전기화재 예측을 위한 마이컴 프로세서 알고리즘 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of Microcomputer Processor Algorithm for Electrical Fire Prediction)

  • This study has looked into ways to cut the power supply by predicting electrical fire that may occur in low-voltage cable, which is most frequently used in industrial settings and households. In addition, we have designed a system that cuts off electricity to prevent the fire upon occurrence of events that may cause electrical fire, including short circuit, tracking and contact failure. A lot of previous researches have designed arc suppressors built in analog circuit, which left much to be desired such as difficulty in remote control and inability to identify the location of arc suppressor when it is activated. To address these issues, the study seeks to develop an arc suppressor using micom and to verify its performance through simulations designed to detect arc faults.

  • An ideal circuit breaker should supply electric power to loads without losses in a conduction state and completely isolate the load from the power source by providing insulation strength in a break state. Fault current is relatively easy to break in an Alternating Current (AC) circuit breaker because the AC current becomes zero at every half cycle. However, fault current in DC circuit breaker (DCCB) should be reduced by generating a high arc voltage at the breaker contact point. Large fire may occur if the DCCB does not take sufficient arc voltage and allows the continuous flow of the arc fault current with high temperature. A semiconductor circuit breaker with a power electronic device has many advantages. These advantages include quick breaking time, lack of arc generation, and lower noise than mechanical circuit breakers. However, a large load capacity cannot be applied because of large conduction loss. An extinguishing technology of DCCB with polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) device is proposed and evaluated through experiments in this study to take advantage of low conduction loss of mechanical circuit breaker and arcless breaking characteristic of semiconductor devices.

FPD 공정용 Glass 이송 시스템을 위한 자기부상 EMS의 개발 (Magnetic Levitated Electric Monorail System for Flat Panel Display Glass Delivery Applications)

  • In recent semiconductor and FPD (Flat Panel Display) manufacturing processes, high clean-class delivery operation is required more and more for short working time and better product quality. Traditionally SLIM (Single-sided Linear Induction Motor) is widely used in the liner drive applications because of its simplicity in the rail structure. A magnetically levitated (Maglev) unmanned vehicle with SLIM traction, which is powered by a CPS (Contactless Power Supply) can be a high precision delivery solution for this industry. In this paper unmanned FPD-carrying vehicle, which can levitate without contacting the rail structure, is suggested for high clean-class FPD delivery applications. It can be more acceptable for the complex facilities composed with many processes which require longer rails, because of simple rail structure. The test setup consists of a test vehicle and a rounded rail, in which the vehicle can load and unload products at arbitrary position commanded through wireless communications of host computer. The experimental results show that the suggested vehicle and rail have reasonable traction servo and robust electromagnetic suspensions without any contact. The resolution of point servo errors in the SLIM traction system is accomplished under 1mm. The maximum gap error is ${\pm}0.25mm$ with nominal air gap length of 4.0mm in the electromagnetic suspensions. This type of automated delivery vehicle is expected to have significant role in the clean delivery like FPD glass delivery.

부식에 의한 가선재 수명특성에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Corrosion on the Fatigue Life of Catenary Wire)

  • Contact lines are necessary to supply electric locomotives with electric power. As most railways are gradually electrified with modernized electric cars, the demand for catenary wires and their facilities are also increased. Catenary wires made by metallic materials are generally used in the open air. They are exposed to the marine area with air-borne salt or severely polluted industrial area with much corrosive emission gases depending on the railway locations. In urban area, acid rain may cause a degradation of catenary wire system. Corrosion of catenary wires can make their actual lifetime shorter than that originally designed. Thus, the messenger wires, a kind of catenary wire system, were investigated with respect to corrosion, which include new and the used one collected at the field. They are also vibrated with some amplitude everytime the train passes through the railway. The frequent cyclic load on the wire any result in a fatigue damage, Surface damage by corrosion can make fatigue crack initiate with ease. In the present study, the fatigue life of the used wire was measured 40 to 50% shorter than that of new one in average.

  • Inductive power transfer module(IPTM) is a contact-less power supply device and its application range has been extended to the large capacity devices such as electric vehicles, industrial mover and railway system as well as small capacity devices such as electric toothbrush charger, celluar phone charger, and so on. For railway application, the IPTM will transfer energy while train stops at a station for around 30[sec]. Therefore, equivalent circuit parameters and coupling coefficient of IPTM are an important design factor for the high energy transfer efficiency. This paper investigates the properties of equivalent circuit parameters and coupling coefficient of U-U type IPTM and U-I type IPTM using an analytical method and experimental method. Considering the coupling coefficient of the U-U type is larger than U-I type's, the U-U type is suitable for an application which need maximum power transfer and high efficiency.

