혁신기술수용모델(TAM)을 응용한 인터넷쇼핑행동 고찰 (An Investigation on Consumer's Internet Shopping Behavior Explained By the Technology Acceptance Model)

  • This study investigates internet shopping behavior of consumers. The rapid growth of the internet shopping markets is solely dependent on the voluntary adoption of internet shopping medium by the personal users. But the studies on this topic are very limited. Based on these facts, this study, recognizing the internet shopping medium as an innovation, studies how consumers understand and use innovative internet shopping medium by applying and extending the technology acceptance model proposed by Davis et. al.(1989). The results of the survey on 947 consumer panel reveal that compatibility, system quality have positive impact on the formation of perceived ease of use. And it is also shown that the perceived ease of use, system quality, and compatibility have positive influence on perceived usefulness, but computer-efficacy has no effect on perceived usefulness. Meanwhile, it is confirmed that perceived usefulness and compatibility have positive effect on attitude toward internet shopping behavior, but perceived ease of use has no effect. In addition, perceived security and social norm, as opposed to the hypotheses, are shown to have no effect on internet shopping behavior. Lastly, applications and related limitations are discussed.

A STUDY ON CONSUMER'S READINESS TOWARDS ADOPTION OF LED LIGHT IN INDIA

  • The purpose of this paper is to find out the factors responsible for purchase of LED (light-emitting-diodes) bulbs & tubes among Indian consumers and how much they are ready to replace their existing lighting system with LED fittings. A multiple regression model has been employed to investigate the factors affecting the buying decision of LED lamps in place of CFL and incandescent lamps. Eleven motives for adopting LED lamps has been identified viz. price, quality, energy saving, durability, brand, promotion, CSR, & environmental consciousness. In addition the effect of demographic variables like gender, age, household income on the purchasing decision of LED has also been examined. A total 150 respondents were contacted visiting different outlet of electrical shops of Northern Delhi. The study may helpful for the companies to decide their marketing strategies to promote LED Lamps among the consumers with an aim to save energy and save environment.

  • With current. difficulties in Korean agricultural sector, the biotecilnoiogy is considered as the most important factor to offset the inferiority in the agriculture. New products by using the biotechnology would be commercialized and consumed by both producers and consumers. Before its production and distribution researches on new product should be undertaken in many aspects, especially in terms of economic aspects. Main objectives of this study are to measure the economic value of the new product using the agro-biotechnology, here potato microtubers, and to examine whether the stated preferences theory, the Contingent Valuation Method(CVM), could be accepted in the economic analysis for the new biotech product. Through the demand function derived from the consequences of functional relationship, the consumer's surplus was estimated.

Economic Analysis of the Receiver Pays Principle

  • This paper is to examine the effect of the receiver pays principle (RPP) on the calling price, social welfare and interconnection charge. A significant trouble with introducing this system in telecommunications pricing is the possibility that the receiving party may refuse to receive a call if the charge he has to bear is very high. We find the condition for no calls to be refused and show that the profit maximizing prices charged to the calling party and the receiving party must satisfy this condition. We demonstrate that the calling price under RPP must be lower than the price under the caller pays principle (CPP), that the profit of a firm will be increased under RPP, but that the consumer surplus will not necessarily be increased under RPP despite the lowered calling price. Also, we show that, if the demand function is linear, the reciprocal interconnection charge under RPP is higher than that under CPP.

Research Trends and Its Determinants in Mobile Commerce Research (1999-2012)

  • This paper wanted to find out research trends and its determinants on mobile commerce research reviewing 439 articles from 1999, the starting year of this field to 2012. Our analytical framework has 4 categories such as general, technology, consumer and firm, and 14 sub-categories. The results are as follows: First, studies on mobile commerce can be divided into 5 stages. Second, trends of mobile commerce are closely related to the evolution of mobile technologies such as communication technologies and devices (2G, 3G, 3G+, 4G LTE, LTE-A). Third, this field was led by USA until 2005 and has been led by Taiwan after 2006. Fourth, China, Korea, UK and Canada are also leading countries, all of which have mobile device manufacturers. Research trends of non-manufacturing countries and manufacturing countries are different from each other. In addition, the trends of leading countries are different from each other reflecting each country's business needs.

