주거 환경 적용을 위한 Slotless 선형 동기전동기의 위치 피드백 제어에 따른 구동 특성 개선 (Driving Characteristics Improvement according to the Position Feedback Control of Slotless Linear Synchronous Motor for Living Application)

  • Slotless 선형 동기 전동기(Linear Synchronous Motor)는 가동자의 구조가 간단하고 1차측 철심의 슬롯을 제거하여 갭 중의 자기에너지를 균일화해 추력 변동을 억제할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 또한 고효율로 구동이 가능하고 제어성이 타 선형 전동기에 비해 뛰어나 반송장치의 적용이 확대 되고 있는 실정이다. 하지만 주거 환경 분야의 적용은 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Slotless 선형 동기 전동기의 주거 환경 분야 적용을 위해 위치 피드백 제어에 따른 구동 특성을 고찰하고 속도 진동의 최소화와 안정된 응답 특성을 얻기 위해 부하 탑재와 가속도를 변화시켜 위치 피드백 제어를 비교함으로써 제어기의 유용함을 입증한다.

THERMAL FRICTION TORQUE CHARACTERISTICS OF STAINLESS BALL BEARINGS

  • Stainless steel ball bearings are used in the control element drive mechanism and driving mechanisms such as step motor and gear boxes for the integral nuclear reactor, SMART. The bearings operate in pressurized pure water (primary coolant) at high temperature and should be lubricated with only this water because it is impossible to supply greases or any additional lubricant since the whole nuclear rector system should be perfectly sealed and the coolant cannot contain ingredients for bearing lubrication. Temperature of water changes from room temperature to about 120 degree Celsius and pressure rises up to 15MPa in the nuclear reactor. It can be anticipated that the frictional characteristics of the ball bearings changes according to the operating conditions, however little data are available in the literature. It is found that friction coefficient of 440C stainless steel itself does not change sharply according to temperature variation from the former research, and the friction coefficient is about 0.45 at low speed range. In this research frictional characteristics of the assembled ball bearings are investigated. A special tribometer is used to simulate the axial loading and the bearing operating conditions, temperature and pressure in the driving mechanism in the nuclear reactor. Highly purified water is used as lubricant ‘ and the water is heated up to 120 degree Celsius and pressurized to 15MPa. Friction force is monitored by the torque transducer.

모듈러 슬래브교량의 횡방향 연결부 구조적 거동 및 사용성 평가 (Evaluation of Structural Behavior and Serviceability on Transverse Connection for Modular Slab Bridge System)

  • 최근 구조물의 노후화에 따른 급속 교체, 교통 영향 및 환경 영향 최소화의 요구에 따라 프리캐스트 기술을 활용한 모듈러 교량 연구가 활발하게 진행중에 있다. 본 연구는 모듈러 교량과 관련된 연구의 일환으로 모듈러 슬래브 교량의 횡방향 연결부를 대상으로 반복하중 재하 실험을 통하여 횡방향 연결부의 반복 하중에 따른 구조적 거동 특성을 파악하고 사용성 평가하였다. 반복하중의 크기를 결정하기 위하여 RC 보를 1개 제작하였으며 반복하중 재하 실험을 위하여 일체형 RC 보 1개와 분절형 실험체 3개를 제작하였다. 실험결과, 분절형 실험체는 하중 반복 횟수가 증가함에 따라 처짐 및 균열폭이 거의 일정하거나 수렴하는 경향을 나타냈으며, 일체형 RC 보와 비교하여 최대 처짐, 잔류처짐, 균열폭 모두 작게 나타났다. 또한 사용하중을 반복 재하한 실험체의 경우, 처짐 및 균열에 대한 사용성 기준을 모두 만족하였다.

