전기차 충전을 위한 초전도 무선전력전송 시스템의 동작 특성 (Operating Characteristics of Superconducting Wireless Power Transfer System for Electric Vehicle Charging)

  • As wireless power transfer (WPT) technology using strongly coupled electromagnetic resonators is a recently explored technique to realize the large power delivery and storage without any cable or wire, this technique is required for diffusion of electric vehicles (EVs) since it makes possible a convenient charging system. Typically, since the normal conducting coils are used as a transmitting coil in the CPT system, there is limited to deliver the large power promptly in the contactless EV charging system. From this reason, we proposed the combination CPT technology with HTS transmitting antenna, In this study, we examined the improvement of transmission efficiency and properties for HTS and copper antennas, respectively, at 30 cm distance. Thus, we obtained improved transfer efficiency with HTS antenna over 10% compared with copper antenna

전도성 환봉 이송용 동전기 차륜의 설계 (Design of an Electrodynamic Wheel for Transfer of Conductive Rod)

  • Instead of multi-phase ac current, the magnetic field travels spatially through mechanical rotation of permanent magnets at the electrodynamic wheel (EDW). Traveling of magnetic field generally leads to a generation of inductive force in the traveling direction. In this paper, we suggest a spiral EDW to travel the magnetic field in the axial direction of the conductive rod. So, it is possible to levitate and transfer the rod through multi-axial forces by the spiral EDW. However, physical dimensions of permanent magnets constituting EDW influence relative ratios between three-axial forces generated on the rod. Therefore, the sensitivity analysis for design parameters is performed using FEM analysis. The stable operation is verified experimentally.

CRM using short range location based technology

  • In this paper, we propose the CRM service model for analyzing and managing location based data collected by Wi-Fi and BLE. As mobile devices became personalized, enterprises became interested in individual location, and location based mobile marketing started to stand on spotlight. Location based proximity marketing is developing along with contactless data transmission technology, and payment system that uses NFC, Beacon that utilizes BLE, as well as advertisement via Wi-Fi are being serviced. We suggest the model that mobile devices can be detected and identified by MAC address with the need of being connected to Wi-FI or Bluetooth interface. MAC addresses are not associated with any specific user account or mobile phone number. The idea is to be able to measure the amount of people which are present in a certain point at a specific time, allowing the study of the evolution of data analysis and offers effective information for decision-makings.

The Transformation of the Advertising Industry in the 'Un-tact' Digital Technology Era

  • The advent of the "un-tact 2.0 era," described as a "new normal non-face-to-face social relationship," accelerates the transformation of the living paradigm as a fully digital mediated social relationship. The emergence of these new forms of digital behaviors and mediated relationships significantly influences the industry prospect and consumers' individual lives. Advertising has played a decisive role in moving the formation forces of society, creating a dynamic flow of the capitalist system across races and geographical boundaries. Its role will become more fundamental in the physical contactless environment due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Accordingly, advertising has changed and modified its shape and meaning throughout history to adapt to the dynamic external environment. In this article, we illustrated four primary stages of the evolution in the advertising industry from simple advertising to convergence of advertising. Finally, we also identified the challenges of the present advertising industry and the paradigm transformation of "un-tact 2.0" with various related examples.

  • 최근 반도체 및 FPD(Flat Panel Display) 산업에서 글라스의 사이즈와 무게가 증가함에 따라 물류 이송 시스템의 전원장치인 비접촉 공진 DC/DC 컨버터의 크기와 용량이 증가하는 추세이다. 또한, 클린룸의 규모가 커짐에 따라 물류 이송 시스템인 Stocker 시스템의 사이즈가 커지고 길이가 장거리화 되고 있다. 이에 생산수율을 높이기 위해 Stocker 시스템의 전체 택타임(Tact Time)을 줄이기 위한 방안으로 차세대 Stocker 시스템의 속도를 증가하도록 요구되어 지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 차세대 Stocker 시스템의 속도 증가에 대한 전원장치인 비접촉 공진 DC/DC 컨버터를 제안하고, 제작하여, 차세대 Stocker 시스템의 전체 택타임에 대한 비접촉 공진 DC/DC 컨버터의 제어방법과 효율에 대하여 검증하였다.