소비자의 기술혁신수용 유형에 따른 T-Commerce 수요도 (Consumer's Demands for the T-Commerce By the Technology Adoption Types)

  • 디지털 기술의 발달에 따라 DMB, WiBro 등의 새로운 서비스가 소개되었으며, 이와 같은 서비스는 소비자들의 소비행동 패턴에 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히 국내외 디지털방송기술의 발전으로 소비자에게 새로운 형태의 커머스인 T-Commerce가 주목을 받기 시작했으며 이와 같은 상거래 방식은 현재의 소비 및 구매 패턴과는 아주 다른 새로운 소비환경을 소비자들에게 제공할 것이다. 이에 본 연구에 의한 소비자의 기술혁신 수용유형에 따른 T-Commerce 수요도 분석은 향후 소비자의 소비행위를 예측하고 분석하는데 유용하다고 사료되었다. 본 연구 결과 기술혁신 수용유형은 구매의도에 현저한 차이를 보였으며, T-Commerce 최대 지불의사 가격에는 기술혁신수용 유형, 월평균 인터넷 쇼핑 구매금액, 주간 TV홈쇼핑 이용시간의 순으로 현저한 차이를 보였다. 회귀분석 결과를 토대로 모든 독립변수의 영향력이 통제된 상태에서 기술혁신수용 유형, 인터넷 쇼핑 구매액수, TV홈쇼핑 시청시간에 따른 소비자의 T-Commerce 최대 지불의사 가격(Willingness to pay)을 시뮬레이션 하였다.

  • 제품은 소비자의 니즈를 충족시킴으로서 소비자의 구매행동을 이끌어내게 되며, 결국 제품은 니즈속성의 조합으로 인식된다. R&D란 이러한 니즈속성을 충족시키기 위한 일련의 기술개발 활동으로 정의할 수 있으며, 시장 지향적 R&D 시대에는 니즈속성에 기반을 둔 R&D를 전개함으로서 그 정당성을 얻을 수 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 소비자의 니즈속성을 통해 R&D 영역의 우선순위를 찾아보고자 하였다. 구체적으로는 소비자가 인식하는 특정 제품의 속성(기능)에 대한 중요성 정도와 그 속성을 충족시키기 위한 기술속성의 시급성에 따라 바람직한 단계별 R&D 진화 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 융합제품으로서의 SMART TV를 대상으로 SMART TV분야의 R&D 우선순위를 도출하였다. 분석결과를 통해 향후 SMART TV 제품컨셉은 4단계로 진화(대형화면/고화질 TV, 개방형/참여형 TV, 실감형 TV, 개인화 TV)될 것으로 인식된다. 이러한 결과는 복수의 니즈속성을 가진 제품이 진화하는 과정에서, 시장에서 요구되는 니즈속성을 우선적으로 충족시키는 R&D를 추구함으로써 제품의 성공가능성을 제고할 수 있다는 점을 시사한다. 또한 R&D전략의 측면에서 R&D로드맵을 설계하는데 유용한 분석 틀을 제공한다.

  • 기술 혁신과 더불어 해당 기술을 기반으로 한 제품의 성공적 시장진입은 지속적 혁신의 기반이 된다. 본 연구는 기술집약적인 제약 산업에서 신약의 성공적 출시에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보고 있다. 특히 선발자의 우위와 후발자의 우위에 대한 상반된 이론하에서 언제 선발자의 우위가 후발자에 의해 완화되어 후발제품이 시장 선도제품을 추월할 수 있는지를 중점적으로 살펴보았다. 구체적으로 선발제품과 후발제품의 시장 진입 시간차가 커서 후발자가 선발자의 정보를 충분히 흡수할 수 있을 때, 제품의 향상과 차별화가 가능하여 후발제품이 선발제품을 추월할 확률은 높아진다. 또한 후발자의 마케팅 역량이 크면 선발제품의 고객기반을 보다 효과적으로 극복할 수 있어 후발제품이 선발제품을 추월할 확률이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 진입이 늦어진 후발자의 입장에서 뒤처진 시간을 활용하여 오히려 성공 확률을 높일 수 있는 후발자의 우위를 재조명하며, 우수한 기술을 바탕으로 개발된 신제품이라 할지라도 높은 마케팅 역량이 뒷받침되어야 선발자의 우위를 극복하고 시장 추격의 확률을 높일 수 있다는 실질적인 시사점을 제공한다.
