Damage Monitoring of Rolling Contact Fatigue in Wheel Specimen for High Speed Train Using Electro-Magnetic Sensor (전자기센서를 이용한 고속철도용 차륜재의 구름접촉피로 손상 모니터링)

  • Upon investigation of the damaged wheels for high speed train it was determined that the damage was caused by rolling contact fatigue during operation of train. The major problems that railway vehicle system using wheel-rail has to face during operation of railway vehicle are rolling contact fatigue, cracks in wheels, cracks in rails and wheel-rail profile wear. If these deficiencies are not controlled at early stages the huge economical problems due to unexpected maintenance cost in railway vehicle can be happened. Also, If the accurate knowledge of contact conditions between wheel and rail can be evaluated, the damage of wheel can be prevented and the maintenance operation can save money. This paper presents the applicability of electro-magnetic technique to the detection and sizing of defects in wheel. Under the condition of continuous rolling contact fatigue the damage of wheel has continuously monitored using the applied sensor. It was shown that the usefulness of the applied sensor was verified by twin disc test and the measured damaged sizes showed good agreement with the damaged sizes estimated by electro-magnetic technique.

  • In this paper, we proposed an automatic monitoring system for contact center in order to manage customer's complaint and agent's quality. The proposed system allows more accurate monitoring using emotion recognition and keyword spotting method for neutral/anger voice emotion. The system can provide professional consultation and management for the customer with language violence, such as abuse and sexual harassment. We developed a method of building robust algorithm on heterogeneous speech DB of many unspecified customers. Experimental results confirm the stable and improved performance using real contact center speech data.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a VoIP traffic generator for simulating call processing in IP contact center systems. Creating a VoIP call based on H.323 and SIP and generating RTP traffic which uses G.711 codec, the generator lets many users simulate situations on which they call each other. With this tool, which is named VoIPTG, users can combine H.323 or SIP session control protocol, the number of users, time variation, and voice codecs and then direct various situations for simulation. This traffic generator can be used for testing functions of an IP contact center and especially it is necessary for testing the quality of IP based call recording systems.

  • In this paper, we analyze the Contact Center's specific-security characteristics, including the threat model and weakness and study effective security measures focussing on protecting customer's personal information. Also, we establish the information security management system to reduce the possibility of information leakage from the internal employee in advance. As a result, we propose the "Security management model for protecting personal information for customer Contact Center" that complies with current ISO/IEC JTC 1 ISMS 27000 series standards.

A Study on User Switching Intention from Contact Center-oriented to AI Chatbot-Oriented Customer Services (컨택센터 중심에서 인공지능 챗봇 중심 고객 서비스로의 사용자 전환의도에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzes the factors and effects on the users' intention to switch from contact center-oriented to AI chatbot-oriented customer services by combining Push-Pull-Mooring Model and provides insights for companies considering the adoption of AI chatbots. To test the model, we surveyed users with experience using chatbots at least once across different age groups. Finally, we analyzed 176 cases for the analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics and SmartPLS 4.0. The results of hypotheses testing rejected the hypotheses for variables of inconsistent quality and low availability of push factors and low switching cost of mooring factor while accepting the hypotheses for the tardy response of push factors and all pull factors. Therefore, these findings provide important implications for researchers and practitioners who wish to conduct research or adopt AI chatbots. In conclusion, users do not feel inconvenienced by the contact center-oriented service but also perceive high trust and convenience with AI chatbot-oriented service. However, despite low switching costs, users consider chatbots a complementary tool rather than an alternative. So, companies adopting AI chatbots should consider what features the users expect from AI chatbots and facilitate these features when implementing AI chatbots.

  • In this paper, descibed was the derived algorithm for calculating contact point between wheel and rail and the developed method for rail modeling. The proposed methods use travelling distance to represent rail center line position vector and rail orientation with respect to Newtonian reference frame. The methods call be easily used ill multibody dynamic analysis. Two numerical examples are shown to verify the validity of the proposed methods.

  • The flying height of contact slider is determined by vertical and pitching motions of slider. This paper performed the computer simulation for flying height change of contact slider. It is changed by many parameters, contact stiffness, contact damping, air bearing stiffness ratio, a location of mass center, and so on. Computer simulation is performed for knowing for what change of these parameters influences in flying height of contact slider. Disk surface is modeled in harmonic wave with from 10㎑ to 600㎑. Tri-pad slider is modeled in that contact slider has 2-DOF motion (vertical motion, pitching motion). Tri-pad contact slider is analyzed by numerical analysis method in computer simulation.

  • This paper presents sealing contact stress and deformation behaviors of an elastomeric contact seal for a pipe connection. In this study, a pipe connection is used by a joint nut and an elastomeric contact seal with a sealing interference of 0.2~0.5mm. A sealing interference in which compresses an elastomeric contact seal is generated by fastening a joint nut between two pipes. The FEM computed results show that the contact normal stress of contact model 1 with an inclined sealing surface is 1.5~1.75 times high in compared with that of contact model 2 with a parallel sealing surface. This indicates that the sealing contact surface recommends a wedge contact mode between two pipe connections for a high sealing compression stress.

Effects of Heel Contact Methods of Stair Ascent on Abdominal Muscle Activation in Healthy Subjects: A Cross-Sectional Pilot Study (계단 오르기 시 발뒤꿈치 접지 방법이 정상인의 복부 근육 활성도에 미치는 영향: 단면 예비연구)

  • PURPOSE: This study was to determine the changes of abdominal muscles activation according to the heel contact methods of stair ascent in healthy young adults. METHODS: 33 healthy young subjects (mean age: $26.37{\pm}9.72$ years, age range: 20-32 years) volunteered under two conditions. They were performed stair ascent with heel contact and without heel contact. The effects of heel contact methods were assessed using the surface electromyography (sEMG) analysis during stair ascent for activation of abdominal muscles (internal oblique; IO, transverse abdominis; TrA, external oblique; EO rectus abdominis; RA). The interventions were conducted over three trials in each method, and measurements were performed on each subject by one examiner in three trials. RESULTS: Our results revealed that there were significantly greater increase in the EMG activation of IO and TrA muscles in the performance of stair ascent with heel contact (p<.05) compared to those of stair ascent without heel contact. The results also showed that there were greater decrease in the ratio of abdominal muscle activation in those of stair ascent with heel contact compared with stair ascent without heel contact. CONCLUSION: These findings demonstrated that the method of stair ascent with heel contact would suggest positive evidence for improving activation of abdominal muscles.

Performance improvement in bottom-contact pentacene organic thin-film transistors by the PMMA layer insertion

  • For the bottom-contact pentacene organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs), the insertion of a thin PMMA layer $(20{\AA})$ between the pentacene and the electrode improves the electrical performances, such as carrier mobility and on-current magnitude, about 4 times larger than those of the devices without the PMMA. The performance enhancement is presumably due to the decreased contact resistance between metal and pentacene by inserting the thin PMMA layer.
