Screening performance of the existing intake screens (drum and travelling screen) on mass impingement of marine animals, a euphausiid, Euphausia pacifica and a scyphozoan medusae, Aurelia aurita that have often clogged intake screens of the Uljin Nuclear Power Plant, was tested. The maximum tolerable densities of marine animals in the inflowing seawater upon the screen were estimated with two different approaches. First the maximum density of jellyfish was calculated from (1) passing amount of seawater per unit time through the screens and (2) the covered area of animals on the screens clogged. The maximum density of krill tolerable in the drum screen was cited from a simulated record of Uljin NPP, then those in the travelling screens were also calculated using the data of drum screen and ratio of seawater amount passing through the screens under the condition of 0.5m water column (W.C.) of the differential pressure (AP) produced by screens, an established permissible limit of ${\Delta}P$. Secondly, the screening performances were also tested by hydrodynamic measurements with various screen models in a circulating water channel equipped with a speed-controlling pump and a differential pressure gauge. From the first approach, the maximum tolerable densities of drum and travelling screen were calculated as 2.0 and $1.5ind/m^3$ for the Jellyfish and 900 and $680ind./m^3$ for the euphausiid, respectively. These densities estimated from the second approach were 2.1 and $0.8ind/m^3$ for the jellyfish and 1059 and $504ind/m^3$ for the euphausiid, respectively. These estimates were compared with the data from historic clogging events to evaluate the practical performance of these intake screens. The comparisons suggest a newly improved intake-screen of which performance should be at least seven times (approximately) better than the existing ones ior the krill and 3.2 times for the jellyfish, respectively, for preventing mass impingement, and for maintaining the condition of the differential pressure between the screens below 0.3 m W.C.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the performance and work productivity of wet type pavement cutters and sludge suction type pavement cutters (hereinafter referred to as automatic pavement cutters) developed to reduce scattering dust. We first investigated the development status of wet type manual pavement cutters that are mainly used in Korea and automatic pavement cutters, and analyzed the pavement cutting work in detail. And the standard cutting performance was derived by measuring the cutting time by depth by applying the two equipment to the test bed under the same conditions. However, there is a limitation that the data measured in the test bed does not reflect the various variables of the actual pavement cutting site. Therefore, in this study, data was collected through field surveys, and the correlation between cutting distance and time was analyzed, and then a model for calculating the productivity of pavement cutters was presented through simple regression analysis. As a result of comparative analysis of the values derived from the regression equation with the standard cutting performance derived from the test bed, the cutting performance derived through the regression equation showed a similar trend to the standard cutting performance. Finally, we verified the usability of the automated pavement cutter developed by qualitatively analyzing three tasks that are difficult to measure quantitatively but affect productivity.
Recently, the domestic e-commerce market has achieved remarkable growth through the spread of e-commerce throughout the industry. Nevertheless, the ratio of e-commerce use by our small and medium-sized enterprises has turned out to be very low. The reason for this low participation rate of SMEs in B2B e-commerce market is due to various reasons, but also the lack of empirical performance measurement and evaluation considering the characteristics of B2B e-commerce market in which SMEs participate. Therefore, this study was intended to analyze the effectiveness of B2B e-commerce use of B2B e-commerce to companies that are provided in conjunction with e-Marketplace by public credit guarantee agencies with experience in use. To this end, 14 items related to finance derived through prior research were used to conduct management performance analysis and hypothesis verification from a financial perspective. The implications of this study are expected to be that an empirical performance analysis from the financial perspective of a B2B e-commerce guarantee Utilized company can be used as a basis for policymaking for the activation of the B2B e-commerce guarantee in the future, thus contributing to the establishment of a stable business environment by supporting the expansion of e-commerce by small and medium-sized businesses.

The knowledge resources take a role in promoting the sustainable growth of organization. Therefore, it is important for the members of organization to acquire knowledge consistently so that the company can continue to grow. Knowledge service is the field that provides information and infrastructure which enable the members of organization to acquire new knowledge. As we recognized the importance of knowledge services, we analyzed the level of knowledge service management and development through the impact of knowledge quality on user capabilities. First, the matrix of knowledge patterns was presented based on the type of information and the level of customer interaction. According to patterns, the knowledge service was classified into three types of information providing, information analysis, and infrastructure, and then the results of structural model analysis were presented for each type. It found that the impact of knowledge service quality on user competence was different according to the type of service. The results suggested new indicators for measuring the performance of knowledge services, and provided information for reconstructing services based on the user considering the integrated operation of knowledge service and organizational designing knowledge service.

The purpose of this study is to examine the priorities of innovation activities, business performance, and maximization factors of SMEs. Support programs for each government department are operated by various industries. Various supports, including subsidies, grants, marketing, planning, and education, are provided to each company. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and identify the priorities of innovation activities that have a positive effect on business performance. The efficacy of the proposed model and the psychometric properties of structure were analyzed using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The hierarchical structure of corporate innovation activities are composed of 'R&D' and 'government support', and 'Inside R&D, Outsourcing R &D, Consortium R&D'. As a result of analyzing companies that received more than one type of R&D government support, it can be seen that 'government support' (72.1%) is more important than 'research and development' (27.8%). In addition, this study found key sub-factors loadings including Assistant Support (30.1%), Tax Support (22.7%), Funding Support (18.8%), Inside R&D (10.8%), Outsourcing R&D (10.3%), and Consortium R&D (7.2%). Analysis results suggest that the priorities of detailed innovation activities of R&D and government support affect product innovation and process innovation, which in turn, influence business performance and maximization of SMEs. This implies that SMEs who want to participate in the government support project will be helpful in setting the direction of innovation activities. This study also suggests the importance of strategic priorities among the decision elements for CEOs.