Design and Experimental Evaluation of a Robust Force Controller for a 6-Link Electro-Hydraulic Manipulator via H$_{\infty}$ Control Theory

  • Uninterrupted power supply has become indispensable during the maintenance task of active electric power lines as a result of today's highly information-oriented society and increasing demand of electric utilities. This maintenance task has the risk of electric shock and the danger of falling from high place. Therefore it is necessary to realize an autonomous robot system using electro-hydraulic manipulators because hydraulic manipulators have the advantage of electric insulation and power/mass density. Meanwhile an electro-hydraulic manipulator using hydraulic actuators has many nonlinear elements, and its parameter fluctuations are greater than those of an electrically driven manipulator. So it is relatively difficult to realize not only stable contact work but also accurate force control for the autonomous assembly tasks using hydraulic manipulators. In this paper, the robust force control of a 6-link electro-hydraulic manipulator system used in the real maintenance task of active electric lines is examined in detail. A nominal model for the system is obtained from experimental frequency responses of the system, and the deviation of the manipulator system from the nominal model is derived by a multiplicative uncertainty. Robust disturbance observers for force control are designed using this information in an H$\_$$\infty$/ framework, and implemented on the two different setups. Experimental results show that highly robust force tracking by a 6-link electro-hydraulic manipulator could be achieved even if the stiffness of environment and the shape of wall change.

  • 2011년에 발생한 블랙아웃 사태 때 전기 공급이 중단된 엘리베이터에 많은 사람이 갇히는 일이 발생하였다. 그때 엘리베이터와 연결된 관리실 전화망이 부실하게 작동되는 문제점이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 ICT 기반 엘리베이터 비상통화장치 프로토타입 시스템을 제안하고 성능을 평가한다. 제안된 시스템은 승객의 안전을 보장하기 위하여 엘리베이터에서 위험 상황이 발생하면 신속하게 대응한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 관리실과 통화접속을 시도한다. 만일 접속이 실패하면 통화음 및 녹음음성의 분석을 통해 등록된 긴급연락번호 및 구조대로 순환 순서에 따라 순차적으로 연결을 시도한다. 또한 긴급 통화 접속이 신속하게 이루어 질 수 있도록 설계하였다. 마지막으로 제안된 시스템은 엘리베이터의 고장 정보를 고장 처리 단말기로 신속하게 전송하는 기능도 포함한다.

터널의 비접촉 이동식 상태점검 장비: 리뷰 (Non-contact mobile inspection system for tunnels: a review)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 국내외 터널 스캐닝 시스템들을 분석하여 비접촉 이동식 상태점검 장비 개발에 대한 시사점을 도출하기 위한 것이다. 국내외 터널 스캐닝 시스템은 레이저 스캔과 이미지 스캔의 두 가지 기술로 개발되고 있다. 레이저 스캐닝 장비는 포인트 클라우드로부터 터널 라이닝의 기하하적 특성을 재현하는데 장점이 있다. 이미지 스캐닝 장비는 컴퓨터 비전을 활용하여 터널 라이닝 표면의 미세한 균열, 누수 등 손상 검출이 용이하다. 터널 라이닝의 손상 검출을 위해서는 이미지 스캐닝 장비가 더 적합할 것으로 분석되었다. 향후 개발 예정인 카메라 기반의 터널 스캐닝 시스템은 조명, 저장장치, 전원 공급 장치 및 차량 주행 속도 동기화 제어 장치로 구성되어야 할 것이다.

직류철도 급전계통의 안전성 향상을 위한 차단기 동작 최적 설정의 실험적 고찰 (An Experimental Study on Operation Setting Optimization of Circuit Breaker for Improving Safety on DC Railroad Feeder System)

  • This paper presents an experimental study on the optimal settings for the selected DC fault relay (50F) to improve the operating performance for the high-speed circuit breaker on DC feeding system which ensure safety within rolling stock maintenance depot. In this study, current supplied to overhead contact wire was calculated on 1 ms interval to analyze the correction values of DC fault selective relay for the operation of current supply cutout. Particularly, standards for the accurate detection of accidents between an electric railway vehicle and the electric power facilities are shown by investigating the optimal correction values for detection of fault current, and the results indicated that it takes about 213 ms for the DC fault selective relay(50F) to fully open. In the future, the correction values of DC fault selective relay suggested in this paper will be used as the reference values of protective relay for the safe operation of DC electric railroad system such as urban railway.

노내 핵계측 계통 구동기기의 전자식 한계스위치 개발 (Development of Electronic Limit Switch for the Drive Unit of Incore Detector System Application)

  • 본 논문에서 원전의 핵연료 다발의 중섬자속을 측정할 수 있는 노내중성지속 감시계통의 구동모터를 제어하기 위한 스위치의 오동작 원인 분석 및 이 문제를 해결하기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 노내중성자속 감시계동은 검출기 안내관을 통해 검출기가 노심으로 삽입되거나 인출될 경우 접점선호를 발생하는 기계식 스위치레버를 장착하고 있다. 그러나 기계적인 열화나 환경적인 요인에 의해 기계식 스위치레버의 특성이 점점 변화되어 마침내 잘못된 접점신호를 발생하게 된다. 그러므로 아들 문제 해결을 위해 기계식 스위지 대선 전자식 스위치를 검출기 안내관 밖에 배치하였고, 공진효과를 이용하여 점점신호를 발생하는 회로개선과 소음 및 전기적 방해를 방지하기 위한 콘데서를 전자회로 전원 입력측에 설치하였다. 이러한 개선을 완료한 후, 여러 조건하에서 이 향상된 스위치 제어회로를 반복적으로 시험하였는데, 결국 이를 통해 원하는 접점신호를 얻게되었을 뿐 아니라 발전소 정상운전 중에 관련시스템의 주기시험을 통해서도 검출기 접점 오동작 신호가 발생되지 않음울 확인할 수 있게 되었다.
