Content Analysis of the Teaching Support Program of the Teaching and Learning Center and Direction of the Teaching Support Platform (교수학습센터의 교수지원 프로그램 컨텐츠 분석 및 교수지원 플랫폼이 나아갈 방향)

  • This is a study on the direction of the teaching support program contents analysis and teaching support platform of the teaching and learning center. To this end, in April 2020, a literature study was conducted, an analysis of the current status of teaching support at other universities and K universities, an analysis of professor interviews, and expert verification were conducted. The main research results are as follows. First, as a result of examining the current status of teaching support programs at 24 universities, it was confirmed that special lectures on teaching methods, class consulting, teaching method research meetings, and educational resource rooms were operated as representative programs. Second, the basic structure of the platform is composed of a lecture case sharing bulletin board to enable active exchange of opinions on teaching methods among teachers, a teaching support program application bulletin board to enable application for a teaching method program, and Edu-tech to activate the platform, and a professor support menu. Third, the contents of the teaching support platform were implemented based on the basic structure of the teaching support platform. This study analyzed the contents of the teaching support program and conducted a study to suggest the direction of the teaching support platform to discuss the direction of establishing an effective teaching support platform.

The Effect of Dental Hygiene's Concern For Preventive Care on Patient Education by Mediating the Knowledge of Preventive Care (치과위생사의 예방진료 관심도가 예방관리 지식을 매개하여 환자교육에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted on 236 dental hygienists to find ways to improve patient education by identifying their concern in preventive care, their level of prevention management knowledge, and their impact on patient education by mediating their prevention-related knowledge. It was found that the prevention care concern, prevention knowledge and patient education of dental hygienists have a significant correlation, the higher the prevention care concern, the better the patient education, the better the prevention care knowledge, the better the prevention management knowledge, the better the patient education. The regression analysis and Sobel verification were conducted in order to identify a mediating effect of the preventive care knowledge on the influence that the level of concern on preventive dental care affects the patient education. Therefore, it was confirmed that the level of concern on preventive dental care has not only a direct effect and an indirect effect. Based on the results of this study, it is believed that the preventive education effect of patients will be even higher if institutional support is supported along with the attention of dental hygienists on preventive work and education for preventive knowledge content.

A Study on the Types of Mathematical Justification Shown in Elementary School Students in Number and Operations, and Geometry (수와 연산.도형 영역에서 초등 3학년 학생들의 수학적 정당화 유형에 관한 연구)

  • The comprehensive implication in justification activity that includes the proof in the elementary school level where the logical and formative verification is hard to come has to be instructed. Therefore, this study has set the following issues. First, what is the mathematical justification type shown in the Number and Operations, and Geometry? Second, what are the errors shown by students in the justification process? In order to solve these research issues, the test was implemented on 62 third grade elementary school students in D City and analyzed the mathematical justification type. The research result could be summarized as follows. First, in solving the justification type test for the number and operations, students evenly used the empirical justification type and the analytical justification type. Second, in the geometry, the ratio of the empirical justification was shown to be higher than the analytical justification, and it had a difference from the number and operations that evenly disclosed the ratio of the empirical justification and the analytical justification. And third, as a result of analyzing the errors of students occurring during the justification process, it was shown to show in the order of the error of omitting the problem solving process, error of concept and principle, error in understanding the questions, and technical error. Therefore, it is prudent to provide substantial justification experiences to students. And, since it is difficult to correct the erroneous concept and mistaken principle once it is accepted as familiar content that it is required to find out the principle accepted in error or mistake and re-instruct to correct it.