항공기 전기체 정적구조시험의 반력 분석 (Analysis on Reactions of Full-Scale Airframe Static Structural Test)

  • 본 논문은 항공기 전기체 구조시험에서 6개 자유도를 구속하는 자세구속시스템에서 발생하는 반력들 분석에 대해 다루고 있다. 반력에는 시험의 모든 오차(제어오차와 기타시험오차)를 포함하고 있으므로 반력분석을 통한 시험오차를 평가하는 연구가 의미가 있고 이를 위해서는 우선 바른 반력산출이 우선되어야 하고 바른 반력산출이 본 연구의 초점이다. 본 연구에서 반력을 공칭반력(Rn)과 시험오차반력(Rce, Rerr)의 합으로 표시할 것을 제시하였고 초기상태(0%DLL)에서 이미 내포한 시험오차특성과 하중증분에 따라 발생하는 시험오차특성을 구분하기 위해 반력을 초기상태반력과 상대 반력으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 선미익기 전기체 구조시험 데이터를 활용하여 정량적 반력분석 결과 제어오차로 인한 반력(Rce)값은 전 하중레벨에서 크기변화가 크지 않으며, 합성력 크기가 82.8N 이내로 유지되었고, 이는 하중부가 전체널에 대한 제어오차(TMF)가 -30~40N 범위 내에서 큰 변화 없이 유지되기 때문이다. 상대반력분석을 통해 산출된 기타시험오차(Rerr_r)의 합성력 크기는 하중 증분에 따라 증대되며, 그 크기도 Rce_r보다는 매우 크게 증대됨(최대치808N)을 보여주었고 바른 상대반력 산출을 위해서는 시험체 변형을 고려해야 함을 각 성분별(X0, Y0, Z0) Rerr_r 분석을 통해 보였다. 시험체 변형을 고려한 반력산출은 시험체에 가해지는 힘들의 작용점 이동을 산출할 수 있는 시험체 변형특성식을 요구한다는 것을 보였다.

Incompatible deformation and damage evolution of mixed strata specimens containing a circular hole

  • Analysing the incompatible deformation and damage evolution around the tunnels in mixed strata is significant for evaluating the tunnel stability, as well as the interaction between the support system and the surrounding rock mass. To investigate this issue, confined compression tests were conducted on upper-soft and lower-hard strata specimens containing a circular hole using a rock testing system, the physical mechanical properties were then investigated. Then, the incompatible deformation and failure modes of the specimens were analysed based on the digital speckle correlation method (DSCM) and Acoustic Emission (AE) data. Finally, numerical simulations were conducted to explore the damage evolution of the mixed strata. The results indicate that at low inclination angles, the deformation and v-shaped notches inside the hole are controlled by the structure plane. Progressive spalling failure occurs at the sidewalls along the structure plane in soft rock. But the transmission of the loading force between the soft rock and hard rock are different in local. At high inclination angles, v-shaped notches are approximately perpendicular to the structure plane, and the soft and hard rock bear common loads. Incompatible deformation between the soft rock and hard rock controls the failure process. At inclination angles of 0°, 30° and 90°, incompatible deformations are closely related to rock damage. At 60°, incompatible deformations and rock damage are discordant due that the soft rock and hard rock alternately bears the major loads during the failure process. The failure trend and modes of the numerical results agree very well with those observed in the experimental results. As the inclination angles increase, the proportion of the shear or tensile damage exhibits a nonlinear increase or decrease, suggesting that the inclination angle of mixed strata may promote shear damage and restrain tensile damage.

