave, the crops in general greenhouse cultivation facilities suffered from damage such as sunlight damage. To minimize such damage, adjust the temperature and humidity environment or install a light-shielding film. However, the workers in the rural areas are aging and the elderly who are farming alone have a lot of difficulties in doing so. In the case of people with weak physical strength, there is a danger that they may lead to safety accidents when carrying heavy loads. In this paper, we propose 'Smart Palm capable of automatic transportation function', applying small smart vehicles that follow workers to existing smart farms to improve and prevent these problems. It is a smart farm that performs the control functions of the existing smart greenhouse environment, installs the rail for each trough, and has a vehicle that follows the worker. The smart app can directly control the greenhouse and the vehicle remotely manually.

  • The application area based on UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is continuously increasing as time passing by. In particular the UAVs which consist of more than four horizontal propellers and the functionality of VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) are utilized in diverse platforms and application products due to their safety and aerodynamically simpler design and architectures. Most UAV missions are controlled by GCSs(Ground Control System). The GCSs are generally connected to the internet and get electrical map and environmental information such as temperature, humidity, wind direction and so on. In this paper, we design a system that UAV has capability of approaching to a certain ship and monitoring her efficiently by using AIS(Auto Identification System) information.

  • Multi-copter of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was initially developed as strategic technology in the only military field, but it is developing into an industrial field with a wide range of applications in the civil sector based on the development and convergence of aviation technology and information and communication technology. Currently, the degree of utilization of multi-copter is increasing in various industries for the purpose of performing classic tactical missions, logistics transportation, farm management, internet supply, video filming, weather management, life-saving, etc, and active technology development responding to market demand. Existing commercial multi-copter mainly use an electric energy propulsion system consisting of an electric battery and a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor. It is the limitations for usage in the flying time (up to 20 minutes) and payload (less than 20 kg). this study aims to overcome these limitations and expand the commercialization of engine-powered multi-copter of UAV in various industries in the futures.

  • It is a key role in leading and activating coding education as a process to solve problems creatively to produce and provide the educational contents on the basis of 3D printing. In this paper, we develop a variety of fusion contents to use 3D printing and 8bit MCU base control board which provides specific functions through Arduino. The developed control program conducts various packet monitoring more than ten times per a second, supporting intrinsically full duplex. In addition, communication protocol optimized in conveying a lot of information enables to control different contents. The contents produced with the control board and 3D printing are useful as a programming education tool to train the principle and the concept of coding.