Development of Success Attribution Scale for Body Guard in Korea (한국 경호원의 성공귀인 측정도구 개발)

  • This study is for presenting the factors about success attribution that fit the korean security service conditions and developing the actual analysis of measurement tools by investigating the success factors of the security service agents. To this end, conducted a meeting from the fully open questionnaire at first, and then formed the semi-structured questionnaire, finally carried out the survey from the closed questionnaire and analyzed data from SPSS 21.0, AMOS 21.0 and developed the measurements. It was conducted from December, 2014 to June, 2015. This survey was conducted of 170 security guards after the verification of the content validity though the pilot survey and presented the success attribution factors and standards on the basis of the result form this survey. At the first and second analysis process, the success attribution factors of the guards consisted of inner qualities, external qualities, induction factors for inner qualities, and induction factor for external qualities. On analysis of the final data and documents, however, at the third analysis, the success attribution factors of the guards consisted of 'martial arts and physical ability'(4 questions), 'attitudes to work'(3 questions), 'support for the working environment'(3 questions), 'organized business skills'(3 questions), 'attitudes to the duty'(3 questions), and 'coping with crises(2 questions).

International Research Trends of Engineering Education in Secondary School Level : Focus on the Technology Education Related Journals (국외 중등 공학 교육 연구 동향 분석 : 기술 교육 관련 학술지를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzed the international research trend of the secondary school level engineering education published from 2004 to 2014 in four major journals associated with technology education. The findings of this study were as followings First, regarding the published year, the studies related to the secondary school level engineering education were started from 2004 and had been conducted most actively from 2007 to 2011 (32 pieces). However, the number of studies decreased after 2012. Second, regarding the research topic, the number of study followed by 'survey/investigation' (16 pieces), 'establishment of concept/theoretical discussion' (11 pieces), 'verification of teaching method/models' effect' (10 pieces), 'teaching method/model observation' (7 pieces), 'development of concept/teaching method/model' (4 pieces). Third, regarding the research subject, the number of study followed by 'high school student' (17 pieces), 'literature' (16 pieces), 'teacher' (12 pieces), 'professor' (5 pieces). Fourth, regarding the research method, the number of study followed by 'survey research' (13 pieces), 'literature research' (12 pieces), 'qualitative research' (12 pieces), 'experimental research' (6 pieces), 'integrated research' (5 pieces). Based on the conclusion of this study, there are the needs for further studies to establish theoretical foundation on the engineering concept and content elements in secondary school level, investigate technology teachers' perception toward the implementation of engineering education, and analyze secondary school students' problem solving process.

A Study on case for making immediacy Visual Effects field - With Focus on The Load of The Ring - (시각효과(Visual Effects) 분야가 비매개화에 기여한 사례에 관한 연구 - 반지의 제왕을 중심으로 -)

  • The mediacy is now evolving with the development of mankind civilization. In the evolution, mediacy shows duplicate logic of remediacy with the opposite mediacy property between immediacy and hypermediacy. The duplicate logic of remediacy is defined as a result of hypermediacy which clearly requires transparency and absorption of immediacy. Because of changes from analog to digital age and the development of image technique, At present, the era is coming when the splendid and spectacle visual speaks for the screen not well-organized script and direction. With this developing period, the research for visual effect is actively performed and advanced to the new study. Though the study of visual effects contains the hypermediacy trait, it is also conjugated as a research field for immediacy on the screen which is the wish of content production directors. In this study, the analysis of case study for the movie "The Lord of The ring"'s visual effect application is carried out. Also, it is investigated that visual effects can guarantee for the verification of valuable new research filed which insure transparency and absorption in the hypermediacy results. Furthermore, on this study, it is executed for the contribution of the identity and systematization in the new research field "Visual Effects".

Remediation of Petroleum-Contaminated Soil by a Directly-Heated Thermal Desorption Process (직접 가열식 열탈착 공정을 이용한 유류오염토양의 정화)