Effect of Cisplatin on $Na^+/H^+$ Antiport in the OK Renal Epithelial Cell Line

  • Cis-diamminedichloroplatinum II (cisplatin), an effective antitumor agent, induces acute renal failure by unknown mechanisms. To investigate direct toxic effects of cisplatin in the renal proximal tubular transport system, OK cell line was selected as a cell model and $Na^+/H^+$ antiport activity was evaluated during a course of cisplatin treatment. The cells grown to confluence were treated with cisplatin for 1 hour, washed, and incubated for up to 48 hours. At appropriate intervals, cells were examined for $Na^+/H^+$ antiport activity by measuring the recovery of intracellular pH (pHi) after acid loading. Cisplatin of less than 50 ${\mu}M$ induced no significant changes in cell viability in 24 hours, but it decreased the viability markedly after 48 hours. In cells exposed to 50 ${\mu}M$ cisplatin for 24 hours, the $Na^+-dependent$ pHi recovery (i.e., $Na^+/H^+$ antiport) was drastically inhibited with no changes in the $Na^+-independent$ recovery. Kinetic analysis of the $Na^+-dependent$ pHi recovery indicated that the Vmax was reduced, but the apparent Km was not altered. The cellular $Na^+$ and $K^+$ contents determined immediately before the transport measurement appeared to be similar in the control and cisplatin group, thus, the driving force for $Na^+-coupled$ transport was not different. These results indicate that cisplatin exposure impairs the $Na^+/H^+$ antiport capacity in OK cells. It is, therefore, possible that in patients treated with a high dose of cisplatin, proximal tubular mechanism for proton secretion (hence $HCO_3^-$ reabsorption) could be attenuated, leading to a metabolic acidosis (proximal renal tubular acidosis).

인공 종양대치물을 이용한 사지구제술후의 보행 분석 (Gait Analysis of Patients with Tumor Prosthesis around the Knee)

  • Prosthetic replacement is one of the most common methods of reconstruction after resection of malignant tumor around the knee. Gait analysis provides a relative objective data about the gait function of patients with prosthesis. The purpose of this study was to compare the gait pattern of the patients who underwent limb salvage surgery with prosthesis for distal femur and that of patients with prosthesis for proximal tibia. This study included ten patients (4 males, 6 females, mean age 22.7 years, range 14-36) who underwent a wide resection and Kotz hinged modular reconstruction prosthesis replacement and six normal adult(Control). The site of bone tumor was the distal femur (Group 1) in six patients and proximal tibia (Group 2) in 4 patients. The follow-up period ranged from 15 to 82 months (mean : 33 months). The evaluation consisted of clinical assessment, radiographic assessment, gait analysis using VICON 370 Motion Analysis System. The gait analysis included the linear parameters such as, walking velocity, cadence, step length, stride length, stance time, swing time, single support and double support time and the three-dimensional kinematics (joint rotation angle, velocity of joint rotation) of ankle, knee, hip and pelvis in sagittal, coronal and transverse plane. For the kinetic evaluation, the moment of force (unit: Nm/kg) and power (unit: Watt/kg) of ankle, knee and hip joint in sagittal, coronal and transverse plane. In the linear parameters, cadence, velocity, step time and single support were decreased in both group 1 and group 2 compared with control. Double support decreased in group 2 compared with control significantly(p<.05). In contrast to our hypothesis, there was no significant difference between group 1 and group 2. 시각 정보의 차단이 드롭랜딩 시 착지 전략에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Visual Information Blockage on Landing Strategy during Drop Landing)

  • This study aimed to determine the effects of the blockage of visual feedback on joint dynamics of the lower extremity. Fifteen healthy male subjects(age: $24.1{\pm}2.3\;yr$, height: $178.7{\pm}5.2\;cm$, weight: $73.6{\pm}6.6\;kg$) participated in this study. Each subject performed single-legged landing from a 45 cm-platform with the eyes open or closed. During the landing performance, three-dimensional kinematics of the lower extremity and ground reaction force(GRF) were recorded using a 8 infrared camera motion analysis system (Vicon MX-F20, Oxford Metric Ltd, Oxford, UK) with a force platform(ORG-6, AMTI, Watertown, MA). The results showed that at 50 ms prior to foot contact and at the time of foot contact, ankle plantar-flexion angle was smaller(p<.05) but the knee joint valgus and the hip flexion angles were greater with the eyes closed as compared to with the eyes open(p<.05). An increase in anterior GRF was observed during single-legged landing with the eyes closed as compared to with the eyes open(p<.05). Time to peak GRF in the medial, vertical and posterior directions occurred significantly earlier when the eyes were closed as compared to when the eyes were open(p<.05). Landing with the eyes closed resulted in a higher peak vertical loading rate(p<.05). In addition, the shock-absorbing power decreased at the ankle joint(p<.05) but increased at the hip joints when landing with the eyes closed(p<.05). When the eyes were closed, landing could be characterized by a less plantarflexed ankle joint and more flexed hip joint, with a faster time to peak GRF. These results imply that subjects are able to adapt the control of landing to different feedback conditions. Therefore, we suggest that training programs be introduced to reduce these injury risk factors.

