축대칭 디프드로잉 공정의 웹 기반 해석시스템 개발 (Development of A Web-based Simulation System for Axi-Symmetric Deep Drawing)

  • In this study, a web-based system was developed by utilizing finite element method and virtual system designed using Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML). The simulation program for axi-symetric sheet forming is developed using finite flement method. The developed system consists of two modules, client module and server module. The client module was developed by using Active-X control. The input data for FEM calculation is transferred to the server module by using communication protocol. Then sever module performs several successive processes: input data generation, forming simulation, conversion of results to VRML format. After that, the results from the simulation can be visualized on the web browser in client computer. Besides, client module offers the capability to control and navigate on virtual forming machine and calculated result. By using this system simulation result can be investigated more realistically in virtual environment including forming machine.

  • In this paper we propose a framework of an open architectured manufacturing system base on CORBA middleware. The manufacturing system consists of four configurable software modules 9mchine control module, database module, monitoring module, and operation module). Each module is distributed through the network and integrated with CORBA middleware technology. CORBA Characteristics including independence from programming languages, computing platforms and networking protocols makes us to easily develop new applications and to effectively integrate new module into existing distributed systems. The CORBA program used in this study is The ACE ORB (TAO) developed by the laboratory in Washington University.

Hybrid Double Direction Blocking Sub-Module for MMC-HVDC Design and Control

  • Dealing with the DC link fault poses a technical problem for an HVDC based on a modular multilevel converter. The fault suppressing mechanisms of several sub-module topologies with DC fault current blocking capacity are examined in this paper. An improved half-bridge sub-module topology with double direction control switch is also designed to address the additional power consumption problem, and a sub-module topology called hybrid double direction blocking sub module (HDDBSM) is proposed. The DC fault suppression characteristics and sub-module capacitor voltage balance problem is also analyzed, and a self-startup method is designed according to the number of capacitors. The simulation model in PSCAD/EMTDC is built to verify the self-startup process and the DC link fault suppression features.

  • 완전 이식형 인공중이 시스템을 위한 음성 신호처리 및 제어 모듈을 소형 마이크로컨트롤러를 사용하여 저전력형으로 설계 하였다 설계된 모듈은 입력되는 음성신호를 난청자의 역치에 맞추어 이득을 조정하는 등의 신호처리를 수행함과 동시에 체내 이식부의 제어를 수행하게 된다. 설계된 마이크로컨트롤러는 전원이 켜지면 사용자의 청력 손실에 맞추어서 주파수별로 차등 되는 이득을 주도록 실시간으로 음성신호를 처리하게 된다. 그러나 체외에서 제어신호가 입력될 경우 수신된 제어 신호에 의해 마이크로컨트롤러는 인터럽트 서브루틴을 수행하여 전원 제어, 볼륨 조절과 같은 제어 명령을 수행한 후 다시 음성 신호를 처리하도록 하였다. 설계된 모듈을 구현한 후 구현된 시스템의 동작을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

LNG 저장탱크용 환경 센서 모듈을 이용한 유무선 통신 모듈 개발 (Development of Wire/Wireless Communication Modules using Environmental Sensor Modules for LNG Storage Tanks)

  • LNG 저장 작업 중 기계결함, 부주의 등으로 인해 사고가 꾸준히 발생하고 있다. 이전 연구에서는 위험을 미리 감지하는 압력, 온도, 가스 농도, 플로우 측정이 가능한 환경 센서 모듈을 개발하고 누출된 가스량에 따른 응답속도를 측정하였었다. 본 논문에서는 환경 센서 모듈이 측정한 데이터를 SPI, UART, LTE의 유무선 네트워크와 연결된 임베디드 기기들에 안전하게 전송해주는 유무선 통신 모듈의 개발을 제안한다. 먼저 환경 센서와 연동 가능한 데이터 통신 모듈을 설계한다. Local Control Part의 각 장치간 프로토콜과 Local Control Part와 Remote Control Part의 유무선 프로토콜을 설계한다. 이더넷, WiFi, LTE 통신 모듈을 설계하고 임베디드 제어기와 연동 가능한 UART, SPI 채널을 설계하였다. 그 결과, 각 임베디드 기기가 유선, 무선 동시 통신하면서 환경 센서 모듈이 측정한 데이터를 전송함을 UI(User Interface)를 통해 확인할 수 있었다.

네트워크 기반 유도전동기 제어를 위한 고성능 LonWorks 제어모듈 개발 (Development of High Performance LonWorks Fieldbus Control Modules for Network-based Induction Motor Control)

  • The interface between host processor and the ShortStack Micro Server may be a Serial Communication Interface(SCI). The LonWorks control module with a high performance is developed, which is composed of the 8 bit PIC Microprocessor for host processor and the smart neuron chip for the ShoretStack Micro Server. This intelligent control board is verified as proceeding the various function tests from experimental system with an boost pump and inverter driving systems. It is also confirmed that the developed control module provides stably 0-10VDC linear signal to the input signal of inverter driving system for varying the induction motor speed. Thus, the experimental results show that the fabricating intelligent board carried out very well the various functions in the wide operating ranges of boost pump system. This developed control module expect to apply to industrial fields to require the comparatively exact control and monitoring such as multi-motor driving system with inverter, variable air volume system and the boost pump water supply systems.

  • This paper is intended to provide a method to design control software for the TCMS, train control and monitoring system. The TCMS with this control software will be applied KOREA Standard EMU. The control software is designed by SCADE Case tool to concern safety and reliability. The function for the EMU is implemented in software easily programmed, using a functional block, graphic programming language. The control software has modular design and each module is tested with SCADE simulator. This time we focus a door control module, present a design method and a simulation method for that module.

A Teleoperated Cleaning Robot for a High Radioactive Environment

  • The Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute has developed a teleoperated cleaning robot for use in the radioactive zone of the isolation room of the Irradiated Material Examination Facility where direct human access to the interior is strictly limited. The teleoperated cleaning robot that was designed to completely eliminate human interaction with the hazardous radioactive contaminants has five remotely replaceable submodules - a mobile module for navigation, a cleaning module for dislodging and sucking contaminated waste, a sensing module for obstacle avoidance, a collection module for storing the acquired waste, and a cover module for protecting the collection module. This cleaning robot is capable of cleaning the contaminated floor surface of the isolation room and collecting loose dry spent nuclear fuel debris and other radioactive waste fixed or scattered on the floor surface. The developed cleaning robot is operated either by a manual control or by autonomous control in conjunction with a graphical simulator, by which the human operator can monitor and intervene the robot performing cleanup tasks in the isolation room. In this paper, we present the mechanical and environmental design considerations and development of the teleoperated cleaning robot for radioactive isolation room use. We also demonstrate its mock-up performance test results from the viewpoint of a remote cleanup operation and remote maintenance.

무인화 환경 기반의 상점 자동 관리를 위한 지능형 서비스 로봇 시스템 (A Development of Intelligent Service Robot System for Store Management in Unmanned Environment)

  • This paper describes an intelligent service robot system for managing a store in an unmanned environment. The robot can be a good replacement for humans because it is possible to work all day and to remember lots of information. We design a system architecture for configuring many intelligent functions of intelligent service robot system which consists of four layers; a User Interaction Layer, a Behavior Scheduling Layer, a Intelligent Module Layer, and a Hardware Layer. We develop an intelligent service robot 'Part Timer' based on the designed system architecture. The 'Part Timer' has many intelligent function modules such as face detection-recognition-tracking module, speech recognition module, navigation module, manipulator module, appliance control module, etc. The 'Part Timer' is possible to answer the phone and this function gives convenient interface to users.