  • A field soil highly contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons (JP-8 and diesel fuels) was employed for its remediation by a lab-scale thermal desorption process. The soil was collected in the vicinity of an underground storage tank in a closed military base and its contamination level was as high as 4,476 ppm as total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH). A lab scale directly-heated low temperature thermal desorption (LTTD) system of 10-L capacity was developed and operated for the thermal treatment of TPH contaminated soils in this study. The desired operation temperature was found to be approximately $200-300^{\circ}C$ from the thermal gravimetric analysis of the contaminated field soils. The removal efficiencies higher than 90% were achieved by the LTTD treatment at $200^{\circ}C$ for 10 min as well as at $300^{\circ}C$ for 5 min. As the water content in the soils increased and therefore they were likely to be present as lumps, the removal efficiency noticeably decreased, indicating that a pre-treatment such as field drying should be required. The analysis of physical and chemical properties of soils before and after the LTTD treatment demonstrated that no significant changes occurred during the thermal treatment, supporting no needs for additional post-treatments for the soils treated by LTTD. The results presented in this study are expected to provide useful information for the field application and verification of LTTD for the highly contaminated geo-environment.

Development of the Multidimensional Scale of Addictive Behavior for Adolescents (청소년 중독행동의 다차원적 척도 개발)

  • Purpose: This study was done to develop the multidimensional scale of addictive behavior for adolescents. Methods: The process involved construction of a conceptual framework, initial items, verification of content validity, selection of secondary items, and extraction of final items. The participants were 636 adolescents in six middle schools and four high schools. Results: Seventy items were selected for the final scale, and categorized 8 factors explaining 56.5% of total variance. The factors were labeled as game addictive behavior, shopping addictive behavior, mobile phone addictive behavior, nicotine addictive behavior, television addictive behavior, gambling addictive behavior, alcohol addictive behavior, and internet addictive behavior. The scores for the scale were significantly correlated with addictive personality and self-control. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the 70 items was .94. Scale scores identified adolescents as addictive behavior group, risk group, and average group. Conclusion: The above findings indicate that the multidimensional scale of addictive behavior for adolescents has good validity and reliability when used with adolescents. More importantly, it provides the first step toward developing a addiction prevention program. Additionally the scales provide an education or guideline, and proper physical and mental health management of youth in research and practice for the promotion of education.

A Study of Intelligent Recommendation System based on Naive Bayes Text Classification and Collaborative Filtering (나이브베이즈 분류모델과 협업필터링 기반 지능형 학술논문 추천시스템 연구)

  • Scholarly information has increased tremendously according to the development of IT, especially the Internet. However, simultaneously, people have to spend more time and exert more effort because of information overload. There have been many research efforts in the field of expert systems, data mining, and information retrieval, concerning a system that recommends user-expected information items through presumption. Recently, the hybrid system combining a content-based recommendation system and collaborative filtering or combining recommendation systems in other domains has been developed. In this paper we resolved the problem of the current recommendation system and suggested a new system combining collaborative filtering and Naive Bayes Classification. In this way, we resolved the over-specialization problem through collaborative filtering and lack of assessment information or recommendation of new contents through Naive Bayes Classification. For verification, we applied the new model in NDSL's paper service of KISTI, especially papers from journals about Sitology and Electronics, and witnessed high satisfaction from 4 experimental participants.

Model Verification of Decision Assisting Nitrogen Expert System NES to Illinois Cornfields (일리노이주의 옥수수 포장에서 질소질 비료의 적정시용에 대한 전문가체계의 검증)

  • To verify the newly developed decision assisting expert system for nitrogen fertilizer application NES to Illinois cornfields, a couple of N rate studies from Dr. Howard and five Illinois Agricultural Experiment Stations were applied. Four types of recommendations including the current Illinois recommendation, Hoeft recommendation, NES, and maximum economic recommendation were compared with each other for the crop yields, profits, recovery rate, and N losses to cornfields. The N rate of NES recommendation, considering productivity index (PI), soil organic matter content (SOM), and pre-sidedressing nitrate concentration (PSNT) level, was the lowest in comparison to those of other recommendations. However, N recovery rate in NES was generally higher and the resulting N loss was lower than others. But, adherence to the recommendations may also reduce farmers income if environmental expense did not considered. Therefore, NES will be more effective by adding the factors including environmental expense, tillage systems, crop rotation, and other agricultural management parameters.