가새 설치에 따른 벤로형 지붕 연동온실의 구조성능 평가 (Structural Performance Evaluation of a Multi-span Greenhouse with Venlo-type Roof According to Bracing Installation)

  • 본 연구에서는 실대형 실험과 구조해석을 통해서 현장에서 사용되는 가새 시스템을 적용한 강관 골조 플라스틱 연동온실의 횡하중 가력시험을 수행하고 성능을 분석하였다. 횡강성과 응력을 분석하기 위해 실험체에 변위와 변형률계를 각각 9개소 및 16개소 설치하였으며 가새의 설치 유무에 따른 성능을 비교하기 위해 구조해석을 수행하였다. 실대형 실험과 가새의 설치 유무에 따른 구조해석 결과 비교에서 구조물의 횡강성이 많은 차이를 보였다. 실험체의 측고 부근에서 측정한 횡강성은 가새 시스템을 설치함으로 강성을 최대 44%까지 증가시켰다. 현장에서 사용하는 가새의 접합부가 충분한 강성을 확보하지 못함으로써 외력을 전체 구조물에 적절히 전달하지 못하여 횡강성이 구조해석 결과보다 많이 저하되는 현상이 나타났다. 따라서 온실 설계 시 구조성능의 신뢰성을 높이기 위해서 가새 시스템의 연결방법, 설치위치, 부재의 최대길이 등 온실의 접합부에 대한 명확한 시공방법과 설계기준이 정립되어 온실 설계가 이루어져야 할 것으로 판단된다.

휠체어 추진속도 및 등받이 경사각도에 따른 둔부 압력 변화 특성 (Characteristics of the Buttock Interface Pressure According to Wheelchair Propulsion Speed and Various Back Reclined Seating Position)

  • Pressure ulcers are serious complications of tissue damage that can develop in patients with diminished pain sensation and diminished mobility. Pressure ulcers can result in irreversible tissue damage caused by ischemia resulting from external loading. There are many intrinsic and extrinsic contributors to the problem, including interface tissue pressure, shear, temperature, moisture, hygiene, nutrition, tissue tolerance, sensory and motor dysfunction, disease and infection, posture, and body support systems. The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationship between buttock interface pressure and seating position, wheelchair propulsion speed. Seated-interface pressure was measured using the Force Sensing Array pressure mapping system. Twenty subjects propelled wheelchair handrim on a motor-driven treadmill at different velocities (40, 60, 80 m/min) and seating position used recline ($100^{\circ}$, $110^{\circ}$, $120^{\circ}$) with a wheelchair simulator. Interface pressure consists of average (mean of the pressure sensor values) and maximum pressure (highest individual sensor value). The results of this study were as follows; No significant correlation in maximum/average pressure was found between a static position and a 40 m/min wheelchair propulsion (p>.05). However, a significant increase in maximum/average pressure were identified between conditions of a static position and 60 m/min, and 80 m/min wheelchair propulsion (p<.05). No significant correlation in maximum pressure were found between a $90^{\circ}$ recline (neutral position) and a $100^{\circ}$, $110^{\circ}$, or $120^{\circ}$ recline of the wheelchair back (p>.05). No significant difference in average pressure was found between conditions of a $90^{\circ}$ recline and both a $100^{\circ}$ and $110^{\circ}$ recline of wheelchair back. However, a significant reduction in average pressure was identified between conditions of a $90^{\circ}$ and $120^{\circ}$ recline of wheelchair back (p<.05). This study has shown some interesting results that reclining the seat by $120^{\circ}$ reduced average interface pressure, including the reduction or prevention in edema. And interface pressure was greater during dynamic wheelchair propulsion compared with static seating. Therefore, the optimal seating position and seating system ought to provide postural control and pressure relief. We need an education on optimal seating position and a suitable propulsion speeds for wheelchair users.