  • 클린룸의 규모가 커짐에 따라 물류 이송 장비의 사이즈가 커지고 길이가 장거리화 되고 있다. 이에 이송대차(Vehicle)의 수가 증가하는 추세이다. 같은 클린룸 공간에서 물류 이송 시스템의 공간 활용 밀도를 높이면 생산수율을 높일 수 있다. 따라서 OHS(Over Head Shuttle) 시스템은 여러 대의 이송대차간 독립제어가 가능하고, 물류 이송 장비의 구조가 직선구간과 곡선구간이 혼용되어진 구조를 가지며, OHS 시스템의 이송대차에 전원을 안정적으로 공급하기 위한 비접촉 전원장치에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 직선구간과 곡선구간에서 비접촉 전원장치를 안정적인 전원을 공급하기 위한 방법을 제시하고, 기존 방법과 비교 검토하기 위해 시작품을 제작하여 이동대차 2대를 대상으로 실험을 행하여 검증하였다.

  • 최근 반도체 및 FPD 산업에서 Glass의 사이즈, 무게의 증가함에 따라 물류 이송 장비의 전원장치인 비접촉 전원장치의 크기와 용량이 증가하는 추세이며, 또한, 클린룸의 규모가 커짐에 따라 물류 이송 장비 시스템의 길이가 길어지고 Vehicle의 수가 증가하는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 여러 대의 Vehicle간 독립제어가 가능하고, 물류 이송 장비의 구조가 직선부분과 곡선부분이 혼용되어진 구조에서도 사용 가능한 정전류 비접촉 전원장치의 주요 전력변환 토플로지 별 해로해석, 제어방법을 제시하였고 특히 직 병렬 공진 컨버터의 회로해석, 특성평가를 행하였다. 이 특성평가를 바탕으로 정전류 비접촉 전원장치의 시제품을 제작하여 저항성 부하와 선형 구동 시스템에 적용한 Vehicle 2대를 부하로 사용하여 실험을 행하여 실제 적용, 가능함을 보이고자 한다.

Visualization and classification of hidden defects in triplex composites used in LNG carriers by active thermography

  • Triplex composite is an epoxy-bonded joint structure, which constitutes the secondary barrier in a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier. Defects in the triplex composite weaken its shear strength and may cause leakage of the LNG, thus compromising the structural integrity of the LNG carrier. This paper proposes an autonomous triplex composite inspection (ATCI) system for visualizing and classifying hidden defects in the triplex composite installed inside an LNG carrier. First, heat energy is generated on the surface of the triplex composite using halogen lamps, and the corresponding heat response is measured by an infrared (IR) camera. Next, the region of interest (ROI) is traced and noise components are removed to minimize false indications of defects. After a defect is identified, it is classified as internal void or uncured adhesive and its size and shape are quantified and visualized, respectively. The proposed ATCI system allows the fully automated and contactless detection, classification, and quantification of hidden defects inside the triplex composite. The effectiveness of the proposed ATCI system is validated using the data obtained from actual triplex composite installed in an LNG carrier membrane system.

  • Nowadays, the development of sustainable transportation has been researched all over the world and Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) is conducting a study in order to apply the sustainable Contactless Inductive Power Supply Technology to the electric railway system. But, inherent large flux leakage has limited the high power transmission because the gap of the Inductive Power Transformer(IPT) is much larger than one of the conventional transformers. In this study, a method to compensate the leakage flux and improve the power transmission by using LLC resonant inverter was proposed, incorporated in a built system, and verified by experimental work.

A Platform-Based SoC Design of a 32-Bit Smart Card

  • In this paper, we describe the development of a platform-based SoC of a 32-bit smart card. The smart card uses a 32-bit microprocessor for high performance and two cryptographic processors for high security. It supports both contact and contactless interfaces, which comply with ISO/IEC 7816 and 14496 Type B. It has a Java Card OS to support multiple applications. We modeled smart card readers with a foreign language interface for efficient verification of the smart card SoC. The SoC was implemented using 0.25 ${\mu}m$ technology. To reduce the power consumption of the smart card SoC, we applied power optimization techniques, including clock gating. Experimental results show that the power consumption of the RSA and ECC cryptographic processors can be reduced by 32% and 62%, respectively, without increasing the area.
